Directv in Phoenix, Arizona - Century link employees lie to customers in az.

Century link and Direct tv employ a process of billing, whch is misleading to consumers....each entity played me like a tennis ball........Their management refused to give an agreed upon credit dating back to November '30th '011......As of this writing, I plan to discontinue my service with both companies.....I've been a customer of qwest-century link for 23 yrs.......The employees I spoke with today refused to identify who they are by name, agreeing only to use initials.........My current intent is to file complaints with the 'Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Az. Corp. Commission for the purpose of assisting the Senior Citizens of Az. to avoid additional scavenging by out of state non Az. public companies.......Anyone who cares to legally rid Arizona of corrupt practices, by out of state co's kindly add to their experiences with either of these communication cos. who have invaded our air space, and our life style...Thank You for taking the initiative, and join in with your experiences....

Need to hire people with customer service acknowledgment, call today to get information on service was given 3 different quotes and was told I was looking at the add on the internent wrong, that some place after clicking on other 4 pages i will see that additional fees applied, but not on the add I was reading, last 2 days $29.99 for 150, the person that answer the phone was in a rush to get all my information including my SS# to see what kind do deal she was able to give to me.? This was a surprise for me she insisted so I gave up and gave her my Ss# there wa no deal, my question is what diference will it make you will getthe monthly payment or you will disconnect the service, to me this is descrimination, she tranfer me to her supervisor an *** that i believe was a coworker unrespectul and no customer service talent. DIRECT TV you do not need my business. And I do not need your service. All the person on the phone wanted was just another *** to to sign up on a false add.

Directv in Madison, Wisconsin - Direct charged my ex spouse credit card and want reverse or credit his card back.

Direct tv charged my ex spouses credit card.....I had tried to remove it from their billing site and couldnt, so I had called not once but 4 times to have it removed. They still would not and in returned charged his card and still have given him the credit back after 10 days and several more calls from us. It looks like we will be contacting the police for theft of his card and faudentant charges. They are no help at all. Even after contacting them they say it takes 10 days but still nothing after 15 and all they can say is we have sent it to the claims dept. WHat BULL

Directv in Ennis, Texas - They didn't provide services promised. And want there money

I contacted Direct TV about their advertised deal for a bundled package- It included satellite TV and high speed Internet. It was cheaper than the cable service I had. I was told they would handle the calling and setting the appt. with Quest for high speed Internet. I then asked that the dish be placed on a pole in the yard. The appointment was made for installation and they came out put the dish on my roof and ran the cable in through the back of the house. It was draped! (hanging through the basement in the the living area.) I then asked about Internet , the installer said he knew nothing about that. So, I called Direct TV . They admitted that under the bundled package they were to set up the appointment with them too. They then told me to call myself, now. OK . I did and was then told they didn't have high speed Internet in our area and it wouldn't support the activities the family had before . There was the deal breaker . I was told by Direct TV rep over the phone-" Too bad, we have you under contract" and hung up. My wife called and said we were going to have to pay another company for high speed Internet and thought that this whole deal should be canceled because the promise of high speed Internet wasn't fulfilled. That rep got short with her too, and she then said, "Turn it off, we don't want it". They turned it off after 11 days and then started billing us for 435.00 and change. I have written Direct TV and explained over and over again about this situation, and now were at collection . They said they would settle for $235.00. I believe their part of the bundled package wasn't delivered and nulls their contract.

I had to call Direct T.V.'s so called bundeling service center 5 times, this is no lie, each time I got different information that contradicted the last phone call. One guy told me that he could only offer me the highest phone service available because AT&T would only allow them to offer that package, another represenative told me that they could offer any package but that I would have to pay extra charges due to the package being a cheaper package. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor who stated that both representatives were wrong and even said "I don't know who told you that, but that is not true", in reality I was going to have to pay a higher fee then I was told and would not get the so called discount until 3 months after services started. I told the supervisor I wanted to talk with his supervisor and he tole me that there was no one above him in his department. I then told him to cancel the entire order and he stated that he could not do so because it was in AT&T's hands now. I will never bother to deal with this company ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DTV can cancel their order and you need just call AT&T to cancel theirs.This should take care of it.Hopefully you went with someone else because if you are having problems now what do you think the future holds with DTV?

a month ago my husband and I signed up for basic tv because that is what we have - we are in our 60's. For Christmas our children bought us a flat screen HDTV - we need hd hook up - direct tv wants an additional $280 to the $178 we already payed last month, or $480 to cancel our contract! They said we should have signed up for it a month ago - WE DIDN"T HAVE HD THEN!!! OMG - money making company - DO NOT GO WITH DIRECT TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son spent an hour on the phone going from supervisor to supervisor with all saying we should have signed up for it when we ordered it. OMG - how were we suppose to know we were getting a HDTV from our children for Christmas?

I agree that sounds very expensive just to hook up a HD tv to a DVR box. Ask if DTV will send you a DVR box and if so get an HDMI cable($7-20) depending on the length you need at Walmart.and hook it up yourself. go to ehow and type in "how to hook up an HD t.v" it is fairly simple to do.

That's the normal upgrade price. You are trying to upgrade to extra programming.

You do NOT NEED the hd hookup, you WANT the hd hookup. As I guarantee that your new tv works just fine with the regular non-hd programming.

Stop trying to get everything for free.

Direct TV has provided us shoddy service from day one of our 2 year contract. The signal goes out in the rain, it goes out when it's sunny, it goes out when it's raining in another county and a perfect sunny day here. They can never get a tech out to see you until about 3 days after you call and they don't refund any of the missed service days. After a year of dealing with unreliable service, we decided to get out and just pay the $260 fee to cancel the contract. BUYER BEWARE! After a year of terrible service, they still take all your money even though they can't seem to hold up to their end of the bargain: providing quality service. We feel violated!

We had to pay an early cancellation fee because their service didn't work. If their service worked (i.e.

it was always going out for no reason even in good weather), we wouldn't have had to get out. When you spend a year fighting with them about poor service and the problem never gets fixed, what other choice do you have than to get out? Yes, we agreed to pay the cancellation fee but they also agreed to provide us reliable satellite service. When you're paying $80 a month and you have periods of time (days) with no service, there is a problem.

A manager even flaunted it in our face that there was nothing we could do but pay a cancellation fee. We were to either suck it up or get out.

I'm sorry I don't see what the problem is.You agreed to pay them the early cancellation fee of $260. Did they take more than the $260? your complaint is not clear.

you can share, manage and record from all rooms with just 1 DVR. That's right, each other HD reciever, up to 7 located on your system has the ability to record, manage/view recordings. Only the DVR can pause and rewind live TV. Only the DVR can browse and search PPV and On Demand services. And only all other recievers can view PPV or On Demand once it has been downloaded into the DVR's play list. I feel for you, on the lack of service you are getting. I have experience in this field maybe I can help? Kirt

you can also plug in via CAT5 to the DVR for internet access, although it disable your multi room viewing while in use.

When there is a problem with their equipment you get one free service call. Then you pay or purchase a service plan. If their equipment is faulty it should be fixed free. Ill be changing services. It takes forever to contact them, then a recording tries to fix your problem. If it does not understand your response it sends you to an area that it thinks you ask for. Very poor service, i want to talk to a human. By the time i get to service tech my phone battery is dead. And i dont have any trees in my yard that might block the signal, was asked to go outside and look to see. DAH

Directv in Breese, Illinois - DTV TRYING TO BILL ME FOR SERVICE I DON'T HAVE

DTV billed my bank account first of all ,and i don't have any of there services and haven't in over 3 yrs. Now they are sending me bills and threatening to turn service off witch i do not have becuase i have New Wave and would'nt give up there service due to the knowledge and the respectfullness of the people that work there. unlike DTV the people have no knowledge of what they are doind and they always pass you too another department ,I think the problem is ,they don't know what one hand is doing while the other hand is lying to the customer. If this really gets to the vice president of DTV please do something about the people you have working for you and send them to school or some kind of training to do there jobs and comunicate with the other branch's you all have or try down sizing so your customers don't have to spay for stupidity,especially the customers like myself that are getting charged for services they do not have thak you .

you might try calling your bank and tell them you want to dispute the charges from DTV.DTV has your bank account# from somewhere and you should make a point to find out where they got your # and get this taken care of before they debit your account again.
