Directv in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Screw Direct TV

Directv tells you that you are committed for one year but when you sign the install contract, it commits you to 2 years: do not sign that install contract. Also their customer service are rude. Direct TV is supposed to be one of the most hated companies in the USA. Michael White, Directv CEO, is the third higest paid CEO in the United States, at 33 million dollars paid from the profits off you, the customer. I recently had to get Direct TV to replace the main reciever, so for my inconvenience they told me that they would give my HBO free for three months, which I thought was pretty nice of them, until I received the monthly bill and seen I was being charged for it. After spending approximatley one hour on the phone with a representative, the issue was resolved.

My normal bill was 91.00 until Fedruary then it jumped to 100.00 for no reason. Why do they have the right to raise your bill whenever they want to?

DirecTV is a scam. They make promises then they renege on them.

I signed for a $54.95 package and now, after only 6 months they have my bill up to $179. I want out of this horrible contract.

They are manipulaters. :( :?

Held captive by DirecTV

I wish I had been smart and read the reviews before I signed up with DirecTV. I, too, was quoted a lower price, plus free Showtime for a year AND the upfront deposit for the equipment would be deducted from my bill in $5 increments. In reality Showtime was only free for 3 months. The price I paid for the equipment is out of my pocket into their pocket and never to be seen again. I was also convinced to get the whole house service. This is horrible and when I called to get another DVR to replace the whole house, I was told it would cost $200, plus pay for the installation of the DVR. This is equipment that I pay a monthly lease on, but I still have to pay for it? Now I am locked into a two year contract and at their mercy. Once I am out of the contract, I will NEVER go back to them. I hope this helps those who are considering DirecTV. Under no circumstances, do not believe a word the salesperson tells you!

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Refusal to give me the closest channels

1)Feb. 2011 Saw an offer, ordered Direct TV & received Orlando, FL stations upon request -- great! 2)Apr. 2011 transfer to MI -- all went well. (Bill To address=White Lake, MI 48383) 3)Nov. 2011 return to Haines City, FL 33844 (same address as Feb.) and Direct TV refuses to give me the Orlando, FL channels. We live 22 miles from Orlando, FL and 55 miles from Tampa, FL. Tampa is on the west coast of FL creating different weather, traffic, news, etc. than Central FL. Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - My Direct TV Loses reception too frequently

We recently moved to Fairhope AL and switched from cable to Direct TV. In perfect weather, for no obvious reason, we lose TV reception and it takes a very long time to come back up. This happens way too frequently, much more often than with the cable we had before. It is also very annoying when the screen message says "only a few seconds more" and it is really five plus minutes more before reception is restored. You can miss a lot of a football game, political debate or movie in the amount of time it takes to restore reception.

debit my account with out my permission. caused me to be overdraft at my bank. They credit my account for the equipment. then turn around. and charged my account for the return equipment. and refused to return my money to my account. said that I had to wait 5 to 7 business days. But you took it out with a few click of the computer. I should have gotton my money credited back the same day. I feel if you all need to give me money for my harrssment and stress to my health. And I am thinking A lawyer.

It's worth a try!never let them get the upper hand and take advantage of you this is how DTV has gotten so big they figure most people will just just give up and and most do and pay up.If you feel you have a case.. Go For It!!

DIRECTV ,I HAVE CALLED AND COMPAINED SINCE FEB OF THIS YEAR AND JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THEM JUST A FEW MINS AGO COMPLAINING THEY ARE OVER CHARGING ME FOR NFL TICKET THING I DONT WATCH THEY CLAIM THEY TOOK IT OFF FOR A FEW MONTHS AND ITS BACK ON MY BILL SO CALL THEM AGAIN THEY PROMISE TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH A DISCOUNT AND THEY ARE BLOWING UP MY PHONE FOR PAYMENT THEY JUST TOTALLY SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE COME PICK UP YOUR *** FROM MY HOUSE AND I WILL GO ELSE WHERE TOTALLY DISHONEST AND UNWORTHY LOSERS!!!!!!

I PAID MY DAUGHTERS DIRECT T.V. BILL ONE TIME AND THEN SHE GOT BEHIND AGAIN AND THEY TOOK $600.00 OUT OF MY DEBIT ACCOUNT TO COVER HER CHARGES. THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY PERMISSION NOR MY DAUGHTERS AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. THEY JUST SAVED MY DEBIT CARD INFO AND STOLD THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. THEY HAVE REFUNDED $288. 00 OF IT BUT WON'T REFUND THE REST. I HAD TO GET A NEW CARD AND WAIT FOR 10 DAYS TO GET IT. THEY PUT A BLOCK ON MY ACCOUNT WHEN I REPORTED IT TO THE BANK SO I STILL CAN'T USE MY CARD FOR AWHILE YET. THEY TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION FOR A BILL I DIDN'T OWE SINCE I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. This is a common practice for DirectTV to debit someone's account that has paid for someone else's bill.You were wise to put a block and change your account.Ask someone at your bank for advice on what to do they may be able to help you and you could contact an attorney for advice.You can also file complaints with the BBB,FTC&Attorney General in your state(online) but there is no guarantee they will get back with you,they get so many complaints against DTV they don't bother with them.I wish you luck and hope you get your money refunded.

Directv in Albemarle, North Carolina - Get Quoted One Price - Charged Another!

When I became a Directv customer, I was quoted a monthly price of a little over $30.00. Now when I get my bill it is over $50.00. Directv is not honest when it come to their charges. If they quote you one price, then that's the price they should charge. I do not trust directv at all. I have sent two email messages to Directv and received two replies that really didn't answer my question. All I got was excuses as to why the bill was $50.00. Seems they can come up with excuses but do not make any attempt to resolve the issue.

Did you take a look at the work order and confirmation of contract that you signed before the installation tech left your house? Satellite providers pretty much outline the same info; you can get quoted 1 price and receive something completely different yet the hold no responsibility to make amends with you.

The best part is the fact that they outsource all of their agents which from the outside looking in appears to be a way to wiggle out of liabilities made over false promises. Your bill may be $50+ now but rest assured that any of your "free" premiums will skyrocket after the initial 90 days of service and then during months 13-24 they can actually raise the cost of your service to whatever they want. You see this is all outlined in the terms and conditions of their contract.

Why do you think the document is so insatiably long if they weren't trying to scam people? I would also advise for you or anyone else to take a look at the Consumer Affairs website or their BBB rating..

Directv took my money out my bank acct. promise to give it back less fees

Ive talk to 4 people at directv that has promised me that they have chrge my credit card back for the amount owed but it keep showing up as credit on my acct and they keep nibbling at it for new fees. they last lie was i have a bundled acct and they dont refund bundle accts, of course I dont have a bundle acct.so now it takes 30 days for a refund so within that 30 days my acct come due again so they can take some more.what can I do can they do this?justin 449213

call your bank and tell them to refuse any further charges from dtv and debit or eft transfers your bank or credit card company is the answer then dtv will call you if they want money stop payment

If there is a charge listed on your credit card from DTV that DTV will not return to your credit card.You may want to to call your credit card and tell them you wish to dispute the charges and the money will be returned to your credit card pending credit cards investigation but be aware the charges may be returned to your card depending on your credit cards decision. DIRECT TV INTERUPT EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING ,NOT RECORDING PROGRAMS OR ADDIND ALL CHANNELS. THEY CHANGE THE SETTING ON CABLE TO SOMETHING DARK, AND SMALL.ITS REALLY HARD TO SEE ON GUIDE.YOU ASK ME, NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD SETTING. TALKING ABOUT DOWNSIZING....we pay all this money for cable to get cut down,along with straining our eyes just to see whats behind the guide. when it was light enough the first time.I really think this was a waste of time,and money.My opion is that you guys need to satisfy the customer and not the staff.It need to be change back to what it is was before .No one was complaining about the setting I dont think.
