Directv in Monroe, Louisiana - Direct tv lied about a $100.00 credit
i called direct tv to see about using their services, I ordered them and they brought the wrong eguipment, so I called then and told them about the misshap, and that the installers said it would be a $75.00 fee to put dish on pole because i have a metal roof. I also informed them I was going to have to pay Dish network because of early termination, and had taken half a day off work and would have to agian when they came back out with the correct products. I was put on hold and the tech. came back and said he would give me a $100.00 dollar credit. gues what no credit and they can see where i was given one. i am so mad that I was lied to and they are not honoring their promise. I tried to cancel and they said I was bond by contract, I had not even laid my eyes on three days after instalation. I hate dealing with liars they told me what I wanted to here to get my buisness and did not honor it after they had it.
Directv in Sulphur, Louisiana - Wrong Treatment of Established Clients
I've had Direct TV for 9 Years, At my first residence I only had one hook up, when I moved I had one Hook up. Direct TV some years ago, offered 4 rooms, hook ups, but for an established customer it's an additional cost. They now offer Free HD for life, but for an established customer, it's an additional 10.00 fee. theres no secret long time customers pay more for Direct TV. You pretty much have to turn it off to get a better price. Consumer Rip Off. Why can't adjustments be made for all customers.
DirecTV chareges $200 to cancel service they can't provide!
- DIRECTV CHARGE ME $200.00 TO CANCEL HD SERVICE THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE! I was DirecTV custmer for 6 years. Last year I bought a HD TV set and upgraded to an HD DVR. Last month I moved to get closer to work to a community to which -DIRECTV COULD NOT PROVIDE HD SERVICE! They could provide standard defintion through a third party company called MDU. -STANDARD DEFINITION PRODUCES A GRAINY IMAGE ON HD TV SET! So I had DirecTV come out to see if they could install a HD dish at my apartment. -DIRECTV COULD NOT INSTALL AN HD RECEIVER AT MY APARTMENT! -THE HD DVR WOULD NOT WORK AT MY LOCATION! I talked to both DirecTV's and the third party provider's and they was no way I could get HD service at my new apartment. The DirecTV customer service agent told me that I would not be charge an early cancellation fee. I cancelled the the DirecTV service. -TWO WEEKS LATER I GOT A BILL WITH A $200.00 EARLY TERMINATION FEE! Yesterday called DirecTV's customer service to have the fee removed. I was told that the customer service agent I talked to originally was mistaken and the fee was valid. I called back today to speak to a manager. She told me the same thing. DirecTV placed me under a 2 year service agreement to upgrade to HD service. Although DirecTV could not provide HD service to my residence, The ealry termination fee was still applicable. The termination fee would not be removed. - DIRECTV CHARGE ME $200.00 TO CANCEL HD SERVICE THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE!

I don't know if this does any good writing this complaint or not. I'm not going to get into everything but direct tv is the worst company I have ever delt with in my life.They don't try and resolve any problems you have at all.So that's why we cancelled with them and will never use their service again even if they are the only cable provider left.It all started when the tech was about 2 hours lat for the install. he told me after he was here for a while they gave him the wrong equipment so he would have to come back a second day. So I missed another day of work. They went up on our prices after a year I believe. Every time I called they would not resolve any problem in any way. After I cancelled service and pay the final bill I recieve a call saying I owed additional money that was not on the final bill. It was s fight they said I ordered over a year and a half ago and are going to make me pay. That's just bits and pieces of the problems I had with them!

I ordered Direct TV because my daughter ordered it a week before and they offered the refer friends and family incentive. When I called to place the Direct TV order, the person I spoke with stated to call back with the account information for the friends and family referral when my service was activated. I did exactly that and I was denied the offer. They said it was because I bundled my services with AT&T. What a great way to start off our new service! I was given incorrect information by Direct TV and I was the one who was punished for it. I will not referral anyone as it seems this incentive program is a joke!
Directv in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Over charged me greatly
this is the worst company ever. i pay ninety dollars a month for H.D channels and when i went to go order a movie that came with the package with my receiver, it told me that this was unavailable. so i realized that i was paying 10 extra dollars a month adding up to 200 dollars for the time that i had it. then, when i looked up why it wouldn't let me order this movie, it said that i had to buy a whole new receiver! i am very extremely upset with the service i was given.

I am NOT getting what I signed up for and now I'm told it would cost me $400.00 to cancel. This is Fraud!!!! I wish I had never heard of Direct TV. They are the ones that sent me what they were offering, I didn't call & ask for it. Can't do ANY thing in my bedroom but watch the TV. The techs that came out said they set me up with the wrong receiver, not by their choice but what was given to them to hook up, and they could Not do anything without a supervisor telling them to hook me up with what I already signed up for. I asked when I sighed up for her to tell me exactly how much it would cost with taxes & everything they add on & she did. I have yet to get that amount charged to me...... it's been $15.00 or more and I'm a New customer. I have to call ever month and they just hooked me up they say Sept. 26, 2010. call direct TV told them cant afford premium channel ask to go back to basic. 15 min later they finally let me for $39.00,then 2 weeks later we order a movie and a representative said we could get all premium channels for $69. then got my bill for $162 call and ask why ? they said i never changed are package.told them then why for 1 month i had basic Tv they said i never order basic TV, explained about the package they offer for $69 again they stated don't know and don't see anything on your account.direct TV is the biggest scam!
