Directv in Livingston, New Jersey - Misleading advertisement Bad info

I ordered whole home DVR with the advertisement to be able to watch recorded programs in all rooms. Well, not the non-hd receiver . I found out the hard way as it was not informed initially. When i call to complain DirectTV said I would have to pay $160 for the HD receiver if I want to upgrade. Had I knew about the unavailable function I would have ordered the hd receiver which was about $70 then. That was a scam advertisement. I want to bring them to court but do not have time for court days. Hope someone has time and sue them.

my complaint is with the very expensive, and unbelievable fees, that direct tv charges its customers! I was simply wanting an equipment upgrade,after 6 months of service, with this company and a monthly fee, of a minimum of 100.00 dollars a month! The upgrade was as simple as switching my bedroom reciever,for one with hd capabilities,since im getting an hd tv for my bedroom,for christmas! The fee for this equipment upgrade, through direct tv, is 150.00 dollars!!!!! Iam outraged!!!!!!!!! This is unbelievable!!! Needless to say i am shopping for better service, with reasonable prices!!!!!!!!!!

Directv in Naples, Florida - DirectTV shady practices.

The DirectTV tech supervisor came to inspect DirecTV service and removed Comcast equipment without my permission and no Work Order was provided or work approval signed by June Conner, the home owner. We , Gary Conner (the subscriber 239-784-9666) and June Conner (the Home owner 239-784-1020) Consider this a criminal act and will seek legal council if restitution is not made in a timely fashion. Please consider removal of all DirecTV equipment to 192 Elmwood Lane , Naples Florida 34112. The former owner of my home had service with Comcast. I did not opt to use Comcast due to the fact that I had a contract with DirectTV .

Directv in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Faulty equipment-No customer service avail

I was having trouble tuning my receiver. Intermittantly it would lock up, not change channels, go to wrong channels. Couldn't even turn it off. I called them and they sent a new receiver. Now I am unable to get customer support to set it up. They say they are upgrading and unable to help. Considering what I pay them to not have had service or at least a system that functions properly is frustrating. I am considering going with the other guys! Direct TV has let me down. Charged me a fortune and gives no tech support when needed.

By accepting a new receier,you may have extended your contract for 2 more years! If you cancel before your contract is up there are early cancellation fees $20 per month for every month left on your contract.

Directv in Aubrey, Texas - Misrepresented the product

I've been with Direct TV for 11 years. I currently have service to three TV's in my home and called on 12/19 to add an add two receivers. The agent Mike promised me great savings with "no contract" After discussing with my husband I called back to seal the deal. This time I got another agent . Marsha noted a few discrepancies in the offer that was given, but agreed to honor them. One minor detail that was left off from the first agent was "by the way you need to agree to a 24 month contract. I offered to agree to the deal, providing the Direct TV, lock me into a 12 month, but Direct complemented me on my tenure, and good standing with the company, but said unfortunately they could only send me the receivers if I agreed to a 24 month contract.

Directv in Morrisville, Pennsylvania - Don't call me a Liar Direct TV!

We have had Direct tv for over 5 years and as of the last few years have not been able to successfully watch a PPV movie without going through a frustrating circus of phone calls and lengthy explanations. We don't have a land line phone so we have to order our PPV movies online. The last few movies we've ordered online and by text have been blocked by a "call us to order" screen in front of the count down and ultimately the movie if not addressed. This month's bill is presenting us with two $5 fees for calling in on our last movie. I called to have my fees waived for having to call to watch, not even order, a movie. The rep on the phone told me we'd agreed to the fees when we called and they were not going to be waived. I explained the situation and he spoke over me and told me to order another way. Again...I didn't ever "ORDER" over the phone, we were calling to watch the movie we'd ordered online. He continued to talk over me and I asked him to look through our records to see that we've had to call each time to watch the movie we'd previously ordered and the fee's have never been applied. He instructed me that he would waive the fee but would place a note on my account that no fees were to be credited in the future on my account. He basically called me a liar and that he would make it difficult for me to do business with any other rep there in the future. Huh. Customer service I think not! No "thank you for your business" or "I'm sorry for your needing to call today". Nope. Just called a liar. I told him I didn't appreciate being called a liar and that I'd likely not order another movie through Direct TV based on my conversation with him today. I also told him that when I'm given the opportunity to switch my TV provider, I'm going to take it because I was so insulted by his not listening and lack of empathy for the situation. I mean it. Most insulted Direct TV customer. KPJO

I WAS QUOTED $37.00 PLUS TAX FOR THE PACKAGE I WANTED. THE BILL CAME $57.89. I GOT THE QUOTE FROM A CONTRACTOR WORKING A SHOW AT BELMAR SHOPING MALL IN LAKEWOOD COLORADO. I WAS TOLD THAT THE QUOTE DID NOT CONTAIN ALL OF THE ADD ONS. WHAT IS A QUOTE FOR? CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS THEY TOLD ME TOO BAD THAT I GOT A WRONG QUOTE BUT THEY WERE WILL ING TO TAKE BACK FEATURES THAT WOULD BRING THE BILL DOWN TO $37.00. WHAT A DEAL. I WOULD LIKE THE SERVICE THAT RANKS THEM HIGH ON CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GIVE ME A CALL. I CHANGED FROM XFINITY TO DIRECT TV SO SAVE MONEY NOW I PAY MORE.

Do not trust a word they say! They lie, lie,lie....they will make you any promise to make a sale.

Expect your bill to be at least $50. higher than quoted! expect rude treatment when you call in for an answer, I got a loud buzzer in my ear, I got called a liar and they follow up by trying to make me feel *** and wrong. The next call, they give you someone that does not speak English and called me a liar and told me to prove that they ever made such an offer.

I am very frustrated and once I set up a way to record the conversation everything changed.

Once they were being recorded, the treatment changed and I got things fixed as promised. Well, at least they say so...I will keep you updated after my next bill to see if what they say actually reflects on the bill.

3 years ago had Direct tv installed month later we wanted HD called them and home tech. Said I had old wiring how could I just had it wired a month ago he said it would cost over hundred dollars called company they said would have to stand by their tech. in a year my bill went from $89.00 to $210.00 a month no extra services . I have canceled service they said I had 21 days to return the boxes and remotes or pay fine it has been 18 days have not heard from them. I called and when service agent came on phone I told her I was recording also. And if I didn't get return boxes as promised by the 21 day I was not paying any fine. When I called about their ad ( misleading one) on the internet- they were so helpful ( and deceiving) until I actually signed up. Then I got a surprise! There is no on to help me or answer my questions. They kept saying I misunderstood. The rep was difficult to understand because of her accent who is telling me this! It has been only a week but I think I will return to TIME WARNER. I can truly say that DIRECT TV should be DECEIVE TV. DO NOT LET THEIR FALSE ADVERTISING FOOL YOU! I am very disappointment that they can get away with this. Oh, and their staff is trained to lie!.

back in end of october I called direct tv , was given a price of 89.00 for the bundle tv internet & phone which is through verizon also.the price was after rebates and discounts ..I have received 3 large bills from verizon , when I talked to verizon they stated they are unauthorized to discuss billing to call direct tv, when I called direct tv they state they don't have all the information on my intial order and they cannot see verizon charges???so now I have 2 companies and no one seems to know what is going on. Can anyone help with this problem..It seems I have been screwed
