I have been a Direct TV customer for over 8 years until recently. I am switching to our local cable now because since AT&T and Direct TV merged it has been a disaster!

They obviously care nothing about providing quaility customer service. Now all of the CSR's are foreign probably since they pay them nothing and they know nothing. The CSR's give you the run around and even lied when speaking with my husband saying the problem with our HD Channels not working was on there in and it would take 24 hours to resolve. Lie #1, I called back was given the same BS run around turn off receiver, reset ect.

I told him weve already been through this and need someone to come out. He then scheduled appt. for that Monday betw 12-4 Lie #2, come to find out after we called the appt was not till Sat. and they charged us (in advance) $49 for a service call which was not even performed.

I'm done with Direct TV, they are going to be losing a ton of customers if they continue with this *** poor customer service.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

They used to be the best, (nothing is ever perfect though). We have been with them for over 20 years.we became very good customer technicians over the years.

Lots of hands on experience out necessity. We tried Dish for about a week, and after that fiasco of two installers verbally fighting with each other in front of our house and some units never working, we begged to come back to Direct. The recent change to ATT and over to foreign support has been disastrous, as far as I am concerned. The have brought themselves down to the Dish Network support level.

It's all about maximizing profits. They could care less about satisfied customers.

It's all talk. Prices keep going up and service heads the other way.
