Directv in Livingston, New Jersey - Direct tv is a theif

II ordered direct tv and was told I would get hd service for free with my package. Then after they installed it they said it would cost extra to have the hd. Oh it gets better. They asked for A deposit for the installation of 29 dollars and which I paid using my card. After a length conversation with them about not getting hd I canceled my service. About two months later I find on my bank statement where they had withdrawn money and called it a " early cancellation fee". They said my card information would be deleted after the deposit was done. Direct tv is a fraudulent company and I would never recommend them. Beware and be fore warned.

Directv in Rochester, New York - Missed eta poor communication

recieved call @ 0700 to confirm eta for today between 0800-1200...recieved call @ 1140 stating tech had tech meeting that morning and would be late. It's now 1313 and still no tech or phone call. I understand "stuff happens", however I have lost over 6hrs worth of pay to deal with this. I'll be looking to change or cancel my contract and go back to the "other" guy...you should have a "comp" system for this ***!!! This is the reason that other companies loose and Direct TV should gain, but this is no way to treat customers...paying on time customers!

Directv in Chicago, Illinois - DirectTV- Early cancellation fee

I am a senior citizen who has been laid off from my job and have been unable to find work. Needless to say my family is living a very tight budget. I have been a DirectYV customer for over 15 years. I recently attempted to reduce my DirectTV bill only to be told twice that this was not possible. I then went to a competitor for lot less. When I called to cancel my DirectTV account I was offered a price which was considerable less . I told them that I had my new system set up. I was then told that there would be a $300.00( 15 months at $$20 per month) cancellation fee. I was totally shocked as this had not been previously explained to me. I went back thru my records and could find nothing in writing from DirectTV stating this policy. I later spoke with a supervisor explaining my financial situation plus the fact that this had not been explained to me and was told that this was the policy and there was nothing that could be done to waive this charge. Having been a loyal customer for 15 years I am shoched at his treatment. In addition being a senior citizen who is unable to find work I was shocked at his callousness. Beware of this scam. Don't let this happen to you.

Directv in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma - DIRECT TV HARRASSING MAILINGS FOR 20 YEARS

i have tried many, many times to call and cancel all the continuous mailings by direct tv company. i have wasted endless hours on phone numbers going thru menus only to be disconnected or sent to call another phone number. Nothing in the mailings to help a person cancel them. you just have to fumble your way through endless numbers. if after 20 years a person doesn't buy your service , QUIT MAILING JUNK MAIL ADVERTISING TO THEM. EVERYONE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD HAS CABLE AND COMPLAINS ABOUT IT , YOU ARE WASTING PAPER AND RESOURCES. STOP . I AM FILING COMPLAINTS ON EVERY WEBSITE I CAN FIND. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET YOUR ATTENTIOIN. I HAVE ASKED MANY TIMES AND IT DOESN'T STOP. CEO'S DO SOMETHING, SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING. YOU SEND SOLICIT MY ADDRESS WITH MANY OTHER NAMES BUT SAME ADDRESS, JUST VARIATIONS OF OUR ACTUALLY NAME. Directv in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - Screw their customers with their *** contract

Direct tv is such a scam. Not only do they double your fees after the first year. They steal your money off of your credit card and after you return their equipment they keep your money for thirty days. When you call them they say they have no human beings in the presidents office or finance office. How do they run a company when you cannot speek to a human being. Then to all of their existing customers, they offer NFL sunday ticket but not to you because you are EXISTING. Where is the customer LOYALTY. Then if you do buy a sports channel, they black out the games you want to watch. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT. Not to mention if you have a rain storm you have no tv. I recommend you all do what we did and switch to a cable company THAT HAS NO CONTRACT

Lots of companies have promotions to get customers.

If you dont return the equipment they steal your money so you will return their stolen equipment. It worked, you returned the equipment.

Directv in Hamilton, Ohio - 1800directtv internet offer somehow is only offered nationally, but not in my area.

I took time out of my day to shop for possibly changing over from cable to Direct TV. Found a package that looked to be an attractive start up, but later found out different. The price on the Internet wasn't available in my area for this was national package deal. WHAT? I live in this nation. This tells me that this is a scam to get people to call only to be told, " This package isn't for you, but hey for a bunch more money a month we can give you this for this much". The package was $34.99 for 12 mo. then 65.99 for 12 mo. with what I wanted in a system.

Direct tvs instilation people are a bunch of lazy fools!! Dont waist your time putting up with there bs!! The customer service people lie and tell you what u wanna here only to have the instilation come out amd try and *** u outta money for hidden fees.. Dont go with direct!!!! they are rude when they come to your home and act like they dont wanna do there job.. Not to mention it took them over 30 days jus to get them to come out to the house.. Bet it wont take them 30 days to get there *** in a trash bag off my front porch!!

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Both girls were not at all helpful and did not seem to know their material.

I am VERY upset that we switched to Direct TV because we can't get ESPN 3 to watch the NCSU Wolfpack games. I tried to explain to the girl that ESPN 3 is NOT a 3D channel, just a regular channel. Four other tv services offer ESPN 3, but we thought we made the right choice in choosing Direct TV, because our neighbor said you all were the best. He has Dish TV and that is what I thought we were getting, but I was informed that Dish had been bought out. Plus the cost monthly is not what you said it would be.

in our line up of customer channel availability (for directv) the the espn3 is listed as espn3d. It may not be in other companies but as far as us lowly phone techs know that is what we find when we find information on espn3.

It is a 3d channel only. I do know that other service providers have ESPN3 as far as i know we only have it as 3d.

They are very RUDE people.We asked for direct to be dissconnected from one of our rental app.We called serveal times and talked to shannon dan diane who said she was a manager we talked to that many people about it but they said that we didnt call.we even had cox cable put in the app.we have the bill from cox when they came out and set it up.Anyway they r rude.We will be changing our cable to cox or dish and we will make sure our family change to.we have been there for nine years.

If you need service or an installation for getta about it. Three times I waited for them and they cancelled, when they give you a time frame it means nothing, I had a 8-12

time and the bozo didn't show up till 8 that night and still could not do the job cause he didn't have the right material.

What do people do who have to take time off from work. Customer service is just as bad

they sweet talk you to death, call three different people and get three different answears. And they advertise to be #1 in customer service, I' hate to see who's the worst.

Directv in Las Cruces, New Mexico - DONT EVER GET DIRECT TV!!

Don't ever get Direct TV! The service is HORRIBLE, the representative are rude and unprofessional! I had to set up several dates for someone to come in and install my service because they WOULD NOT show up and never called to say they would be late. I missed a whole day of work waiting for them to show. Every time I tried to call, I was placed on hold for over 30 minutes or would get transferred from one rep to another. I tried to cancel and had to call back several times because they never entered my cancellation in the system. Overall, HORRIBLE SERVICE and I am glad I got out of that one before I was stuck with them for two years. DON'T DO IT!!!
