Directv in Irvine, California - Authorization to intall dish

I am a resident manager at a private apartment complex and I would like to complain about The Direct Tv employees who come and install the dishes on private properties like my apartment complex. The Direct Tv employees should have authorization to install dishes with the managers frist and not just with the customer residents who are purchasing the Direct Tv. Please make sure that your employees are getting permission and authorization with managers before they get on the roof of the building and start the cable instalation. We have had many complaints with the owner of our apartment complex. Please speak with your employees.

Directv in Cumberland, Maryland - Direct TV Directs IT upyours

Illiterate, contradicting, deliberately annoying DIRECT-TV salepeople. James: I informed him that I'm a potential new customer, and he replies since you already had service you'll have to call in, I'll be glad to give you the number; And then CUTS ME OFF - GOODBY Great salesmanship, the MANAGER must reflect in his staff. Another salesperson: I inquire about delayed 3 free months of premium channels, she says yes, sure, then probably then I never heard of this before, I'll connect you to a supervisor then hangs up. I inquire about payment options, and she says monthly is OK, PERIOD. Then I ask about services - details regarding packages - she informs me, then she states that you don't gett that with certain payments, yet didn't mention this previously when I asked about payments. We are past - no fast - becomming a third world, we are an eighth world. Explanation: third world people postmigratorily established around 50 to 75 thousand years ago, mankind originated in Africa about 200 thousand years ago (I've heard several varying estimates all DNA based - oddly enough)so prorated or extrapolated that makes Africa about eighth world. And we are absorbing and de-evolving at a tremendous pace. Go Devo! Go James!

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Steal your money!!!!

I had Direct tv service through AT&T. The service was horrible. We called numerous times to have it repaired and it never worked. we canceled the service and went to AT&T U-verse. Direct TV charged us a $498.54 contract fee 6 months later on our credit card without warning. They are a complete rip off, and this is an illegal practice, there was never a signed or agreed to contract, they said they cannot produce one but they will not give us our money back. Be aware of them, the lie and steal like a common thug. I am writing formal complaints to whatever agency will listen.

Directv in Stone Mountain, Georgia - Direct TV, thanks for the new lawn ornament!

My wife recently signed with Direct TV on a shopping trip to Sam's Club. The installation was scheduled for between 8 am & noon. Technician showed up at 12:20. I left to go to an appointment and my wife came home to take over. Tech said he would like to place dish on pole in yard. He said it was too heavy for the roof. Several of my neighbors have them on the roof. He stated that he could place in the corner where not visisble. Placed it in middle of yard where kids play. Wife said, my husband is not going to be happy. Called Direct TV to complain, they said if you purchase through Sam's Club that they are not responsible for the installation. The contracting company said they would charge to re-locate. Tild them to stick it, and called Direct TV. They said they could send someone out for $45 more. That's after I was charged $65 for the pole in my yard and $35 for he cable to be wrapped around my garage! I'll let you know what happens when Direct TV Tech comes out Sunday.

Directv in Deer Park, Washington - Scamed me with the movers connect promotion

Unbelievable!!!! Ive sent two e-mails along with several calls. My bill almost doubled when I moved all because of a promo the movers connection gave me. I'm paying for movie channels that were given to me free for 6 months. A representative told me that the credit will take up to two months to apply to my account. In the mean time I'm paying for movie channels that were given to me as a promotional perk. Direct tv should reemburse me for having to pay for these channels. I never asked to recieve them. Its some kinda scam into making money off of your customers. Trust me I'll let all my friends know that Direct TV is doing this to people. So for getting movie channels for "free" for 6 months, its actually 4 months because 2 of those months I have to pay for them. Thats a messed up promotional deal.

Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Ordered movie by mistake - my BAD!

I discovered 2 unknown charges on my Directv billing: a movie and a premium channel. The movie I can understand, however there is so much programming it's hard to know what is free and what is not. The premium channel subscription was just weird: Playboy channel - in SPANISH! I contacted Directv by e-mail and received a canned response that someone must have ordered it albeit by mistake. No credit allowed. But if I would like to cancel it before the 30-day period there would be an additional $10 charge. My solution was to place a $1 limit on ordering through the remote - something Directv might consider doing as the default. If we want to order a movie we have to enter in a passcode to allow the charge and won't get dinged again by a fat-finger mistake.

Directv in Dumas, Arkansas - Direct TV

I think Direct TV sucks with sports. I get the MLB package and when the game is blacked out on the channel that you get it is blacked out in the MLB channels. So, I sit here and think what am I paying extra for. Direct TV says you get all these channels not just the sports channels but all the other ones also seem to be blacked out all the time. When a game is being showed on a channel then it is blacked out. I wish I could get cable where I am at because I never had that much trouble with cable. I still thought about trying dish network but I have a contract with Direct TV for 2 years. I see why they make you sign the contract for 2 years now because I don't think anyone in their right mind would stay with them.

if your paying for the mlb package, games in your area will be blacked out on the visiting teams network, or major networks for some reason, the thing to do is go to all channels and look for the network that usually broadcasts the game and see if the is another channel close to it with an a for alternate and hit select

:upset 2 more years will seem like forever with this company. We ended up sucking it up and keeping one receiver to finish out our contract and got cable back. I wish you the best of luck and hope your troubles are minimum.

Directv in Dallas, Texas - Approach with EXTREME caution...

Never in a million years would I recommend anyone to use Direct TV. Absolutely horrible customer service. I called to ask why I had an outstanding balance on my account and they would not let me speak to anyone UNTIL I paid the account. I had to pretend I was ordering new service to speak with an actual person! I cancelled my service early (I thought it was a 12 month contract, not 2 year- read fine print very, very carefully) and hit with outrageous fines. They had sent me this "recovery" kit to send back my receiver, and the carrier loses it in the mail. Even though on the instruction sheet they say to deliver it to the USPS, they REALLY transfer it to FedEx as their carrier. "FedEx" loses my package and according to Direct TV's supervising managers I am still responsible for FedEX losing the receiver and coughing up $200 to replace it. They even tried to SELL ME more products and services when I made it clear I had left them VERY upset at the way they treat customers! Unreal. Buyer Beware.

I have no idea what you both are talking about. We are always more than happy to discuss your charges.

You're full of *** when you say that we do not treat customers with a past due balance like humans.

True, we cannot make changes to your services, but, to disrespect a customer in that way is just ***.....And, I'm SORRY you no longer work there. It's your loss....

I am sorry about your experience. I worked for that shady company before.

If a customer is past due they are pretty much told to not treat the customer as a human and tell them we doing nothing for you until you pay us or we will send you to collections. They are that greedy.
