Directv AND Newscorp both suck

Know what? Both companies are lying to us just like they're politicians - who do they think they are? The fact is though, that while FX used to be an average network, they now have some of the best shows on tv and I for one have to admit that they're worth more than a lot of the others so, don't they deserve a raise? Not that I want to see my allready rediculously high cable bill go any higher, but just like most of the other posters - cancel my stations and I'll cancel my Directv. Now, where are my rabbit ears?

Directv. Dishonest. Won't refund $300.

I'm really pissed off. I paid $300 dlls in advance to DirecTV to get my service installed. After a couple of tech visits, they determined that dish could not be installed in my apartment. I called to get the refund and they promised that within 3 to 5 business days I would get my refund. Nada. I called again and they made sure that my order was cancelled, gave me the cancellation number and again promised me that I'd receive the refund in 3-5 business days. 15 days and nothing. Nada. I call again and they tell me that the order was not cancelled, but still in the "pending" state. It's been almost two months after all started. I'm sure DirecTV has a great product, but their customer service sucks. I don't want to do business with dishonest people.

Directv in Los Angeles, California - Direct TX and FX

All my favorite shows are on FX. They have the best programming, if Direct Tv (DTV) drops FX, I will drop DTV, and my 4 DVR receivers, and my pay channels for a company who cares what its customers want. DTV says it is all FX's fault - what network does not want to be seen? DTV charges me 15 a month for my DVR's, they have more than made their money back for the cost of them, so if they do cancel these channels, Speed, Fuel, FX and whatever others, they can afford to cut my bill for the loss of them, right? I know my one subscription is a drop in the bucket for DTV, but hopefully if you add all the pissed customers up, it at least effects their bottom line enough to make them wake up and pay attention to what their customers want - cut one of the channels that just repeats another channels programming to save money. Some shows give me a choice of 3 channels to record from, don't cut one of the few original programming channels. fools.

Please do NOT get rid of FX. That's one of the best channels direct tv offers.

I am already aware that I as a consumer I pay a lot to simply watch tv!

But if I at least get to watch channels like FX then it's worth it to me. They get rid of FX I get rid of direct tv.

Direct TV is threatening to drop FX and various stations which I have been paying for and is a part of my contract package. If Direct TV drops FX than I will drop Direct TV for Breach of Contract and will look into a class action lawsuit against them. Direct TV has...

Directv cannot drop them. The affiliates are who decide if they are going to remove the channels.

Furthermore it isnt a breach when its in your contract that they can make programming changes when ever they like without notice. You also are notified prior to the channel dropping.

I am tired of getting screwed over by big industry where you are just a number. Its bad enough the cost of intertanment these days is thru the roof! After working long hard hours and struggling to pay bills the average guy likes to come home and get lost in a great tv...

You are almost always better off with cable. Reception and customer service much better at a company like Charter. I suggest you give them a try if in your area.

Directv in Alamogordo, New Mexico - Taking fx off the air

I have been with this company for a long time. Now I hear FX is going to be discontinued. Instead of taking FX off, remove some of the sports channels. I enjoy Sons of Anarchy and now I won't be able to see the end of the episode. They raise your bill or maybe even keep it the same, but you are losing more channels, how is that fare when you still are paying the same price, if FX is discontinued I will look for another company. I will cancel my Direct TV though!!!!! Gone! Gone! Gone!Gone! Gone!

I would not have missed FX. Hope that DirecTV did not cave too much on the agreement or we will all see a rate increase.

Directv in Howell, New Jersey - Do Not Drop any Fox Channels or I will drop DirectTV

I love my Direct TV, which I have had for at least nine years now. People sometimes make fun at me because in bad weather we sometimes lose our signal and have no TV. I remedied that by opting to subscribe to our local cable company for basic cable only as well as internet and telephone service too. Add it altogether and for me it comes out cheaper than having 3 separate companies to handle each individually. However, if Direct TV drops fox, I will drop Direct TV. I WILL NO LONGER KEEP DIRECT TV in my home. Your choice.

I forgot to add that I love the National Geographic channels. I am not going to pay more, I already pay too much.

I am already comparing prices for another cable provider, because you are droping FX. I think you should drop some of the sports channels that I pay for and do not watch.

I also think that we should be able to pick the channels we want and not have to pay for the ones we do not watch. It's your choice on how you run your business, but if you drop FX I feel you are not keeping your end of the deal or the contract agreement that I signed up for, and I'm obviously am not a valued customer so I will go with someone who, will appreciate me and my business.

I just recently went from Dish to Direct TV because of the channels it offered and if it dropped the Fox Channels and National Geographic channels well then it is not the contract I signed up for. I would not be a Direct TV subscriber because direct TV would be the one who violated the contract by promising certain channels and then trying to pass off something else which as for as I know is considered fraud in this country. The Fox Channels and National Geographic channels were part of the package I signed up. Those channels account for ninety percent of our television watching.

I would not be a Direct TV subscriber now if the Fox Channels and National Geographic channels were not in the channels included. Those channels account for ninety percent of our television watching. The other channels I watch can pretty much be received with a small antenna.

Directv in Nashville, Tennessee - Direct Tv #1 in terrible customer service

The person on the phone tells me they are #1 in customer service. I cancelled their service and they said I would receive boxes to and them back. 4 times later no boxes. They say fedex says the boxes were dropped off. They can't give me a tracking #, but I should take their word. Also fedex is not a vendor of theirs. Said the customer care advocate who argued with me. They don't pay for the boxes. They have no control over them. Well I see it as they have no control over anything, especially their PRICES. Directv in Yakima, Washington - Sons of Anarchy

I cannot believe that FX will be eliminated just like that! Shame on Direct TV! If this happens we will switch back to cable and so will almost everyone we know! No more Fox news! OMG! I am sorry that we switched to Direct TV. If this is not fixed, and FX and the rest of the programs are not kept, Direct TV will lose a lot of customers and the word will travel fast!! How can you just decide to change the programs that we pay so much for? Our service has been nothing but a hassle on many levels!!

Yeah, we love watching Sons of Anarchy and many of the other shows on FX. After reading these customer complaints about losing channels and poor customer support, we will be sticking with Cable, too bad as I was going to call them today and sign up. Their loss, not mine.
