Directv in Santa Rosa, California - Dropped channels I paid for and am in contract for
I just started receiving service from Directv, and in the contract I signed up for, those channels were included in my package. Without those channels the package isn't worth the price I'm paying. I should get a discount on the price of service if those channels aren't included I don't think it's fair or legal to take away channels that should be in my channel package. This is a bad business practice, and will lose a lot of customers for you. If you don't give back the channels, I will drop your service... You broke the contract, I didn't! This is not fair!
Directv in Blacklick, Ohio - MOVE TO CABLE
I MEAN ARE WE EVER GOING TO GET ALL THE GOOD CHANNELS BACK ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK! THE BILL SHOULD BE PRORATED!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! WE SHOULD ALL GET 3 MONTHS OF FREE SERVICE FOR THE DISADVANTAGE, GLAD TO SEE YOU GUYS ARE ALL ABOUT COSTOMER SATISFACTION. AND THE 4 CHANNELS YOU GAVE TO MAKE UP FOR THIS SUCKS!!!!! IM AM ALL THE WAY AROUND PISSED AT THIS SO CALLED SATALITE COMPANY. CABLE HERE I COME. HOPE YOU ALL GET TO TOGETHER ONE DAY SO YOU CAN AT LEAST KEEP THE FIVE CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE LEFT AFTER ALL IS SETTLED!
Pulled Channels from DIRECTV
This is absolutely shameful that a business as lucritive as DIRECTV is not able to negotiate to keep channels on for the betterment of their paying customers. You woo us away from other cable companies with promises of low guaranteed prices, and this is what we get from you. This is an outrage without warning. You will be loosing a lump sum of customers due to this delima. Outraged in Georgia. We have gone more than two weeks without the shows that entertain and amuse us in our home and this is totally unfair and unjust, if you feel that a rate adjustment to us as paying customers is not the right thing to do something is wrong.
Directv in San Bruno, California - NO BET OR VH1 etc...
About a week ago, my child called me in her room because her TV wasn't getting the nick channel. Come to find out I couldn't watch BET either. What are we going to do? I'm missing "Sunday Best" plus my children are mad at me because I'm the one who made the decision to switch to Direct TV. My wife is talking about going somewhere else to watch TV cause her channel is VH1. Direct TV please help me get my family back! I don't want to go back to cable. I like Direct TV.
Directv in Merrick, New York - Bill Discrepancy
I was billed for an account that wasn't mine. It took over an hour to resolve and I'm sure this is happening to a number of people. I would never get Direct TV. I have heard many complaints about Direct TV. FIOS and Direct TV should make sure they have correct account information and name and address of correct account holder. Everyone should carefully review their bill for errors. They will charge you for services that you do not have and never had. Direct TV should go under since they are in competition and can't compare to other carriers.
Directv in San Francisco, California - Direct TV sucks
It is not bad enough that most of the programming in their repertoire are infomercial channels, for which they get paid by the channels themselves, but now they took some of the most watched channels off the air due to a fight with Viacom. I do believe this is a breach in contract and that we should be able to leave Direct TV without a monetary cancellation fee. All the talk from Direct TV says they are trying to fix the problem, and it should be okay shortly. Tired of Direct TV. Out of the "hundreds" of channels they advertise, only a handful are really watchable. Whole parts of their line-up are "pay-per-view", about 40% are infomercial. DON'T EVER SWITCH TO DIRECT TV. You won't be happy and they charge a fee for you to leave their company.
Directv in Rochester, New Hampshire - Direct tv
I can't even begin to tell you how angry I am with direct TV. For one thing there making us pay 200 dollars to move down a floor in our building. And the fact that they took away all the channels. So pretty much were paying for something that we don't even use anymore because almost every channel we watched was taken! And then we want out of the contract because this is not what we signed up for, not to mention the fact that the women that signed us up did nothing but lie about things that we would receive.... nothing she told us was true. But they would make us pay 500 for that!!!!! Ugh I hate direct TV and would recommend that no one sign up with them unless you like to be screwed over.
Directv in Detroit, Michigan - Paying tooooo much for advertising!!!!!!!!
We are paying far too much for programming only to be forced to endure far tooo many ads and infomercials. Directv can pay their employees very well without enormous bonuses and pass the savings on to their loyal customers. I know the sponsors and advertisers are paying big bucks to have their products shown on TV and those fees should be plenty to offset the charges we pay rather than keep increasing our bills for the privelige of watching the ads run over and over and for so long that we do not want to be forced to watch and pay for. Millions of dollars in bonuses are unneccesary but your customers are. Get back to the fundamentals that made Directv what it is and show your customers some appreciation.
Directv in Houston, Texas - Has allowed many channels that i have already paid for to be cut off
direct tv has let a lot of my channels to be turned off claiming to be fighting to keep my bill the same...a while back it was the same with fx channel which did not actually ever go off...these channels this time have gone off and i'm sure they are not going to deduct it from my bill...i will not accept this and will change carriers if this is not resolved....i have been with direct tv for over 10 years and have paid on average 85 dollars a month with the plan i have and pay per views...i want the award winning service they advertise
Directv in Bowling Green, Ohio - On the phone for over an hour just to get a quote
We wanted to compare prices between Time Warner and Direct TV and they had us on the phone for over an hour. Asked us for our social security number. Are you kidding me. Did manage to get our credit card number and had to go through alot of hoops to cancel an order we are not sure we ordered. OMG, it was painful trying to get off the phone with those people. Can't they understand English. I finally had to lose my temper, which takes alot for me to do. Needless to say, no matter how much Time Warner is costing us, we will remain with them.
