Directv in New Franklin, Missouri - Misleading advertising

When I called about their ad ( misleading one) on the internet- they were so helpful ( and deceiving) until I actually signed up. Then I got a surprise! There is no on to help me or answer my questions. They kept saying I misunderstood. The rep was difficult to understand because of her accent who is telling me this! It has been only a week but I think I will return to TIME WARNER. I can truly say that DIRECT TV should be DECEIVE TV. DO NOT LET THEIR FALSE ADVERTISING FOOL YOU! I am very disappointment that they can get away with this. Oh, and their staff is trained to lie!.

Directv in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Direct Tv

back in end of october I called direct tv , was given a price of 89.00 for the bundle tv internet & phone which is through verizon also.the price was after rebates and discounts ..I have received 3 large bills from verizon , when I talked to verizon they stated they are unauthorized to discuss billing to call direct tv, when I called direct tv they state they don't have all the information on my intial order and they cannot see verizon charges???so now I have 2 companies and no one seems to know what is going on. Can anyone help with this problem..It seems I have been screwed

Twice, I say Twice in the last 2 weeks, DirectTv has 'hacked' my bank account....I will NEVER use them again, and to think, I praised them this summer....Wo, Be Me......I will NEVER ever, refer them again...and, they will fall, as all small time hackers do......Wo, be to You...wow, got 50 more words to desribe the abusive and un-American way DirectTv has bestowed upon a consumor of America....no words to descibe how I feel at this totally, humiliating, debacle they have put me in..no choice, but to eliminate my account and start over .

Directv in Brighton, Massachusetts - Verizon/Direct TV Bundle ..Stay Away

I subscribed to a bundle from Verizon/Direct TV & was promised a $99.99 rate for two [2] years. This was purchased through BJ's Wholsale Club.I made three [3] trips to BJ's before signing up. All was good for two months then the increases started to come. BJ's ,Verizon/Direct TV are scam artist...stay away from these companies..they will pick your pocket. I want all to be aware that when you cancel Direct TV they leave the equipment on your roof.When I asked them to remove it they refused. It is now in the hand of our local building inspector who will be requesting a town ordinance be enacted.

Directv in Tucson, Arizona - Economy set back

Approximately 7 months ago, I asked Direct T.V. to cancel my account due to some misfortunate issues in my life as well as the Economy being in a down fall. Direct advised me that the best they could was to place my account in suspension for 6 months, and after 6 months if my situation was still in the red then we could either reinstate or cancel with a penalty for early cancellation. Things have progressively got worse with my job, my marriage, and economy. Can you please canel my account with out penalty? Thank you very much. Joe Ahumada

they tell you something on the phone when they talk to you but none of it is true. first the price is not true you will not find that out until you get the bill. then they lie to you about the whole house DVR it only covers two rooms then when you call to complain they tell you it will cost you $420.00 to get out of there lies. and last but not least you loose your pitcher almost every time it rains I WOULD NOT RECOMMED THEM TO ANYONE . AND THERE COSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. do not wast your money

Directv in Birmingham, Alabama - Inexcusable action by Direct TV installation technician

My husband was laid off for four months last summer. When he was laid off, we had our satellite disconnected to save money. We have not had it reconnected yet because we are trying to get ahead with our finances. My mother in law bought us satellite for Christmas, and ordered it, giving her number as contact number and having the bill sent to her. I was informed that a technician was coming to install it yesterday. The man arrived at about 10:30 am, and was there for about an hour getting it installed and the bugs worked out. He was very nice and polite and I had offered him a Sprite, we talked about my pets, and I went about my own business while he was there. I am a 47 year old housewife, mother of four and grandmother of one. While he was there I cooked chicken for the dumplings for supper, washed and put away dishes, folded and put away laundry, scrubbed the front bathroom. Minded my own business and went about my daily routine. I didn't see any problem. It was working fine when he left and he showed me how to use the remote. I found out this morning that he had called my mother in law's house last night, and he spoke with my brother in law who lives with her and takes care of her, and told him that I was "smoking *** in the bathroom". What??? I've never seen *** I don't think I know anyone who uses *** and if I were to smoke *** I seriously doubt I would use an illegal drug in plain view of a service person! He informed my brother in law also that he was notifying the police. This is inexcusable! I have no idea where he got the idea from that I was smoking *** in the bathroom or anywhere. The only time I went to the bathroom while he was here was to use it, and also to scrub the front bathroom. Does smoking *** involve cleaning spray, Comet, a sponge and a toilet brush? If so, then I can see where he got the idea. I will be complaining to them today and hope this man at least receives some sort of discilinary action. This is completely beyond the pale, as I doubt anyone in my household has ever been exposed to anyone using ***

CHUCK BURGESS SOLD A CONTRACT TO MY WIFE SAYING THAT DIRECT TV AND INTERNET COST $88.00 A MONTH. AND THE INSTALLER SAID OUR INTERNET WOULD TAKE ONLY 1 TO 2 WEEKS TO SET UP. SO IAM STILL WITH COX WAITING FOR MY INTERNET WITH DIRECT TV.? THEN I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT THIS IS A LIE! SO I SPENT OVER 2 HOURS ON THE PHONE OFF AND ON TRYING TO GET SOME KIND OF A ANSWER AND FINALLY THE MANAGE I WAS ON HOLD FOR HUNG UP ON ME. I NOW SEE SOME OF THE SAME SERVICE HERE I HAVE HAD WITH COX OVER THE LAST 12 YEARS!

Directv in Boston, Massachusetts - DIRECT TV - NEVER AGAIN

After having Direct TV for 6 years, I sold my house and was ready to move. All other suppliers canceled smoothly (house insurance, electric, etc.), but when I contacted Direct TV for what I expected to be an easy 5 minute call to say I'm terminating my services, come get your satellite and receivers, they had me on the line forEVER (over an hour). Kept trying to "pitch" me more sales. I clearly indicated I needed nothing more. The woman simply would not let it go and kept pitching until she got me so upset I actually got ill and demanded a supervisor, which she would not do. I finally had to hang up and call back to request a supervisor. Another 20 minute wait to talk to one; then on hold again. All together. it took 2 hours of my time to simply said, "I no longer need Direct TV services". I will NEVER again use Direct TV EVER. I intend to report this matter as I feel it was completely abusive.

I advise ya'll. Don't ever get DirecTV in your life.

You'll regret it and kick your self for doing so. First, they charge u for HD. Second, only 2 year contract. Third, if it's raining real hard.

Don't bother turning on your tv or expect shows to record proper. Fourth, their customer service associates are rude and half the time can't ever help you with your problem. I could go on and on and on.

But, you get the picture. DON'T TANGLE YOURSELF IN THEIR WEB OF LIES AND BAD SERVICE
