You fail. Go back to school and learn proper English.

Then we can understand you.

If you talk anything like you type, I'm sure the company couldn't help you at all - THEY DIDN"T UNDERSTAND YOU. dummy

We have had Direct for many years, never paid by credit card. In October, Direct TV decided to hit my credit card for more than the correct amount without authorization. Spent almost two hours on the phone being told that since they had the card number it didn't...

Directv in Norfolk, Virginia - False claims to extend contract

On November 6 (or so) 2011, I tried to cancell DirectTV and was convinced by a female phone agent to suspend account which now they claim is an extention of contract which I was never told when I first called to cancel service. She said it is an option to decide later if I wanted to cancel or not.Today, November 22, 2011, I spent a lot of time trying to cancel this service on the phone with the automated "person" and the male phone agent. Very frustrating and annoying. There was refusal to listen to me the first time to send me what I needed to return equipment. The request was made 4 or 5 times. I had to demand to speak to a supervisor or manager before any real action was taken in regards to my request for what I needed to return equipment. I felt threatened by the agent saying the credit card on the account would be "debited" which I felt were services not received or requested. This company uses trickster antics to prey on poor people. They are dishonest and nasty nice. I would never recommend DirectTV and I hope they go out of business because of their practices.

justagirl and larrythedirectvguy must work for DTV. Not surprise by the personal attacking comments.

My contract with this company had expired a year ago. The service was acquired with another company in a bundled service.

I wanted nothing from this company just wanted to cancel service which should have been respected. I consider the name calling personal attacks and they should have been deleted.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe the person who "convinced you to extend your contract" was trying to save you a $20 per month (for each month not completed) early cancellation fee? When you sign up for DTV, you are agreeing to a 24 month commitment.

So, yes, if you have had the service for less than 24 months and suspend the service then you are still obligated to fulfill that 24 month agreement. That is why your contract would be extended.

If you use DTV for 18 months and then call and suspend it for 1-6 months, then you would still be in a commitment for the remaining 6 months after that suspended time. Grow a brain and start listening to the actual salesperson's information.

WOW! If only you did what you say you reaaly called for,and cancelled.Sounds more like you were trying to be a "trickster"yourself. Trying to weasel your way into some "free" stuff.Hum?Your the i d i o t!

It is not clear whether you cancelled DTV or not. If you did cancel service they will in all probability charge your credit card if your contract is not up.

$20 for every month left on your contract.also,DTV is well known for charging customers credit cards for non-returned equipment before you can get it sent back to them(be sure to get a tracking#for the equipment sent back to them as your proof)as they are also known to say they did not receive the equipment.

If you disagree with any charges they place on your c card, you have the right to dispute the charges with your cc but be aware that the charges may be put back on after cc's investigation as some crecit card's and DTV have an ongoing relationship. BTW,This is how DTV stays in business by "using trickster antics to prey on poor people".

Directv in Willimantic, Connecticut - Direct TV Defective Equipment and Poor Install

Install date was set for Thursday between 8 am. and 12. Technician shows up for install at 5:30 pm. Hooks up equipment and leaves cut cable ties and wire all over yard. Equipment remote that does not work correctly. When pushing button the remote sends a double signal to the receiver therefore you cannot tune in a specific channel. When I contacted Direct TV, I was told that I could purchase another remote and have it in 3 weeks for $ 25.00. I have had this equipment for 3 days and it did not work correctly from day 1. However they would send me a new remote for no charge if I signed up for the equipment insurance for only $ 5.99 per month. So far very unhappy with Direct TV considering I have only had their system for less than a week.

Directv in Seattle, Washington - Direct TV gave me the ol' run-around.

We had a DVR box with went out (nothing but snow on the screen), so I phoned tech support at Direct TV. My intention was to just purchase a new DVR box, but the support person said they wouldn't do that as they had to "review" my account. Now, we have been loyal, good customers for over 6 years... always prompt with payments and even accepted a few of their promotions. So what does reviewing my account have to do with replacing a DVR box? I accepted the support person's answer and believed her when she said that they would be phoning me back within 2 hours. I had to call them back in almost 3 hours. The agent gave me another run around and said they would call me back in 30 minutes. I called them back in another hour. 3 agents later, and nothing is done. All I wanted was a new box??? I'm phoning back to cancel my account. Horrible service!!!

They have gotten your information from somewhere even your cell#. Seems kind of remote that they would have all that info for a false account.Could someone have used your ID?

demand that they send you a bill and watch your credit report. Good Luck

Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - Dont subscribe to direct tv.

They cancel my subscription for non payment.Ok.. I aggree with that.4-5 times I speak to the reps. and ask for the address to return the receivers but they keep insisting for paying them first.I just got tired of dealing with them. I finally got the address from my co-workers who is also canceling thier service.I'm glad that I'm on month to month basis with them.My contract had expired but I wasn't happy that they can automatically increased my monthly bill for another $23.00. I only have the basic channel and I'm being charge from $67.00 to $84.00 . I find my business somewhere else. This company is going down soon. A lot of people are not satisfied with this co.I tried to e-mail customer service. once you click to continue, it froze.Also..anyone who still with direct tv...my advice is cancell your visa card and don't give them your new one. Make sure you pay the one time payment only. Don't give them the auto..if they debit your card without your permision. Let the bank handle that..
