Directv in Caldwell, Texas - Direct TV is a Rip Off!
I have been a customer with Direct TV since 12/2007. I got a letter in the mail stating my receiver needed to be updated. I called and they sent a svs tech out a week later. I then opened ANOTHER account at my mothers house 12/2009. My mother became ill and is no longer at the household. I called Direct TV to get the account witdrawed. They said they would charge me a termination fee of 220.00. EVEN tho I have another account STILL opened since 2007. You would think they could take into consideration that we have been a paying customer since 2007. I then said, "then just cancel our order and transfer my mothers cable to our house and we would continue from there." They said, "We can't do that because when you upgraded you satellite your contract started all over again!" WOW They never mentioned that in the letter that was sent out. WHAT THE ***? Directv in Herndon, Virginia - Withdraws from acct without consent
direct tv took $409.00 out of my account without any; warning. no bill, no phone call, nothing. i tried calling to find out why and how they charged my account. i was dissconnected 4 times over 4hours waiting to talk to a surperviser. they only answer i received was sorry and the bill is in the mail. warnning if u have ever paid with any card i would cancel it, they will find a reason to bill you and you will not be informed. after this incient took place i went to bbb and found out there is over 45,000 complaints and they r rated F.
Directv in Kingwood, Texas - Rebate promise is a lie! They refused my valid rebate
I referred a friend to direct tv and they refused giving me (or the person I referred any credit because he did not have my account number at the time of order- although he did give them my name and service address (which at the time of order)and they STILL refused to give me the rebate. I feel the entire rebate program is a giant scam and do not appreciate being lied to and "gotten" on a technicality. In good faith, I referred a friend and in good faith- they should honor their rebate program. I have been with Direct t.v 5 years but will cancel now.
Directv in Valdosta, Georgia - Direct Tv yet to return money.
I have been trying for a month to get my money back. First story was 3-4 days from cancellation. Then 30 days. Now the story is 60-65 from time of cancellation date. Even though money was taken out of my account after cancellation. They have me screwed up at my bank. I want my money back!!! $221.35, I believe they crooks and something needs to be done. If they can take money out in 1 day there is no reason it cant be put back in 1 day. Please someone help me. Dirct Tv are crooks. HELP

I recently suspended my service due to a unexpected move. I was on the phone with direct TV twice about my situation. the last phone call.. to change my address.. i was told there would be a $50 fee because i ended my agreement 5 months shy of 2 years. no biggie.. i wanted to go back so i took the hit.the agent i spoke to while changing my address completely hacked it up. UPS called and left a message that they have my return boxs however dont know where to send them. when i got the UPS manager on the phone later that evening he told me that he spoke with another agent on the phone and my box would be shipped back to direct TV until someone from the company called me within the next two days to fix the error that their agent made. Two days later i noticed the company went into my bank account and withdrew $230.00 without a notice. two days after that i was in the red over $500 because checks could not clear and my bank paid out on it anyways. when i called direct tv about the situation the agent was quick to try to get me off the phone. i refused.. i wanted a supervisor. 10 minutes on hold later i got the first supervisor. a woman that took everything i said personal. i was speaking with her for 25 minutes. i asked to speak to another supervisor or her manager.she said she was as high as it gets and there is not another supervisor working. she ended the call with me before i was through. of course i called back. surprise! i got a completely different supervisor to take my call.. again 20 mins later i was told he does not have a manager i could speak with.they don't take calls..well what do they do then.. they have a "president office" he tells me.. yet i would need to write to them no 800 number he said.. i feel like both supervisors took my anger as a personal attack towards them.. they did not want to help me nor assist me in the right direction. horrible customer service skills.. i am a laid back woman. i have also been in customer service for 7 years.. i know how call centers work..they have agents, supervisors, managers, asst directors and then the director of the dept. why i couldn't get the address to the presidents office was crazy.. i was told to google it. all i wanted was direct TV to make this situation right. there agent took my address wrong.. he also feed me bs to just get me off the phone as quickly as he could and now i have to swallow a negative bank account for the holidays?? great work guys!!..
Directv in Wyoming, Minnesota - Direct Tv false advertizes and puts you on a 2yr agreement without the true product promised
I ordered the NFL package with Cinemaplus that I was told that I could get any movie on Cinemaplus free. Not true, after 2 hours of playing around trying to program the DVR come to find on their blog that the HR24 DVR model I have isn't compatible. I have whole room DVR which negates the cinemaplus ethernet download to my router. I need to get a connection kit for $25 and a $50 installation charge. I also am charged $5 for each receiver in the house. Dish Network didn't need a receiver on every TV to have satellite in all the rooms. Bill is a lot more than dish and service isn't any better...now I am stuck in a two year contract!!!!
Directv in Eden Prairie, Minnesota - Worst Company I have ever dealt with
Directtv's service is so bad they cant even get their new customers installation done without *** them off so bad they cancel the order. We tried to get our installation done for almost a month. They work with subcontractors that will not even return your phone call,including the owner of the company. Called 3 different people for 2 weeks without even a return call. All 3 phones went directly to voice mail any time of day.When you call Directtv's customer service department and ask for a supervisor they put you on hold for 10 mins. and then come back and say they are transfering you now. Guess what you get voice mail. No surprise that the supervisor doesnt want to talk to you.
Directv in Saint Louis, Missouri - Direct Tv - Into Collection before Statement
Middle of sept. 2010 I canceled my direct service and sent the equipment back (they got it) on 9/18 statement, a final bill of $1 amount due and paid it - 9/25 statement, shows $83.09 credit no payment due - 10/18 statement, $84.09 credit no payment due - 11/18 statement, shows a Programming Adjustment on 11/15 for $244.09 less the credit leaving $160.00 amount due - I recieved this statement on 11/22 so I called, only to find out it went to a collection agency on 11/19 three days before I recieved the statement - I went as far as I could by phone only to find out that they did'nt know why the statements were incomplete, there was no one else to talk to and "the accounting office is just a Big Machine that prints out statements" - I guess the machine opens my envelopes and enters in the data too - what kind of Programming Adjustment for $244.09 could I have recieved with no service and no equipment for 2 months - I'm in collection over a bill I never recieved and all they can say is "thats unfortunate for you" - Is there no one to talk to - How can we stop this company from being a legal bully - Retired Jim with no Christmas this year - Thanks -
Directv in Dallas, Texas - Direct TV Bad Business Practice for not refunding deposit
Direct TV is refusing to refund the $205 remainder of the $300 deposit I paid. They are, also, trying to collect an additional $176 for early cancellation from me. I think this is completely unethical and a very poor business practice. I should have known there would be issues with the horror stories I heard from other people, but there customer service was so good in the beginning I chose not to believe it. Had I known how horrible they would be when I had to relocate for my job, I would have NEVER used there service. They have a horrible business ethic.
Directv in Lampasas, Texas - Why Don't Technicians have Technology?
My cable was cut off although I had paid my bill, and even though I provided proof of a confirmation number(and proof of bank transaction)the Tech still cut me off. He then told me that they don't have access to see if a customer has paid. ( My fault or theirs)? Then Comcast told me I had to pay an additional $130.00 to be turned back on. Oh no thanks!! I will give Direct TV the 10 years I just gave Comcast. You will continue to loose valuable customers with that type of system. Thanks to you
