Directv in Dumas, Arkansas - Direct TV

I think Direct TV sucks with sports. I get the MLB package and when the game is blacked out on the channel that you get it is blacked out in the MLB channels. So, I sit here and think what am I paying extra for. Direct TV says you get all these channels not just the sports channels but all the other ones also seem to be blacked out all the time. When a game is being showed on a channel then it is blacked out. I wish I could get cable where I am at because I never had that much trouble with cable. I still thought about trying dish network but I have a contract with Direct TV for 2 years. I see why they make you sign the contract for 2 years now because I don't think anyone in their right mind would stay with them.

if your paying for the mlb package, games in your area will be blacked out on the visiting teams network, or major networks for some reason, the thing to do is go to all channels and look for the network that usually broadcasts the game and see if the is another channel close to it with an a for alternate and hit select

:upset 2 more years will seem like forever with this company. We ended up sucking it up and keeping one receiver to finish out our contract and got cable back. I wish you the best of luck and hope your troubles are minimum.

i also subscribe to mlb,had to watch a simulator game on computer because wonderful direct was not showing the dodger game.would have dish or cable except they don't offer mlb.hate direct.they lie like a rug.you are paying for a service that they might not show.why is it one day the reds are on one channel the you have to look all over to find them the next day?

dropped direct tv for they never got the monthly billing right and didnt give what they said i would.then on last bill had already taken money from my account without permission.was to have the 29.99 a month deal never saw it once on the bill it was always 75 dollars or bigger. would call but always got the run around with direct tv..and for them to take money out of my account without my permission was wrong but all they said is they have evey right to filed with bbc and with my bank for a account hit without my permission

Directv in Dallas, Texas - Approach with EXTREME caution...

Never in a million years would I recommend anyone to use Direct TV. Absolutely horrible customer service. I called to ask why I had an outstanding balance on my account and they would not let me speak to anyone UNTIL I paid the account. I had to pretend I was ordering new service to speak with an actual person! I cancelled my service early (I thought it was a 12 month contract, not 2 year- read fine print very, very carefully) and hit with outrageous fines. They had sent me this "recovery" kit to send back my receiver, and the carrier loses it in the mail. Even though on the instruction sheet they say to deliver it to the USPS, they REALLY transfer it to FedEx as their carrier. "FedEx" loses my package and according to Direct TV's supervising managers I am still responsible for FedEX losing the receiver and coughing up $200 to replace it. They even tried to SELL ME more products and services when I made it clear I had left them VERY upset at the way they treat customers! Unreal. Buyer Beware.

You're full of *** when you say that we do not treat customers with a past due balance like humans.

True, we cannot make changes to your services, but, to disrespect a customer in that way is just ***.....And, I'm SORRY you no longer work there. It's your loss....

I am sorry about your experience. I worked for that shady company before.

If a customer is past due they are pretty much told to not treat the customer as a human and tell them we doing nothing for you until you pay us or we will send you to collections. They are that greedy.

Directv in Cupertino, California - Direct TV *** Cancellation Policy

When I purchased Direct TV, No company personel or any paper work mentioned that there was NO Cancellation time allowed. Once you get Direct TV, if you wish to cancel you will be charged $460. In other words you are screwed for 24 months. Advise to all - keep away from such companies. Direct TV says they give customers free equipment. They charge $6.00 for eachy receiver per month - free equipment! What are they talking about? Direct TV's cancellation policy sucks. Once they get you, it's all about money - To *** With Customer Satisfaction. I'm going back to DISH NETWORK.

Same thing happened to me!! They sold me a bundle package, phone internet, and cable.

Said it would be around $98 a mont plus tax. Had to give them my debt card info to get that price, so as they could take my payment out every month. Low and behold 2 months later my phone and internet where shut off. Called my phone company and they put me in contact with Direct TV.

I was told by there rep. that it was a bundle package but not bundle payment and that I was responsible to my my own phone bill. Thinking back on my conversation with them in the begining, I questioned if all 3 services where that one price and the rep said yes!

You are saving $69 a month to what you paid before.

Also, was not told that in my area there was no local channels availiable to me.

How can they continue to use thes buisness practices and get away with it. I am calling today to cancelle and knowing it will be a hassle and I will have to pay out the contract....and I am taking the dish off of my house and it is going in the dumpster, since they wont come remove it.

Directv in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Extremely sarcastic, rude technician !!

My complaint is regarding one of the technicians-Scott Mustapich- # 8910. He was very nasty to one of our tenants after he was informed that they were not permitted to drill any holes in the walls. He sat there smirking at her and being very nasty in general even when he was put on the phone with us- the management company. This woman was so upset by his behavior she had to order him to leave her home and then cancelled her entire order and went with Time Warner. The "Customer service " type that answered the phone could not have cared less about this incident. Nice.

Direct TV customer service sucks!! No one person has the same answer and will put you on hold for ever when you ask to speak to a supervisor. We have been having the same problem for one year and they are now telling me that is has only been one month. They need training on how to read and be nice to the customers, cancelling service and will never use them again. After one year you can not receive any more discounts, that is crazy, why would I want to pay more then $100.00 a month for their service, the CEO is loving his pay check

You can receive discounts after your first year you just have to ask for them of course they will not be the same amount but if you read you bill for the first year of your services it does show 12 month discount not 24 month.

Directv in Grand Rapids, Michigan - Installed neighbors dish on my property!

Direct TV took out a fence post and a section of my fence to install neighbors dish! Unbelievable. Wish I could post a picture! When called refused to do anything about it! I have e-mailed customer complaint even... I have asked the neighbors to remove and claim they have called Direct TV to have the dish removed. Of course over a week has passed and no one has showed up to remove the dish, reinstall my fence post and fence section. I need this repaired as soon as possible. I have a man coming to repair the fence and finish off installation so my dogs can use the back yard!

Directv in Santa Clara, California - Direct Tv is the worse company to deal with

I switched from Direct Tv because they took money out of my account before sending me a final bill. And the same thing happened previously with out warning. This seems like a violation of federal law. This is a mickey mouse outfit. Customer service is none existant. When service is terminated they should be required to send a final bill allowing 30 days to pay just like everyone else. They know where I'm at because they sent a package after I switched to another user saying if I don't return their equipment to UPS that they would bill my account $250.00. I don't how legal of fair that is. But people need to be protected from unfair trade practices like this.
