Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Un-friendly &rude
idirect t.v used to be a friendly company and are now rude!!will be going to u-300 soon.bye-bye.they give us channels and then take them back,but we can now buy what came with the package and don't call and ask why,they send you packing with your tail tucked between your leg.i have a rental on a reciever box and i was told a total of 6 times if i don't keep direct t.v for 1 yr. my credit card will be billed 175.oo$ and they turn around and break the agreement and used my card to bill me monthly.had to wait 45 min.to talk to supervisor to get it worked out.
DirecTV terrible customer relations
I was a loyal customer of DirecTv for 15 years or more. Always paid on time, moved their service with me to new homes twice. last January due to tough business climate I had to cancel my service, I made a mistake and didn't confirm the cancellation so I thought it was done turns out they kept billing me, I just thought that the cancel hadn't caught up to the billing, after 3 months of bills i called and they said I never cancelled, so they billed me those 3 months and would not budge. Even though I had disconnected the Tv's they kept billing me. they just went ahead and just charged a credit card they had on account and still made a negative comment on my credit score. Then today 3 months later I just tried to add Direct TV in one of Century Links bundle plans and DTV said that it is only for new customers and they would surcharge me an additional $99 a month in additon to the bundle, over and above the Century Link charge. So basically 15 years of loyal customer service means nothing to this lousy company, 3 months of billing mistakes which they were paid for keep in mind, they had no loss whatsover, means everything. What a horrible way to treat a long time customer. They told me to come back in two years. Can you believe it? Whenever they lose the Sunday NFL ticket I believe that their customer base will drastically decline as their service and attitude are horrible. I hope they go out of business and someone that actually gives a *** about customer service steps in to replace them.

Direct tv sent me a bill from two years ago. After my bill was paid in full they said i had movie charge on my reciever, so that means they can bill me how many years later and im suppost to remember if i order that movie. How can they even do that they have was to much control over are credit. There has to be a billing period they have to stand by?? I have had Direct tv for years and always had problems with there billing department but this one tops the cake. Customer service is some thing to be desired.

Your customer service advocate advised me this morning by phone that the number of complaints and dissatisfied customers was of no concern because it is a small percentage of the 20 million customers that you now have. Keep going the way you are and the numbers will increase to a point that will cause a wave of dissension that will eventually be the downfall of Direct TV. Every time a customer for whatever reason be it financial or service not being available causes an account to be closed before the 2 year contract date has expired Direct TV charges outlandish fees and then TAKES the money from your customers accounts without notification. I found this out when I saw the transaction posted on my bank account. This has caused irreparable damage to me personally and to my family and business. We will overcome this problem of now having a negative $904.00 balance in our Corporate Checking Account due to Direct TV taking $930.00 without warning. Sadly I don't have the resources to recover and the fees will take it to over $1,300.00 before I can generate the funds to cover this Visa Debit Charge by your company. Please remember this message when in a few years time you are looking at decreasing revenues and find your company is in trouble-remember that every dissatisfied customer will on average tell 100 people or more about the experience and advise these potential customers to avoid your company at all costs. This becomes very exponential and will grow rapidly if your don't find a way to fix this problem. I can assure you that I will take every action possible to turn as many people away from Direct TV and will work diligently to provide them with better options. You might want to look at the Comcast business model as how they treat customers who move and transfer around the country. Their system works and I have NEVER been charged a fee for early termination of service by Comcast as a result I would be using their services if it were available and I intend to make sure that happens in the very near future

Directv in Chicago, Illinois - Direct TV - Scam/False Sign Up Info
Needed cable and didn't want Comcast. Upon getting through Direct TV 888-662-2276 I was greeted by a CONGRATULATIONS: You called during POWER HOUR which entitles to a special offer from Direct TV. To make a long story short and after an hour-and-a-half on the phone transferring me around, putting me hold, the offer went from getting started at $20 to $200. Prior to getting this bad news, I had already started the process by giving them my social security number (this may come back to *** me in the butt so I'll take care of it). I will be contacting the BBB and their corporate offices about this complaint.
Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - Direct TV Lying to Consumers About Fees
I called to get Direct Tv and they had free installation. I told them I would be moving in 6 months and wanted to know if there was a charge to move my service. They told me I could get one free move per year and there would be no charge for the move. Here I am six months later calling to move my services and they tell me that I have to pay $99! They will not reverse the charge. I even called the sales line today to act like I wanted new service and told them I would be moving in the next couple months and they again stated I would not have to pay anthing. When I told them about what was happening they disconnected my call. Direct TV will say anything to get your business.....they will lie.....consumer beware even if it is in writing they have the right to change their fees at anytime.

I have been trying to contact an actual human being in the customer service department all morning. It is now 1:00 in the afternoon and I have yet to speak with someone. I called every number on the website and on my bill! All I want to do is find out what my balance is and make a payment. Now I am going to pay the balance and disconnect my services with Direct TV. This happens everytime I call. It is so frustrating when you have to talk to a computer and it keeps hanging up on you!!!! It

My son was billed for the payment and sent it off you then took it out of my account. If you don't refund I will have a lawyer contact you and let ever one know don't use direct. DirecTv is TERRIBLE! If you are considering going with them, DON'T DO IT. They tried to bill me for HustlerTv and for 3 pay per view movies. When I called about these charges, they said I had ordered them through my remote. I explained that we did not have a phone...
