Directv in Stone Mountain, Georgia - False advertisment
I am very pissed with the lies I was told with this company. I was interested in the 24.99 special. I called,and spoke wit a rep. I asked was there any thing thats included,or hidden fees. I was told that with taxes my bill would be 42.99. I received my first bill it was 70.00 dollars. I call directv I was told I had to register on-line to get a rebate. This was the frist lie. I should have been told this with the frist call. I asked was there any thing else. He answered, No. I sign ed on line. I received another bill. This bill was 140.00. I called directv again, I was told I didn't sign up correctly. So, I paid the 70.00 and the rep. said she was going to sign me up. Then I received a bill for 221.31. Two weeks ago my service cut off. I had no problem with paying 42.00 /mo. but 70.00/mo. for cable is not what I signed up for.
Directv in Syracuse, New York - Numerous collection calls every 3hours
weve been receiving numerous phone calls every 3hrs during the week. i believe the debt is valid and we are getting it verified i know it is coming from the computer ,dialer this should be outlawed it is on the *** of harresment . we will pay our debt if it is validated. how can i get these calls ive told them no more phone calls and even wrote a cease and assist letter. please help us sincerely richard and nancy kio phone number we are receiving 866-235-3868 i believe the bill is direct tv you may respond thru my e-mail if you need further information
Directv in Tampa, Florida - Direct TV scam
Direct TV is charging me 50.92 for NFL Gameday daily services supposedly on the card that I returned when I ceased services with them. They called April 10 2011 claiming that I owed them; I requested an itemized bill with the charges. I received the updated bill on April 14, dated April 11; the bill showed 0 charges, 0 late charges! They have now sent me to collections! When I called them they said "sorry, we can't do anything about that and collections will continue to contact you until you pay it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have written to the VP of consumer affairs at direct TV. We'll see if they do anything about it..(I'm doubtful!) Pam Gaffney

Directv misled and overcharged
Directv has a habit of not stating the conditions for service clearly. From the very beginning I was faced with charges that had never been mentioned at sign up. The attorney general's office of the state of Washington sided with me and after much haggling these charges were removed. Now I am told that my monthly bill has doubled and I am obliged to pay them until next March unless I want to pay $200.00 to cancel. When I requested to speak with a supervisor I was left on line for a long time during which a company rep. assured me that I had agreed to everything. I finally had enough and hung up. My advise to everybody: do not deal with this company, they are croocks!!
Directv in Newark, New Jersey - Direct TV Has The Right To Rip Us Off
So because I was late for my $150 bill, DirecTV went into my bank account and charged $700 and cancelled my service without so much a phone call. I only found out because my account went into overdraft and the bank added more fees. Now agreed to put the service back thinking that they were gonna deduct the $150 and return the rest of the money. It's been almost 4weeks and no refund. When I call and the machine asks for my account number... once I enter it, I automatically get disconnected. Can anyone advise me what to do? I Am Burning Mad
Directv in Overland Park, Kansas - Equipment Upgrade
Wanted to upgrade to HD and was hit with many up charges and I was only replacing regular service to HD. Direct TV is replacing 2 dishes with HD ones and charging me an additional $149.00 because they said I only had one dish but when the house was built Direct installed 2 dishes on 2 buildings and didn't charge me then for the additional one so why did they charge me for the additional one now? I've been with DTV for 15 years and I feel that $565.95 is excessive for a 15 year customer.

1)I asked for extension while i am undergoing chemo/radiation. only allowed one in six months,no exceptions.. REALLY????? Why cant they be flexable? 2)what gives them the right to pick my services after the initial trial is up? I didn't ask for what they are charging me for. I am so mad... calling all govmt, county,city places for complaint. 3) on hold for supervisor 45 mins.. REALLY?? whats that say about DirectV? Every rep only wants to collect a payment from me they have billed me things i didn't ask for. Help ME!!! Please
DirecTV Customer Service is Terrible
After 10 years as a DirecTV customer, I now expect poor customer service. You can sign up for anything online but can only discontinue something by talking to customer service, always painful. I just wanted receiver return boxes sent before we move. Seems simple, right? But the only option is to disconnect your service weeks before you actually move so the boxes have time to arrive OR take the receivers with you. You have 21 days once the boxes are sent to return the equipment, or you are charged. They, however, can't guarantee the boxes will arrive as promised.

stay away, I was a customer for 8 years with all the bells and whistles including nfl package. Simply tried to upgrade dish for HD and it became a nightmare. 5 appointments later, they still hadn't managed to install my upgraded dish. When I called repeateldy they were rude, more rude and downright nasty. Never tried to fix their repeated errors simply threatened me with a cancellation fee and paying for 2 more years of service if i cancelled. I had already been a customer for 8 years, why should I pay 2 more years. After I repeatedly reminded them through supervisors that they had already been sued for billing practices, they finally said they would not charge me the 2 extra year fees. They had not completed my upgrade but were still saying I owed them the cancellation fee. I also called three time to warn them not to keep billing my credit card on file as this is there practice if they have your credit card number. After 5-6 calls to a supervisor they did let me cancel and then called me everyday for 14 days straight asking why i cancelled after being such a loyal customer!!!!!!!!!!!
