Directv in Glenwood Springs, Colorado - Unsolicited Mailers

I don't have a TV, and haven't watched television for years. I am sick of getting two mailings at a time, every other week from Direct TV, even after I've called and gone online to stop them. DTV takes it out of the account they have on file for you without your knowledge or permission that was given by you when you signed on with them.That is why they insist on having an account on file. Also it is in their contract that they cannot be sued There is nothing you can do other than to close the account they have for you and perhaps use the arbitration process or stay with them for the duration of your contract.Be careful about getting any upgrades or equipment replacement as this will extend your contract for another 2 yr. They Are Nasty For Sure!

Directv in Huntington, West Virginia - CUSTOMER SERVICE

Direct TV has called me several times this week, they were suppose to send me my "boxes" to return their receivers, and of course now when I tried to call them it would just shut off, then when I did get ahold of them, to see where they were, they couldn't even pull up my account. My uncle, aunt, sister and brother all have canceled with them ! Having no TV is better than dealing with them ! Dish TV is such a better deal, and that is who I am going with, that is who all my family has, and I will let all my friends know how much cheaper it is !

Directv in New York, New York - Stay away from Direct TV

Last year I called Direct TV, spoke w representative / I even agreed to be billed 19$ for this call/ only to be sure that I'm purchasing a BUNDLE. What was my surprise when two different companies-Direct TV and Clear wire started mailing me different bills! Then me and my husband cancelled the services, dispute some of the charges, cancelled our credit cards, paid early cancellation fees to this two companies only to get rid of their services! I can assure you that I will take every action possible to turn as many people away from Direct TV and Clear wire and to avoid these companies at all costs!

Directv in Atascadero, California - Discontinuing service and getting a "credit" instead of a check back

Since I started with DirectTV I have had the worst experiences ever, one after another!!! Between phone calls being dropped when you're trying to either get service or fix a problem I have dealt with countless people who didnt fix the problem or stated a supervisor would and never got a callback. Then have been overbilled and had to deal with them over and over for that too. Then problems arise and its the same..Now I quit them and they send me a "credit" on my bill instead of a check in the amount. Now I have to deal with them once again to receive my money back. Will NEVER use them again!!! PS: To post this message they ask you to agree to the "pissed consumer terms of service" prior to posting which they dont provide...They suck!

This had to be the worst company EVER.... They have over billed every month I've had service. Then I have to call to have my bill fixed. Every time I can count on being hung up on at least twice. Must be compnay policy. Three times this has happened, not a randonm accident. Horrible customer sevice!!! I requested to be removed from auto pay to prevent future over charges, needless to say that didnt happen either. I had to have my bank make the changes to they couldnt pull my monthly overbilling from my account!! Please save yourself Time and Money dont sign up with Direct TV!!!!

I have not signed a contract with Direct TV, I have had it for about 8 yrs. THEY WILL NOT LET ME CANCEL MY ACCOUNT, until the bill is paid in full. I have the same receivers that I had when I purchased it. Have not changed anything on the account, added anything and it has gone up 30 dollars. I am not going to pay 91 dollars for their pour customer service. I am not sure it is legal since I NEVER signed a contract. Their customer service department is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND MUCH MORE ! KY CUSTOMER NO MORE !!!!

Ask them to send you boxes to return their equipment and be sure to get a tracking # to prove they get it. If they have any account numbers on file for you,change the #'s or close account.This will prevent them from accessing your account.This does not sound legal but when is anything DirectTV does legal?

It is far easier to prevent them form accessing your account than it is to try and get your money back after the fact that they have taken it. Good Luck

the problem i have two tvs the main tv and the bedroom tv one reciever, the bedroom tv never works constantly get it working than goes out talk to the company go thru steps works for a while goes out this happens so much i put the company on speed dial The company advertises that you can use one reciever to control two rooms but I think this is not posssible for all houses I been dealing with for over a year still have year on contract the company wants to send a tech out at my expense but since i pay 80 dolars a month for service I think not my contract will end and i will which back to the old service

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - VERY UPSET CUSTOMER-3RD COMPLAINT

I have only had my direct tv service now a couple of weeks and for the first week we couldn't even use our service for several days after we received equipment when it took 8 hours of 3 different techs to set up the service, then we had a bundle package with internet service from AT and T and they tried to charge us a different price after what we were quoted, we then got charged for 6 boxes on our first bill and we only have 4 boxes. The tech said he was going to come back to set up the ON DEMAND box but still haven't seen anyone from that either. Then we called the customer service rep and they said we had signed up for ESPANOL which is a lye because we do not speak spanish. Now we are having all sorts of problems with our internet service AT and T, at first they didn't even send us a modem so it took a whole week to get the modem, we now have wireless setup but we cannot get our son's xbox live going that is also wireless. I am very upset and just checked my account and have already had a payment taken out for $120 and most of the time we haven't even been able to use the service. If you guys do not get this straight, I am going back to time warner where I did not have these issues. I thought this was going to move us in the right direction and it is leading us down a *** path and I am at my wit's end. If you and AT and T do not rectivy this situation, I will be looking into another route. PLEASE CALL ME AT 919-924-1345 ASAP.

I had this bundle also and I don't know which is worse DTV or AT&T..first off you will receive separate bills from each.Please know that if you cancel DTV there is an early cancellation fee of $20 for every month left on your contract plus they will also charge for the equipment. I recommend that you change or close the account # on the account that DTV has on file for you.get a prepaid card for their files.

Directv in Saint Louis, Missouri - False upgrade info, refused to use coupon

when I ordered my direct tv service, I made the appointment, when the tech. arrived I informed him that I received a coupon in the mail the day before for a free dvfr upgrade. I called them while he was still installing my service, they refused to use the coupon telling me it would cost 50.00 to upgrade, then the tech cut the wire for my internet. I had to pay to have that replaced. I called direct back to order the upgrade and was informed it would cost 250.00 for an additional box... just wow..... talk about a scam.

People on here are ridiculous. You get a flyer in the mail for new customers and you expect the tech to fill out your new order on the day he arrives for an appointment that did not even have that order on it?

If it was a new customer offer, which it most likely was and you were already receiving your offer or you were a current subscriber, you cannot get the "free" dvr. Newsflash, you will get new customer offers with any company, and yes when you become a long time customer more offers will apply, but if you don't have good standing with a company, why should they want to really make an effort to keep you? That coupon, sounds completely fabricated, or you are purposely not discloses all the information given. Directv is not ***, neither is any other company that has made such a name for themselves.

You think you can outsmart them but if you don't read the little disclosures and agreements at the bottom of the page, its your *** problem.

This stuff is simple but people make it complicated and try to scam the company. I feel bad for the real loyal customers who don't make a fuss, they don't realize that some people call in and *** every five seconds usually get what they want.
