When I purchased equipment at Best Buy I was never told that I would have to return it or be hit with a ridiculous fee. Directv is a rip off. Maybe when setting up new equipment people should be told that they will be required to return it when you cancel service.I never would have purchased the equipment in the first place if I knew I was just making a down payment on equipment that should be furnished for free. you can take these receivers i will be returning and shove them up your ***. DIRECTV SUCKS IN ALL CATAGORIES!! I am very happty I switched to AT&T Uverse
Directv in Chambers, Arizona - Free premium channel scam
Part of the sign up package was "free" premium channel service for three months. At the end of the free period they started billing me for these free services which I did not want. I called and cancelled the premium channel service but could not get the charges reversed. The agent informed me that I had been informed when I signed up. I guess it was buried in the agreement somewhere. My advice--don't accept the free service unless you want it. Tell them "NO" from the beginning. They are ruthless and "customer service" is not really in their vocabulary.

My husband in AND OUT OF THE hospital 2 weeks VERY ILL ALL HE wants WHEN HE GETS HOME IS cable I set it up. Directtv calls he tells them to please talk to me as he is ill. Mine you I set everything up and some snot nose imbecile named David sends my account to the fraud department so nobody can help me but him. SPOUSE UNABLE TO ANSWER HIS QUESTIONS DAVID STRESS ME OUT MORE. I am traumatized as it is with my husband recovery and the last THING I need is to be stressed out about cable. Sooo I said just cancel the entire order to include internet and some other *** tells me I cannot cancel service that I do not even have YET. Somebody tell me how this is suppose to be the "best experience". Life is hard enough. It is cable people. VP RIGHT JUST LIKE ALWAYS YOU DO NOT GIVE A RIP AND NOTHING IS GOING TO GET DONE OR CHANGE. Comcast is looking better even if it cost more. YOU CAN GO YOU KNOW WHERE IS THAT DIRECT ENOUGH FOR YOU.
I'm writing u because u all say i still have to pay on a bill that Iv already payed off. and there for I'm not paying it again so please stop sending me bills. the next time i get a bill from u all I'm calling the better business borrow. Changing the index screen to black. It's had to read from a distance. You did not take into consideration of those with poor sight. Blue was just fine. Change some times is not the best interest to the customer. If it is not broke don't try and fix it. You know the Japanees did not change the cars or products they took what we had and improved it many times over. The chineese are using the price feature to attract business. and they are goog a good job. Why hasn't Direct TV done the same to improve.

Direct tv made a deal with us setting up a certain monthly price for certain services. They promised not to change the price no matter what. Multiple customer service reps. did this. But... every month the bill was higher by $15. Each month increased. Now they are giving lates fees and trying to suspend service because we will not pay the wrongly owed amount. They are cheats and liars and should be put out of business. To get out of the agreement that we are trying to uphold, we will have to pay all the fees and the fee to discontinue the contract, totalling around $400. Terrible!
