Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Attempt to make me pay for their mistakes?

Today after a hard days work; I have come home to once again discover that my cable box is not working. I then soon called a customer service representative hoping to get some type of assistance. I was informed with much convincing on my part to their SUPERVISOR , Stephanie that the box simply was not working and that their was no signal. I later discovered that I have to wait for services, when I requested that a Technician come out I was told that I would have to pay the technician to compensate him/her for their time yet in the meanwhile I am paying for services that I am not receiving on the box. The person was cold and discerning and I do not appreciate their lack thereof of understanding and/or compensation. I'm sorry does nothing for me when your bills arrive on time each month!

Directv in Tampa, Florida - The ol' "bait & switch" is alive and well w/ DIRECT T.V.

Let's start off with not having the right equipment on the truck. Not what you ordered, but "what was on the truck.". Next, was the rebate. What rebate? Applied for, never recieved. Next, the "Package Deal". Our "package" was $39.99 ($51.99 w/tax), yet we were always billed $70.00+ (multiple attempts to correct were made, but never followed through by DIRECT T.V.). Then we reduced our movie package, to supposedly to reduce our bill, the got our next monthly bill almost trippeling it.? upon contacting them recntly, their explaination was so corporate B.S., that we are seriously considering going back to cable, as much as that sucks...They all have us by the snargglies.

They have done this to me for a year...they would take too much from my bank account and cause me to overdraft! after hours of phone calls to get things straight it would happen again the next month!

I canceled my auto pay and put a stop payment at my bank and changed my package to the lowest priced package offered then canceled my protection plan as I am not going to keep giving them money for nothing!

I record phone calls with direct tv and make noted of every conversation along with employee id# so they cant say something else next month! I have a file on their misconduct and if it continues I will go to court for breaking our contract!

Why distribute a channel for two weeks and then make it a pay channel.. I'm referring to CLOO - 308 All it has is reruns and old ones at that?????????? Also I believe that if your going to produce Hispanis channels then why be prejudice and not include the French - Italian - Greek - Spanish - ( by the way Hispanics would be more lost in Spain than America ------ and they could care less!!! ) - German - ect---Get My drift?????? We our AMERICA and not anything less!!! I wouldn't expect Greece to speak English but they try to commprehend and not at all put our channels on their TV's... Hummmm get the Picture????

Directv in Duluth, Georgia - THEY WIPED OUT MY COMPLETE DEBIT CARD ACCT

Because the service & technicians sucked so bad, we decided to close the acct. final bill was due march 3rd & instead of waiting til then, they decided to wipe out my acct for every penny in it! funny how that could be the exact amt owed... the service is not even in my name but because i used my debit card to pay the deposit, i guess you figured you could just leave me completely broke by debitting my acct, its bull & i will be discussing this with my dad, bill carter, attorney at law. your practices are very bad, & maybe thats why you have to try so hard to get customers. i will be letting everyone on facebook know how bad you suck. you could have sent me a bill if you were planning on taking my money!!

DirectTV is good about not telling someone before they empty their bank account or credit card.I hope you are able to get your money back check with your bank and ask to dispute the amount some banks will do this since this is not your account DTV has no right to do this.Do tell everyone you know about DTV,the more people you tell will hopefully be that many not to get DTV in the future and word of mouth can be their worst enemy. Wishing you luck..

I always get a laugh when people say "i will be letting everyone on facebook know." Sorry to burst your bubble, but the only people on Facebook you will be letting know is people who look at your page, which is most likely no where near "everyone on Facebook." I bet your Dad, the attorney at law, would advise you to refrain from posting such things online.

Daddy can't help you, YOU signed the agreement. And if you think posting nasty messages on some social website is a correct way to do business, then you are in for a rude awakening.

As well as much laughter directed towards yourself each and every time you tell people how badly YOU messed up on YOUR contract. If you just paid your bills this wouldn't be an issue.

I'm sure you still owe them more if you only had a few dollars in your account. Get ready for bill collectors to start calling for the rest.

DirecTV is trying to rip me off

I cancelled my DirecTV and was told that I had a $16.20 credit due me. I was told a box would be coming for FedEx to return the set up box and remote. I have not yet got the FedEx box and I was sent a bill for $80.96. I am being told that if I don't pay they will charge my credit card they have on file. I have spoke to several folks at DirecTV and none appear to know that a credit or debit is. The time spent is now 2 hours with no results. DirecTV is in error and can't provide me proof of there error or payments, I paid my phone company for a bundled package that included DirecTV. Beware of DirecTV.

If you follow "justsayin", be prepared for a collections agency to come in DirecTVs place immediately. You owe them, you will pay them, even if they have to file in court, they will. And then they will freely draw directly from your checking account.

Call your credit card co and ask if they will deny any charges from DTV.If DTV does place a charge on your card you can dispute this but it may be reapplied after cc's investigation.you may have to change your crdit card # or close the account to prevent DTV from charging to it. when sending back the equipment,be sure to get a tracking # to prove DTV gets the equipment otherwise they will try to charge you for this also. There is no way to deal honestly with DTV.

You owe them the cost of the equipment - the credit due. The equipment can be from $100 to $400.

Have you called them to send you postage so you can send the equipment back? Maybe some lowly cust svc rep forgot.

Signed up online for the Costco rebate offer for new Direct tv service. I was with Dish Network and they had reduced rates, so I went for it. 3 months later... Got told that I am not getting it and did not sign up for it. Please do not switch to direct tv as they do...

Century Link and Direct TV is a bad combination. Couple Century Link (Quest) poor customer service and Direct TV's inability to get its house in order and you have a mess.

We have been over billed twice by Direct TV ($55 each time) and we have yet to get our rebates credited after 4 months. The advertising and sales pitches are great but that is not what your going to receive.

DirecTV Internet Service Sucks

DirecTV have an exclusive deal with out apartment to provide TV and internet. What do we get for that? An abysmal service. Regular complete internet outages for 24 hours at a time. When there is service there is barely enough bandwidth to stream Netflix. You can forget about streaming HD or playing games online. The worst thing is that there is no one to complain to. The apartment management don't care because they get their kickbacks from DirecTV. DirecTV don't care because you are not their customer. Calls to the helpdesk are a waste of time. No one cares, they just say whatever it takes to get you off the line. Awful, if you have any choice over your provider avoid DirecTV like they are infected with the bubonic plague.

I'd get a petition signed by all the other members of the apartment complex and turn this in to management of the apartments demanding another tv service. also you might contact your local "troubleshooter" if enough people are involved something will be done.You Do Have Right Too.

Directv in Carson, California - DO NOT BUY SATELLITE DIRECT - Complete SCAM

This so called amazing internet streaming collection of tv channels for cheap or a one time price is total BULL ***. Once you download the product on your computer the program will not load any of the 1000's of conspicuously identified channels. I downloaded the program so I could watch the Academy Awards online since I don't have cable. NOTHING ABOUT THIS SERVICE WORKS. I was not able to see any of the award show and no body should ever try to buy this product, no matter how good it seems. It is a piece of *** company that needs it's balls chopped off. And don't think that you can get a refund because you can't. They will give you the run around even if you go through "clickbank", which is who satellite direct spawns from.

If you do not send their equipment back,DTV will charge a HUGE sum on the credit card or bank account they have on file for you.DTV often tries to charge even though the customer sent their equipment back so to protect your self always get a tracking # when returning anything to to DTV.
