DirecTV charged for service not provided.

DirecTV called and said exchange of dishes was necessary. Technician came to exchange, said I didn't have an HD receiver, and would return on Monday.
How could I not have an HD receiver? I've been paying for HDTV for the last year!
DirecTV service representative verified that I had been paying for what I had not recieved, offered $5 credit for 12 months, Showtime for 3. Bull! I wanted refund.
Her supervisor said take the deal or be given nothing.
DirecTV is a thief. They steal, the customer pays, and nothing can be done.
Cancelling service costs extra.
