11/26/2013 I was on Yahoo messenger when storm came thru I lost contact with my client on their land problem, when this happen , when I was talking to the Direct-tv rep. they said this problem was solved thru modern upgrading. she lied, it still happens :(

Direct TV is still lying to every about the cost. Instead of saying they cheaper than any other cable companies; They are still liers; they are more costly than cable companies!

Direct TV. Lie's like a dog. When you want to talk to a person from the home office about the billing problem I'm having with them they run and hide like 4 year old ! When my contract is over with I will like a dog they are. Mean time I will tell people they are no good! I have try several time to talk to them by phone and e-mail; and 99& of the time, you would get a call center out of the U.S.A. and it would take several time to get someone in the U.S.A. but they was not very good to; They also a good lier also.

I hate DirecTV!

These idiots have no power to waive an early cancellation fee! I am moving and I do not wish t continue service. I have been with them for SEVEN YEARS AND PAID EVERY BILL ON TIME & I get whacked with a $220 cancellation fee! I am telling everyone I know to boycott them! $20 a month for 11 months is absolutely ridiculous and these corporate *** most likely have not reported my payment history for 7 years but god forbid, I refuse to pay the $220, they will surely send me to collections to ruin my credit! When you upgrade to HD, you have to go into a contract or BUY the equpment! I said to the rep, who is gonna BUY the equipment??

& she said EXACTLY! Duh!

She obviously knows it ridiculous! They have you cornered!

If you have been with them for 7 years should you still owe an early cancellation fee? Did you upgrade service at any time?

this would explain the $220 charge. What a horrible company!!

I had service with direct tv for one year, had service person out around 10 times and still could not get it to work the way it should. That "Home" stuff never did its job and the service would go out for days at a time. channels would be gone with out notice or reason. After one year we cut it all off and went to Dish. Then they started taking more money out of my checking account with out reason. I did not have it set up on atomatic pay, they just wanted more money. They got $328.00 out of my account the first time then $523.00 the next time. It has been war trying to get this crazy thing stopped. do not go with direct tv................they are thrives and lie about it all. Betty

Directv in Durango, Colorado - DIRECT TV CHARGES FOR PURE BS

I have been a TV consumer most of my life. NO MORE. DTV charges well over $100 for expanded basic on a two year contract, and that's after the 90 teaser for the so called "premium channels" which is nothing more than re-runs of movies we've all seen. Their programming consists of the usual garbage which they air no more than 8 minutes at any one segment. They then commence with 5-6 minutes of; auto, insurance, big pharma, *** adds, wireless adds, etc etc ad nauseam. These companies pay huge amounts of money for these, then we pay DTV to watch the adds. The sheer family basic is pure BS to include lots of mexican chanels, *** cartoons, and the home buying channels. Personally, I'm not buying anymore. I despise all of the cable and satellite companies out there for they have created a monopoly and simply fill our homes with useless garbage 24/7. I'm done. What a bunch of *** clown tape worms DTV consists of. *** ME DTV!!!

Directv in Phoenix, Arizona - No ads on GUIDE PAGE between channels

PLEASE "QUIT" cluttering up the channel guide with ads and special messages! The guide is hard enough to read as it is !!! I have a MBA specializing in "HUMAN FACTORS". I really wonder if you (DIRECT TV) have any idea what that is. If you want to imProve customer satisfaction and customer relations you will invest in HUMAN FACTORS INTERACTIONS with your menu pages to realize customers "HATE" a cluttered Guide page. STOP USING THE GUIDE PAGE FOR MESSAGING. Put messaging where it belongs --- in the MESSAGES PAGE and stop cluttering up the GUIDE page. LOYAL CUSTOMER (about to leave)

I had the same issue. How I got rid of them was to disconnect DTV from the internet then hit the red reset button on my genie.

Voila!!!!

No more ugly ads on my channel guide. Apparently they populate via the internet connection.

Directv in Herndon, Virginia - Direct TV Tech Support Wiped Out All 6 Receivers

We had one Direct TV receiver box not working. We called in for a service request, tech support wanted to trouble shoot via the phone. The tech support staff had us unplug and replug into the main control box in our basement. After doing so, the entire system went down and we no longer had any TV. They said "OH, we will need to send out a technician. This will be a 50.00 charge to you and we are 7 days out for the next appointment." I said you just knocked out all of my TV's and I will have to pay 50.00 and wait seven days, how is this fair or right? They said sorry but nothing we can do. Wow! Great customer service! I am suppose to pay for there mess up and wait 7 days with no TV. My monthly bill is 125.00 and I get the NFL ticket & college football in the fall. I pay alot for there service and this is what I get when I need service. On past service calls there technicians have been rude and pissed because they were subcontractors not making enough money from Direct TV. The system is terrible in the rain. The only reason we went with Direct TV was for the football package. I wish another company could provide it because we would switch. Jennifer

Directv in Topeka, Kansas - Direct TV is nothing but ***

I am not happy with Direct Tv at all first of all the service is horrible we were never really able to watch tv the whole time we had them, Second of all the shut us off with out any reasons of doing so. Third they took 154.54 out of my bank account without my permission. I have also never receive a bill or any type of indication that I was pass due or that my account was in collections. The only thing that I have recieve was an empty box to put all there *** in. I wouldnt recommend DIRECT TV to anyone at all. They are a horrible company and shouldn't be aloud to sell their *** to anyone.

Directv in Anderson, Indiana - Direct TV

Direct Tv pulled the bait and switch with me, too. I talked to John on 6/21/12 and set up installation for ChoiceXtra @ $49.99 per year first year, $68.93 second year. Instead, he signed me up for the "Entertainment" package and I am now paying $68.93 for less channels than I got with Comcast!!!!! Am filing a complaint with Indiana Attorney General, BBB and Federal Trade Commission!!! I am also sending a link to this website to Direct TV, just so they can see just how many people they have pissed off! Not that they care!!!

It's only a great price if you weren't "guaranteed" $49.99 for the first year. I was okay with the $69.00 for the 2nd year, but didn't appreciate being ripped off for the first year!
