I have AT&T Direct TV cable service at my home. On September 1, 2019, the cable service stopped. Called AT&T support/technical services to resolve the issue. After phone trouble shooting it was determined a service tech was required. Between September 1 until October 10 (2019) I've set up 6 service appointments. As of today (10/11/2019) AT&T has missed all 6 appointment and never call. Every time I call to discuss all I get is lies and "No Action". To date I've paid $225 for 1-1/2 months with zero service. Lost genie box | Directv review from Lake Worth, Florida

Technician who installed a new box offered to return old one. He did not and I have been charged $135. I have contacted MasTec who supply technicians to Directv but got nowhere. They started out being helpful but then stopped returning emails. The technician was no longer employed by them! I have called Directv and AT&T numerous times and they just say box was not returned YOU have to pay.

Horrible | Directv review

Details
After watching bill constantly go up, I put my service on hold for about 2 months. Followed up by contacting DirectTv to turn off my service. Guess what? Service was not disconnected!!!!!! I was billed for a month and a half (with proration), they stated that they had no proof that I had disconnected my service and therefore the charges were valid. I asked if IT could verify that I was not receiving a signal and they said it didn’t matter because it was “my choice” not to utilize my service. Again, it was my choice to to utilize service that I had directed them to disconnect and was assuming was off. In addition they can prorate service for connection but they can’t prorate for disconnection.

Direct then proceeded to try to cancel the service as if they were doing it for unpaid bill. I had called and canceled service a full 6 weeks prior to that. I want them to credit my account for the charge for service not received.

I had a house fire and had to move out of my home. I called Direct to explain and asked them to suspend my account until I could get back in my home. They kept trying to give me different dates for service to stop. I told them the fire was on 6/26/19 and that should be the stop date. They said they had already billed me for the next month and I needed to pay that. My bill was paid for service received. I told them I should not be billed for something I couldn't use.

Direct TV service is pitiful. As soon as ANY OTHER CARRIER has NFL Sunday ticket I will dump Direct immediately & go with another carrier.
