Directv in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Cancelation fee of $376 for 4 days of bad service!

I canceled my direct TV service after 4 day sof bad service. I called and was told by 2 individuals that I would not be charged a late fee and that in PA there was a 15 day window to cancel if you were not happy with the service I was not happy, I canceled and ended up seeing a 376.01 charge on my bank account. I called and was told to dispute the charge with my bank however the woman I spoke to said I would be refunded the money within one month. A month later no money and I called back ... called and waited 3 seperate times after they hung up on me 2 times after putting me on hold for over 30 minutes each time. Then was told I will not be refunded if I wasn't already and there is no 15 cancelation window if you are not happy with the service. a man named Louie who claimed to be a supervisor with an ID number of 424713 was extremely rude and basically said oh well... you're not getting your money back and would not transfer me to anyone else. I dont think me canceling after 4 days and not wanting to be charged a late fee is uncalled for .... There should be a civil lawsuit filed against them for how much money they scam from people for no good reason... some poeple probably don't even notice. Just awful bad business

I have the protection plan and they told me it’s on there end there is a problem with the wireless boxes so if I want someone to come out I have to pay that’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard I’ve been with them forever and I’m ready to move on I spend more time trying to get mine to work it just not worth my time anymore

Directv in Oroville, California - Direct TV misleads customers

I signed up for direct tv 3 months ago, at the time of the purchase the representative told me that " You will have 12 months for $24.99". The representative DID NOT told me that after the promotion was over, I was going to pay $60 for the next year. I find out the hard way!! I called direct TV and explained to them that I was not aware of the 24month contract but NOONE seem to care!!! Directv in Humble, Texas - Taking money out of my account that I do not owe. Keeping double payments.

I have received horrible customer service from Direct TV. I called up to ask a question and they said I made a payment over the phone and took $5.30 out of my account, but I already had automatic debit in place for a year. I requested they return the pay by phone fee and a customer service guy said I did pay by phone. So I said, then cancel the automatic payment and stop taking money out of my account. So i paid by check and then they cashed the check and still took out a payment from my account and now they can't refund the double payment. They can take money out of my account but are totally unable to credit it back. They try to get every penny they can even by lying, and then say they record the conversation for customer service review. ????

Directv in Hailey, Idaho - Satellite Direct TV mislead me. Saw an ad for a live football match and one off fee.

After installing the match I wanted was not there but an offer to upgrade and pay monthly was. Very misleading and tricky. Wanted to Fulham v Manchester United. I saw watch Fulham vs Manchester United Live. Satellite Direct $49.95 one off special offer. Installed and paid. Once on I looked on for the match, NOT THERE!!!. Then I saw a special offer to upgrade for more channels for $4.95. So I pushed that link and the link started to ask for payment fair enough, but then I read that was first month and then it would be $9.95 A MONTH THEREAFTER. It said we could cancel, but I have been down that route before it just does not happen, so I did not upgrade. Would like money back but why bother, they will give me run around like all these schemes do. Satellite Direct is not the way forward for me!!! By the way I sent an email when I could not find match last night and they said it would be 24 to 48 hours to reply. Of course match was before this time frame and guess what still not heard. I personally do not reccomend this service

Directv in Santa Maria, California - DirectTV broke our agreement, now punishing me.

I was a >3 yr DirecTV customer in good standing. They stopped providing Versus channel and posted a lame excuse on that channel. I waited >6 months and saw no change. I fired them (3/2/10) and explained why. They had 2 customer svc reps call me to change my mind. I said, "No Versus, no $$!" I found out from my sister that 2 weeks later they resumed providing Versus. They didn't call me, email me, or write me. They sent weekly snail mail offers for me to return because I was such a good customer. I called them today. They want another 2 year contract for me to return. They broke the agreement and want me to pay for their incompetence! Not smart, not honorable, and I'm buying gold with the money I would have sent them!

Directv in Laurel, Mississippi - Service Direct TV . New dish and receiver installed 8/21/2010 reeciver failed 8/21/2010

Dish & receiver installed 9:00 a.m. Saturday 8/21/irect TV. Receiver failed 10:30 a.m. Tried all day to have someone call to switch out receiver. It was a Saturday. No one called. I tried three times each time they were going to give message to service. Gave them home phone and cell phone numbers. They finally called at 6 o'clockp.m. to say they were closed until Monday 8/23. No TV from Saturday to who knowns when.I paid a $75.00 installation fee for new dish & receiver failed with a message on my tv screen that read Hardware Failed. Message 799. I strongly advise DO NOT BUY Dirfect TV. How can equipment fail within one hour of installation.

first of all i apoligize for directv doing that to you. You should have been sent a replacement ird immediately rather than submitting a request for the home office to call you. I hope you did get your issue fixed.

Directv in Branson, Missouri - Poor service

Direct TV has been aweful to work with. We recently moved locations and called and set up an appointment to have our direct tv installed at the new home. We waited noon to 4 and no one ever showed up or called. Then when we called to see what happened we were told, the tv man called and no one answered. So he just didn't show!! They called our old number which was still on file. If it is your business to call before you show up then the company should make sure they have the updated number! Why does the coustomer have to work around the provider. I'm paying for the service!!! I should not be given a 4 hour window I can understand 2 hours at most.

Same thing here only worse. I reloacated across county.

I set up an appointment to get my service going again. No show. Called customer service who told me someone had attempted to contacted me (big lie) and my installayion was put on hold becuase the installer was overbooked. Customer service rescheduled for TWO WEEKS later.

Guess what happened again? No show. Same drill. Someone had attempted to contact me...(right) this time becuase they were out of equipment.

I cancelled my service after the customer service rep said it would be another three weeks before they could get to me. Now they want to charge me for service since the day I placed my installation order.

Is that legal? Is there any recourse?

Sam thing happened to me today. The inept driver said he left a "door tag" whixh was false and said he called.

False again. All retarded liars at Direct TV but fml I just want to watch football.
