Directv in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Direct TV Tech

Directv - Direct TV Tech
Directv - Direct TV Tech
Directv - Direct TV Tech
I called yesterday to get a tech out here and was told the 30th is the next available date. so, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and until between 4-8pm on Tuesday, 3 kids no cable! For real? word to direct TV, which I will be sending them a letter with these pics, I pay $90+ a month for your service, which I cannot afford but keep it to make my kids happy for Dragon Ball -Z-Budda Kai Pie or whatever show that is, and u cant afford to pay a qualified tech with at least 1/2 a brain, to do installations. It looks like bozo the clown decided to practice his balloon animals with my cable wires or perhaps a boy scout was trying to earn his knot tying badge. When I called for the 3rd time today, this *** Dalton from Florida says "sorry ma'am but that's the earliest date we can give you, but you are eligible for a free receiver. it will only cost you shipping and handling and increase your bill by $17 a month, oh no wait I'm sorry it will only increase your bill by $10 a month." My words to this Dalton character from Florida "stop right there are you really trying to sell me a package that will increase my bill when the *** that your people installed doesn't work????!! I want someone higher than you with more intelligence RIGHT NOW!" Mr. "more intelligence" gets on the phone..."Ma'am we have people calling for tech support all up the east coast and we cant get to them either." Me- if you look at my address I am in NM- THE DESERT! then he proceeds to tell me that It took his tech 2 weeks to get to him during his move....SERIOUSLY!!!???? I hung up the phone!

Call and ask for the retention department, threaten to cancel if they can't make you happy. I keep a monthly record of how many times may service is interrupted bc the signal is lost, I notate the day, time and how long it was out, I call every month and give them this info, they credit me back for the total amount of interrupted service. Why would I pay for an entire month when there are times I can't use it?

Anonymous!!!! Yes you i wouldnt want anyone to know my name either whats wrong do you think dtv will see your post and shut down your little scam!!!!

No there are lots of low life like you it eventually resolves its self ... First thing ! DirecTV has lost signal less than any other provider in a 12m period and you can still watch your recorded shows.... Seems you have a lot of time on your hands ....maybe if you had to pay for the time you watch TV more than usual you would not be so petty.

I bet you take ADVANTAGE of every free weekend for premium channels !!! For some reason you feel you are entitled to something maybe you should just cancel why would you stay with a company that you would have to keep a log of how much time you dont have service .,.what's up did you use up your value with dish if???) Its people like you that cause everyone to pay more for services sucking the system dry feeling entitled ...maybe you should see what u can get for not watching TV 247..... You get more than you can possibly watch and more than you pay for in 30 days... I'm sure you are just a peach to speak to in the retention dept.

Don't worry you wont have to take notes and call for long its short lived ... Make a note of this "The day will come when your account has NO VALUE" Every dollar you suck up with your silly unreasonable sniveling will reflect on the dollar you spend. You like taking notes ,make a note when you need something and you hear "I'm sorry your accouny is not eligible for any credit, free upgrade or free programing ! I'm sorry to see you go!".

If your bill is $ 100.00 month you only pay $3.33 per day and if dtv was out (and its not) 24hrs in a month you would have lost $3.33 of viewing time but I'm sure you are not paying full price for what you get anyway ..

Go find a hobby or read a book on character ...its not worth the disrespect the representatives feel when they see the low life account which contains every call and every time you threaten to cancel service you just sound like a chump after the first call....

If you subscribe to Direct TV through Costco, cross your fingers that you get an installer who is trained. Our experience with Direct TV installation is a nightmare. We subscribed to Direct TV through Costco online. Costco concierge service apparently doesn't...

Went through Costco for directv. 92 days after install - a major part (the swm) went out, and it is not covered.

After 90 days, directv didn't care that we were just 2 over when their installed equipment failed. We had to buy a service contract or would have paid an arm and a leg for a one-time service. Seems like planned failure to me.... Now we have to wait for a technician - scheduled at their whim.

Am missing all the football this weekend. Certainly not what I'd expect from a Costco endorsed service provider.

Had Dish, switched to Directv, am sorry I did

I had Dish for about 10 years and was happy but switched to Directv to get the free NFL pkg offered. My new system was installed 48 hours ago and I have had 3 outages since. It has currently been out over 8 hours today and I still can't get someone here to fix it. Tech support told me there must be a problem with the installation. After 3 calls today they are now telling me that someone will be here in 2 days even though earlier they said someone would be here TODAY. DON'T waste your time with Directv - I am going to cancel and not pay for anything since I never really had service

If they have your credit card or bank account # watch it because they will automatically debit the early cancellation fees and sometimes they go ahead and debit for the non returned equipment fees as well. The amount is $20 for every month left on your account+ about the same amount for the equipment fees.

Directv in Bellevue, Washington - Horrible customer svc

After only months of service I have had to call 5 times. Each time I have had to at the very least 45 minutes to get a resolution (my first call to them was 2.5 hours) They talk in circles and double talk. They agree to payment terms and then break the agreement. If I break my agreement with them I am charged for the remainder of my contract, what should be their punishment for dishonesty and bad business practices. Unfortunately their are 5 customer service reps that I have reamed out for their awful practices. I am sorry that they have to work there and deal with this, but perhaps if the employees complain enough about having to deal with irate customers someone will take notice and do something about the awful service. I will be on my own campaign online to encourage their customers to make a stink about their service. I have many friends who have direct and all of them have complained about them. I would tell the folks who are currently working there that when these contracts run out you all are going to see a decline in service. The word is out so your sales will drop.

Directv in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma - Direct TV lies, has terrible customer service

Several months ago I began have problems with my Direct TV DVR. I called and went through the fix on the phone. I then began having a lot of problems and calling tech support all the time. They almost always tried to act like it was a minor problem, even though it was always something different and almost constant. Sometimes they tried to say they didn't have a record of previous problem calls until I forced the issue. I began just resetting and reformatting the disk myself. It got so bad that two weeks ago I called and told them that this was their last chance. They told me at that time that if I had to call again they would send me a new dvr. She said she put it in the notes on my account. Today I began having problems that resetting and changing the batteries in the remote wouldn't fix. When I called, the tech first said there was no record of problems! She then said we needed to do this and that to fix it. I told her nothing fixed it and to check the notes, that on the previous call they told me I would get a new dvr. She said there wasn't anything in the notes about that! I said I wanted a new one that wouldn't have constant problems. She said she couldn't send me a new one. I told her to send me a final bill and get their equipment. They didn't even try to keep me after 10 years! I told them I would tell everyone I can not to get Direct TV and that they don't value their customers. I am now going with Cox Cable. I can't understand how they would let a 10 year customer go instead of just sending a new box. There must be something going on in that company that I don't understand, or else they are the worst managed company in history.

Ya was with Direct Tv for 5 months and 4 of the months I had repair guys at my house. I was out of tv for atleast half the time I was a customer but the bills kept coming with no discount after complaining " I just want to watch tv ".

Final bill they offered me a whole 20 bucks off for my trouble but in the end I paid 70 a month to have TV half the time. I think I may have gotten ripped of lol u think ? I said I have hbo showtime dvr box extra box meet me in the middle at 35 or you can have your stuff back..

the guy actually just transfered me to cancellation department or 15 dollars instead of actually making a customer not feel as ripped off has I was .. I guess 15 bucks will put Direct TV out of business wtf lol..

Directv in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania - Direct TV

All I have to say is STAY AWAY from the hype! $29.95 will get you in a 2 year contract that you cannot get out of unless you have a cable company buy them out. That even sometimes is a major chore. DTV will charge you $20 a month for any unused months of the 24 month contract that, when you take their service will automatically put you in this position. They never inform you of this. Then they will charge your credit card WITHOUT your authorization if you cancel. They are the worst! You cannot get any complaint answered.

Directv in Chicago, Illinois - Direct TV What a Rip

I have been a Direct TV subscriber for years. At first I subscribed because it was supposedly a good deal...yeah, unless it's raining, snowing or the wind is blowing. Service goes out constantly. Billing is a *** at best. We've actually had folks laugh at us...most recently, ROBERTA employee number OKC3125...if that is even actually her number. Upon my installation at my new home three years ago, Direct TV sub-contracted out the install....to a guy who weighed about 400 lbs. who proceeded to tell us that he could not go up on my roof any further than he could reach from the top of his ladder....needless to say, from day one, we had interference issues as Mr. Tubby had installed the satellite in a way that had several trees in my yard creating problems with transmission...we had Direct TV folks out to the house 4 times....each person told us something different....until finally, after I "escalated" the complaint to the highest level possible, we were finally told the truth...the trees were in the way...and they were causing the problems....and oh yeah, employees are supposed to go up on the roof to ensure proper installation and transmission.... Our TV guide went out constantly.....taking hours to reboot and show the programming....finally we had a guy come out again and he took apart the satellite revealing to us that we had a SPanish Language component on the dish that was causing all the issues....pretty funny, since we are Anglo, ENGLISH speaking and never asked for that at all.....that is the one thing that works fine now....after 4 trips.... I can go on......Direct TV should be fined ....Where is the FCC in all of this? I know there are folks like me out there....many friends have had similar complaints...you can't get through....can't get help///unless you navigate a computer maze that takes about 5 minutes or longer to speak to a real person.... HELP!!...btw...If the CEo of Direct TV a *** about any of this, the complaints would be dealt with....obviously, when you get laughed at by he folks who are being paid to help you, that attitude and condescending demeanor comes from the top....

Directv in Naperville, Illinois - Direct TV=***

I think it sucks..and yes I am pissed, if you are paying extra for a protection plan and you have to call at least 3 times because you are having problems with your service. They tell you...unhook this..press that.. blah blah blah. How about this. You send somebody out here to fix or replace this *** box and or cables, because I'm not getting paid to fix this $%it,,,you are. Remember? I'm paying you. If I didn't get ugly they would of had me unhooking their *** again. I truly think they think you are *** enough to keep calling every time it messes up, they have you tamper with it a bit, and then it works for another week. Then they save money by not having you cash in on your protection plan. I thought Dish Network was bad. Its hard to tell at this point who is worse. Going to call Comcast.

Directv in Green Bay, Wisconsin - Overcharged for Introductory Offer

I ordered Direct TV with a discounted introductory price. Apparently I ordered through a third party retailer called Direct Star (not identified at the time). In order to receive the lower price I needed to fill out a rebate form prior to installation - website give to me at the time of order. I went to the site right after completing my call. Upon receiving my bill, I saw that I did not receive the lower price. I called the number on the bill to find out why. Direct TV rep and supervisor told me that the website given by Direct Star was not the official rebate site, and that I could complete the rebate form today, it would be applied in 6-8 weeks. Until then I have to pay full price. I consider this misleading advertising on the part of Direct TV. They talk about a low price, but only if you fill out a rebate form. Apparently rebates can be applied in DAYS if done prior to installation, but takes MONTHS once you have signed a contract. Based on my experience I would recommend AGAINST Direct TV. Once you sign, you're sunk.

Directv in Denver, Colorado - Direct TV

DirectTv is unbelievable. I recently ordered directTv and in ordering through Qwest, I was unable to get the exact deal that was mentioned. The deal was only offered online from DirectTv's website but since I went through Qwest, it was a special ordering system. The equipment I wanted was unabled to be ordered online so I got as close as I could get and then figured I could just call in. Well not the case, it's not the fact that DirectTv employs idiots and it takes you 3 departments and 3 separate people to find 3 stories, it's that you're stuck once you make your order. I was actually sent to cancellations lol. I have wondered for years why I would ever go with Comcast over DirectTv and usually price always wins since DirectTv is usually cheaper after the "special" deals wear off. Well I have found a really good reason why I will never go with DirectTv again once my 24 month contract is up. You get HORRIBLE customer service and they can't do anything for you when it comes to equipment. With Comcast I could have walked down to the office and got it all cleared up and been happy. Now I'm stuck for 2 years without a DVR or I'll have to pay $200 for something I was supposed to get for free. Buyer beware, if you're a new customer the will promise you the world, if you're not.... well they basically say f'You!
