Directv in Midland, Texas - Dierct TV

Still sitting waiting for my install. Scheduled day wasnt done installer showed up 2 hours before scheduled time i was given. Shuffled things at work to be here and tech wasnt able to wait. Contacted support 2x's and told to rescheduled and did. Called tech and spoke to him and was told another tech was being sent Thursday the 15th and If i was pleased oriinal tech would come do work. Well its friday and no one yet not even a cal from the 2nd tech which had my number. Someone from Dierct Tv call me this is not acceptable. Not even a supervisor has called, so much for customer service being a priority. Long weekend ahead and thats no good for us.

Directv in Ocala, Florida - Direct TV Didn't Do Anything For Me

I have been a customer of Direct TV for a year now. I got savings for a year but now my bill went from 59.37 to 94.00 a month. I called them on 09/16/11 to see what they could do for me to lower my bill as they are always giving specials to new customers and forget about their good paying customers... They offered me 10.00 off what about the new customers getting the NFL package and movie channels for free plus extra credits towards their bill. Doesn't Direct TV want to keep your customers. I would rather pay the extra money to get out of contract and go to another company like brighthouse with no contract. Jane Bauder 352-454-1142

When DirectTV offers a "Special" to new customers you had better believe there is always a catch. They don't offer these to the old customers because they can not get their money back as some customers contracts are ready to expire and may not reup with them. What they don't tell you is how much they raise the new customers bills after a few months and after a year.

Directv in Albany, New York - Fishy

i do not recommend direct tv to anyone. My ex used my credit card to place his account so he could get direct tv, we split up and direct tv WILL not remove my credit card from their files, they are basically stealing my credit card. Do not place an order with these people, they are thieves. I called the bank and had to cancel my card because they will not remove it. Who is to say my ex wont cancel his account and im stuck with the bill? they didnt care as long as they get their money they dont care about the customers.

You were very wise in cancelling your card because DTV uses the card they have on file and there is a good chance they would have used yours.

Hun, they are conratualy obligated to only deal with the person who OPENED the account. And you are the one who let your boyfriend use your card.

And HE is happy with you fitting the bill on this.

I just hope you learned a Valuble lession. When you are in a relationship the next time someone wants to use you card make sure the accounts in your name so if it dose go south, YOU can cancel the service.

Directv in Fair Oaks, California - Made me pay shipping to replace faulty equipment

My direct tv receiver was faulty (kept overheating). My unit was the black DVR sattelite receiver. The service person, James, told me Directv has been having problems with these particular units overheating When I called to have service on the equipment, instead of fixing the the problemt, they are having me mail it back to them but I have to pay the shipping and handling of the transaction. What is the point of my monthly fees, if it doesn't cover the repair of their faulty equipment? I have had nothing but problems with Directv and would definitely never ever use them again.

Also they also extend your contract for another 2 years for replacing their faulty equipment.This is one of their lates scams,they used send shipping labels for their equipment.If you send it back be sure to get tracking lable from FedEx(I believe they only accept FedEx)

I worked for a company that handles the calls for directv, and I am sorry for your experience. I assure you that directv does value their customers. Some of the call centers made not express this, but they do. I would have fixed your issues and you would have hung up with a totally different feeling. I no longer work for that call center, When anyone signs up for dtv you have to submit your rebates before your installation, so you see the savings on your first bill. If you don't have a computer call us and we will be glad to submit them for you. They have a protection plan also that covers your equipment. When I left there, I probably felt the same way as our customers. Directv really needs to get a handle on their sales people and how their agents that are the direct link to the customers are treated.

When I got DTV I did call about the rebates and the rep said she would be glad to help me,she signed me up for the rebates or so I thought..I later found out that I had not been signed up at all.then the over billing started and again I'd call and they would swear it was taken off only to be on next month's bill.then, DTV stated they did not receive one of my payments and would turn off my service if I did not pay.I sent them proof of payment by mail and fax 3 times,they still swore they did not get it. In desperation I cancelled service and had a lot of trouble getting the early cancellation fees & nonreturned equip fees back taken off my credit card had to cancel cc. I will NEVER have DTV again and do not recommend that anyone else get their servicezNuhy

No Phillies on Directv

I had no idea that after I dropped Comcast Cable and signed up for Directv that they do not carry the Philadelphia Phillies unless they are on one of the major networks. Comcast has the Phillies locked in so with no Philly 57 or CB 17 I was screwed. I had to subscribe to their baseball package to the tune of 216 bucks. And even after that there were still games that were blacked out. Me trying to save money over Comcast did not become a reality after I forked out the cash. Keep in mind I have to buy it again before my 2 year contract ends. :(

Directv in Chicago, Illinois - Direct tv clueless

Direct tv is the worst company I ever known . They charge me $400.00 for account I don't have with them when I called customer service they have no idea of what's going on and very rude. Now they are refusing to credict my account. I don't how they ever get my info and customer service just keep telling me I had service but can't give me account number or dates of service they simply *** don't deal with company. what terrible service, where they find this people than you ask for supervisor and no better he'll give you lie after lie n you correct him and all he says " oh you're right".

Ceci1.... did you have an account with DTV in the past?

did you pay someone's bill using your credit card or bank account? They have your info on file and must have gotten it from somewhere.Talk to your bank or credit card whichever DTV has on file for you,they may be able to help you reverse or dispute the charges and get your money back

Directv in Vass, North Carolina - Direct TV was called 2 days after Irene and fix date is sept.20.

I called to schedule repair after Irene took down a tree that hit the satellite dish. Repair date is September 20th was set. I even called the tech. that installed it ands he said he would come,not seen him as of today and his supervisors phone mail box is full and will not take messages. I emailed Direct and I got the response that yep it would be Sept.20 be fore repair. DISH corrected theirs within 10 days of IRENE. Guess where I will move mine AT THE END OF CONTRACT?????? There is no way to contact management about this that I can find.

Directv in Denver, Colorado - 4 visits no signal no results no help

Not happy with directv for six months.Need dish moved,I have had four visits from service over the past three months.First one knows what to do, but don't have the equiptment needed with them to fix the problem.On the next visit they have no information of last visit,all notes from the previous visit were never forwarded.I have explained the problem too many times,I am very frustrated.I asked for a supervisor to give a second openion no one ever came by that I am aware of.I am curently looking for alternatives to directv.

Directv in Des Moines, Iowa - They couldn't install service and are now charging me

I do not have direct tv and i am getting bills in the mail. You guys couldn't get good sattelite reception due to trees and supposedly cancelled my request for service. I am getting extremely ticked receiving these bills in the mail. I tried to call, but talked to some lady who had no clue what i was talking about and kept trying to get me to buy internet service. What the *** is going on?????? I have no cable, no direct tv and just recieved a bill for 464.50 for account number 80988036 and let me say again, I have no cable service! I get like 5 channels on my tv. I would have loved service from you, but your people couldn't connect it. And after this b.s. I don't know if I'll ever even try to get it from you again. I'm extremely upset.

The same thing happened to me!! We called to cancel our subscription and within an hour our service was shut off (remotely of course).

So after two months of receiving bills I had had enough and called them up. They said we were recieving service (and had been since they shut it off) and that it was only a coincidence that right after we called to cancel it was shut off. Also, the guy on the phone said that there was no way of knowing whether we were telling the truth about not getting television. Yeaahh right!!

So, after conning us into keeping our contract (either keep it or pay a $250 fee plus a monthly fee equal to that of the actual service, but no service, which keep in mind the first cancellation included NONE of this)he got us 'signed back up' and voila, he turned our service back ok. Give me a break DirecTV.

Evidently DTV thinks you have service with them.Try sending them an email,sometimes you get better results than calling.Watch your bank acc. or credit card for charges from DTV
