Directv in Las Vegas, Nevada - Only worried about there payments
1)I asked for extension while i am undergoing chemo/radiation. only allowed one in six months,no exceptions.. REALLY????? Why cant they be flexable? 2)what gives them the right to pick my services after the initial trial is up? I didn't ask for what they are charging me for. I am so mad... calling all govmt, county,city places for complaint. 3) on hold for supervisor 45 mins.. REALLY?? whats that say about DirectV? Every rep only wants to collect a payment from me they have billed me things i didn't ask for. Help ME!!! Please
DirecTV Customer Service is Terrible
After 10 years as a DirecTV customer, I now expect poor customer service. You can sign up for anything online but can only discontinue something by talking to customer service, always painful. I just wanted receiver return boxes sent before we move. Seems simple, right? But the only option is to disconnect your service weeks before you actually move so the boxes have time to arrive OR take the receivers with you. You have 21 days once the boxes are sent to return the equipment, or you are charged. They, however, can't guarantee the boxes will arrive as promised.

stay away, I was a customer for 8 years with all the bells and whistles including nfl package. Simply tried to upgrade dish for HD and it became a nightmare. 5 appointments later, they still hadn't managed to install my upgraded dish. When I called repeateldy they were rude, more rude and downright nasty. Never tried to fix their repeated errors simply threatened me with a cancellation fee and paying for 2 more years of service if i cancelled. I had already been a customer for 8 years, why should I pay 2 more years. After I repeatedly reminded them through supervisors that they had already been sued for billing practices, they finally said they would not charge me the 2 extra year fees. They had not completed my upgrade but were still saying I owed them the cancellation fee. I also called three time to warn them not to keep billing my credit card on file as this is there practice if they have your credit card number. After 5-6 calls to a supervisor they did let me cancel and then called me everyday for 14 days straight asking why i cancelled after being such a loyal customer!!!!!!!!!!!

You should never signup with DirectTV unless you want to pay a different monthly price every month and that is even if you did not order any payperview. I signed up for a package deal of 38 dollars a month which included spanish channels and english channels for 12 months then the price was suppose to go up to 55 a month after the first 12 months. Well my first bill was 38 dollars then a month after I got a bill for 55.67. I call customer service and they couldnt explain to me why I was receiving a bill for that price a month after that it went back down to 38 dollars and then the next month again 55.67. So I decided I didnt want to be part of Direct TV any more so I paid the rediculously high price of 400 dollars for ending their contract. I will never again be a customer for Direct TV neither should you! Dont get ripped off like I did.

Direct TV are a bunch of liars. I had to do an early cancellation because my landlord told me I had to take down the satellite because it wasnt allowed. He also advised another tenant about this. So I called Direct TV after having their services for 10 days and they asked what state I was in and told me that since I did not have the service for a long time they would wave the cancellation fee of 480 dollars. I was happy to hear that I wouldnt be charged and she said I would only owe what services I had used for the 10 days I had the service. I said thank you. I called a few weeks later and spoke to another CSR and he advised me that I only owed 4 dollars and some cents. A month later I was upset to see that 480 dollars were taken out of my bank account from DIRECT TV. I called them and asked them why I was being charged and they said because I had cancelled service and that it was the standard fee. I explained to him I had spoken to 2 other CSR and they had told me everything was taken care of and I would not be charged for the cancellaltion fee. He then put me on hold and called his supervisor. He came back after putting me on hold for 20 minutes and said there was nothing they could do about the charges because they were charges that should have never been taken off. I told them that 2 previous CSR told me everything was taken care of and then He told me that the CSR had given me false information and they should have never told me that it was taken care of and that I was not going to be charged. I told him that this then was an issue on their part but that I needed that money back because their CSR made the mistake to tell me otherwise. They said there was nothing they could do for me. I believe they told me there was nothing they could do like 10 times. I was lied to and ripped off by this company and so will you if you go with direct tv.
STAY AWAY FROM DIRECTV! Switching from comcast was the worst mistake I've ever made!
This is just ridiculous, I live in downtown Chicago & the signal NEVER WORKS! The signal is out all the time & the biggest mistake I've ever made was leaving Comcast to try Directv. It DOESN'T even come close to what I had with Comcast! At least w/ Comcast they fixed your problems at no charge but Directv wants to charge you for everything. The sad part is, I have a 2 year contract with them & it's only been 2 months!! I was given 14 days to change my mind but of course it started acting up after my 2 week trial period was up. I changed because Comcast was raising their prices & I read reviews of people claiming how their service never went out. I've come to the conclusion that the majority of those people MUST WORK FOR DIRECTV. This is the biggest joke I've ever seen & I'd give anything to get out of this contract because I'd crawl on knees back to Comcast.

Had my service for almost 2 years before I became so fed up with their incorrect billing,price increases, programming changes, and undependable signal I gladly paid their early cancellation fee to get rid of them. They,re still trying to duplicate bill me and I'm done. Read their contract before you sign they have the right to do anything and you're agreeing to it up front with them holding your credit card.I had to fight them every month and now I am fighting a credit card charge even though I have a cancelled check they cashed for the final bill. They are not what they claim to be don't be fooled!

Advertisement for the free 3 months' service must have been bogus, because web sites were shut down and I could not enter my account number. Please advise! I received the offer through the mail just today. . . email@example.com This is my further complaint. If the offer I received is not from Directv, I would appreciate it if I could be notified in the future so that I could avoid all the hassel of trying to write exactly 100 words of a complaint that will probably be read by nobody and the offer will be withdrawn even though I am a loyal customer! Also, how many people want to count the words of the complaint so as to fulfill their part of the offer requirements? I get you; you want to make things so difficult for your customers that you want to make your offer invalid no matter what we say. This is sort of like panning for gold in the Nevada desert!
Been a subscriber to DTV's Sports Pack for over 10 years. I also subscribe to the MLB package. This year it seems that the pre-game shows are blacked out on the Fox and Regional sports channels. I called DTV customer service but can't get a straight answer...
Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Google "free air" because DTV overcharges; breaks the law & scams U!
Watch out for Direct Tv, as they are the *** of the earth, they will charge you cash for a new box, then LEASE that same box to you on a monthly basis and everytime you order a LOUSY MOVIE, they slip you back into a 2 year agreement! Remember that they are a UTILITY and cant really ruin your credit. I did a movers connection and they loused everything up! They do this because in the very near future, we will all be able to watch free HBO, STARZ and more off the internet for free w an apple device! there are now many "free air" sites where you can buy a larger dish and get many programs for FREE, I didn't say FREE DTV! But many people are fed up, are wizing up too. In the USA, we here have to pay for signals in the air related to TV, but what about radio? Isn't that free when you're cruising down the road. So technically IT IS a "grey area". FTA or "free to air" is growing everyday, just google it!
