Hi direct tv I purchased your entire package and come to find out that you play the same shows everyday, I mean can you at least play some old movies too on the movie channels. I am so disappointed with you guys you really need to add more movies to your channels, instead of playing the same movie EVERYDAY! I was upset that I had nothing to do on the weekend and I turned on the tv and come to find out they played the same thing that I watched the day before. I would be a very satisfied customers if you would play more interesting movies. You guys can play NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST (all the episodes), OLDER MOVIES, AND SOME NEW MOVIES. I don't really think its hard for a company to want to satisfy their customers, if only they can apply themselves.
Directv in Midway, Kentucky - Wasted Time Trying to get Information
Moving in 3 wks. Wanted to compare Direct, Dish and Insight. Told rep I was not ordering tonight. She hung up within a couple of minutes. Called back and asked for a non-commision rep. No luck. Not one of my few questions was answered directly but deflected into a sales pitch. I felt unheard and disrespected. Judge my questions. Exactly what do I get for the 24.99 in your ad? Is DVR more and how much? How much will it cost after 1 yr promotion? How much after 2 years? How much is your internet & phone bundle? (its $15 off but we can't tell you how much until you sign up) Yes. Right.
Directv refused to credit me for payment
Paid online for monthly service. System did not give me credit. However bank statement and bank records show it was taken from my checking account. Bank faxed proof of this to them. However, they still refused to credit my account and interrupted my service. They took me for $90. Bank said mine was the third such complaint/problem against Directv this week. They also warned me that when I cancel service with them, they will charge $50 cancellation fee. Will discontinue service with them after I have exhausted everything I can to get refund or the credit I paid for!
DirecTV, One Big Misleading Scam
My quoted package was $70 for the 1st 6 mo's, $94.99 after. Cheaper than Comcast so I approved the switch. Saved the notes from the day I called. First bill was almost $150. I called & asked what happened and the rep actually said "We never quoted you that price". With an early CX fee of $120, I was stuck. The day I cancelled my service, my CX fee was magically increased to over $400. Add to it that I was charged for Showtime and other services that I never ordered and were not a part of my package.
Directv in Gallup, New Mexico - Direct TV Scam
I was scammed by Direct TV on October 25, 2010. They gave me a small cost per month ($7 I think, but certainly less than $10) for five months of movie channels " because I was such a good costumer". They then said they would include the NFL package. as we had auto pay from our credit card, my wifr did not check the bills until this March. She noticed a $64.99 charge for NFL package. I called Direct Tv and was told that was the offer and that I would now be charged $114 a month for the movie channels. They did cancel that, but had to buy a new plan as taking this promo cancelled the plan I was on, which they also failed to mention. When I asked to prove to me that I had agreed to this promo at $64.99 a month they said they could not, but that was what it was. In other words, TOO BAD. They did give me a number to call at the call center that call me in October. Its busy. Has anyone else had this problem? Mark Gartner
Directv in Cleveland, Ohio - Direct tv wont accept my calls to cancel service
my wife called to see about canceling our service with direct tv. she got the run around for a quite a while on the phone at first they said it was going to cost double what their advertising states , finally a " claudia " stationed in india we reasoned answered her questions. the next day i called to cancel but i couldnt get through theywould delete the call half way along their automated call system. i think it was deliberate.if they don't talk to us we cant cancel. we will keep trying and we will not ever use direct tv again, gbills
Directv in Los Angeles, California - No fox sport channel
I was lead to believe that fox sport channel was part of the package I was buying. It was not and now they want $12 more per month to give me that channel plus a lot of other channels that I don't want. The free introductory offer off premium channels was nice, but not necessary for me. I called direct tv and they would not let me order just the one channel but wanted me to pay for a complete sports package. The other providers provide fsc as part of their standard offering and it is the little details like this that makes one leary when they change to a different provider.

direct tv recentley my screen sige has changed some channels are full screen the others are in panoramic i called customer service they said that was the way the signal is sent out funny they said it was in my tv set that the screen size will not change i believe the signal is in hidef and since i do not have a highdef reciver my tv will not show full screne is anyone else having a similar problem? funny as of last week everything was fine i have 2 tv. bothare vizios one is a 42 in. one is a 32in.please let me know if someone else is having problem contact me firstname.lastname@example.org
Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Charge customers for staff incompetence
I am a new customer to Direct TV and was solicited by Qwest for a package deal of TV and phone. I was told twice that my bill would total about $55 per month. I got my first bill today for $94.58, in which $72.43 was for Direct TV. I called Qwest to complain about the error and they informed me that they could not adjust it, but to speak to Direct TV. I called Direct TV and explained the error and was told that I did not apply for the discount before installation and Qwest would have to do the adjustment. I informed the person I spoke to that I was not apprised of this procedure until after the installation was made, when I received a letter from Direct TV. They said that Qwest should have done it. I then went on line and had a *** of a time trying to get confirmation thru my e-mail and finally convinced a rep to do it manually, which she did and gave me a confirmation number of #DZLV39850969. Today I told this convoluted story to a rep, Samantha, who insisted that I would still have to pay this amount even if I was not informed by anyone of the procedure. I did manage to speak on a three-way call with the Qwest people also, because I was being put in the middle of incompetence on both sides. Samantha informed me that there was nothing she could do to adjust this bill and I would have to pay it. When I insisted that I should not be responsible for the company's error, she hung up on me and the Qwest rep (Jennifer). Jennifer was gracious enough to get another rep, Mark, and tried to make an adjustment in future payments; however, Mark said he could not do that either, even though Qwest was amenable to do something, recognizing that I was being put in the middle and having to pay the price of the companyies errors
Directv in Naples, Florida - Direct TV - *** reception & 24 month contract
Direct TV is not all that their advertising says they are. My TV's pause for no reason, when it rains there is no reception and their boxes are garbage. In 12 months I've had to replace them 2 times each time they charge $20.00 shipping. There is also no local service center. I canceled the service before the 24 month contract period and they're going to charge me $20.00 per month for the unused months. This company is a rip off. Knowing what I do now I would not have anything to do with them!!!!!!!
