Directv in Colorado Springs, Colorado - I didnt get my rebate that I sent in

.I sent my rebate in march right after receiving it. was told it was a 90 day rebate and mine didnt qualify it was there on time they said but didnt have my account number on it so it was invalid and no good. I did not receive the account number till i got my first bill, so I should get the rebate ive talked to supervisor named twila said to get ahold of customer care so thet can credit my account. please take care of this i would appreciate it. i have made several calls on this matter and im getting no where.

This is not a site to find someone to fix your problems. This is a site to share your experiences. I would suggest continuing to call, and ask for supervisors, and their supervisors, until you get someone with the authority to issue the rebate to keep a customer happy.

Directv in Dallas, Texas - Direct TV lies and steals your money

I have been a directtv customer for almost 7 years - though 2 moves. I have been overall neutral/somewhat pissed about their services - rebates that never appeared, intermittent service outages, sometimes sketchy customer service, etc. However this instance takes the case and makes me want to write to everyone I know, customers and those who are thinking of subscribing to direct tv and tell them to step away. I recently did a bundle with ATT in order to save money on tv, wirelsss and internet. Backstory, in January when canceling some premium channels, I was talked into trying the HD receiver from Direct TV for 6 months free. At that time I was assured I could cancel after anytime and I was not under contract (because come on, a contract for TV? Ridiculous). So I agreed to try it - my mistake. When the installer came out, he could not actually set up the receiver as a DVR because of the way Direct TV initially wired the house - their mistake 1 & 2. So I agreed to settle for a regular HD receiver. It was fine. I don't really care about HD nor even really notice a difference. in May I canceled a DVR in another room and lowed my programming plan. At that time, I spoke with another representative who again assured me the HD received could be canceled at anytime (and in fact I considered canceling everything at that time, but I was talked out of that - my mistake). So back to today - I called to cancel my direct tv service as ATT Uverse and bundle is up and running just fine. Now all of a sudden, they want to charge me $360.00 for early cancellation of my satellite box. An early cancellation of a contract that I never agreed to, and would never have agreed to complete. I spoke to 2 customer service reps who were arrogant idiots, one supervisor who was also completely unhelpful. I had them send me the contract that supposedly covers this, and I will take it to my attorney. And then I canceled the additional boxes and lowered my package until I get some legal advice as to my rights. And meanwhile I will advise everyone to stay far away from Direct TV and their scams.

:cry I don;t even have an account with them and paid it for my ex boyfriend with my credit card and that was in june of 10, his service was disconnected and they took 210 out of my checking accnt. When i called them and told them my name wasn;t on the direct tc accnt and i wanted my money back they refused to give it back.

I am goign through my bank to get it back, but if they cant do something about this i will close out my bank accnt and refuse to deal with banks ever again. If i were working with cash or money orders this would never had happened. If the bank can hold every penny i make they should protect as well.

FIGHT BACK ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. This is not my fault ot the account holder who had the service with direct, which is they told me to call with the problem, i dont even have a number for them any more :(

Direct tv just billed us for pay per view. Saying we owe them some money for channels we dont know about.

Our recievers has always said no purchases because we dont use ppv.

A friend of mine said, "if it doesnt say what it is then its ***." Which i have no reason to go to *** on direct tv. I have a computer for that if i wanted to.

Disconnecting form Quest and Direct TV is horrible. You make 1 phone call to connect and bundle and then you have to make multiple calls to disconnect. I an now receiving a bill for 3 months of billed service on a home that I have not lived in for over a year. I disabled the quest and all was great so I thought however the Direct TV did not stop and was billing the address with no body living there. They said Quest should have put me to through to Direct TV which they did not and now they are refusing to wave the 3 months of service to a vacant property. I will ever use Quest or Direct TV again. They are horrible to work with and will not listen to what you are telling them!!!

Directv in Dallas, Texas - Harrassed by customer service (jason)

Any chance of Direct T.V getting us back as customers has been lost by Jason. I called just to remove our name from their mailing list, we have been receiving mailings since we switched to another cable company and I wanted to stop receiving the junk mail. I called Direct T.V and spoke with Jason (probably a bogus name) he refused to listen to me & went on and on about why we needed to come back to Direct T.V. I totally understand wanting to get customers back but calling this guy aggressive would be an understatement, our conversation was total harassment on his part, I must have said no 10 times and at one point was going to just hang up, I finally told him if he couldn't help me then to please put a manager on the phone, he said since it was going to take 15 minutes to get the manager on, then I had time to listen to what Direct T.V had to offer me. ARE YOU JOKING DIRECT T.V ?? He put me on hold for 10 minutes, then came back on and said it would take another 15 minutes... I told him I would wait and after about another 5 minutes of being on hold, he hung up on me. No surprise there. I called back and did talk to a manager (not from his call center) she did apologize and say they do train their employees to be aggressive but it sound as if he had taken it a little too far. Ya think so ?? I will NEVER EVER go back to Direct T.V for that reason alone !!

The *** we put ourselves through just to watch lousy TV programs. Maybe an outdoor hobby would involve a little less hassle.

Directv in Los Angeles, California - Direct TV Terrible service

I had used Direct Tv's service for several years. After deciding to cancel service, one of their 'customer service/sales people' sold me ona a different package. After a few days of this service I decided to cancel. I sent back the dvr and cancelled. After a few months I realized they were still billing me. Also, I had a balnce owed. When I finally called to set things straight, they sent me a bill for $330 for early cancellation. This incompetent and inept company would not discuss the wrongs done here, only that I owed them $330. I would love to let them ***%&*** themselves, but they'll send to collections and I don't want my credit screwed.

d tv used to be good i went to att and never looked back now they d tv is making u sign a contract for 2yrs to lock u in at att no contract leave when u want and u get more for your money when u bundle

Directv misleads customers to get them to sign up

Directv mislead me into wrong information when I signed up. they promised that I could call in and receive lower rates once my initial lower rates ran out. The quote was "we want our existing customers to be able to receive the same rates as our new ones". That is a lie. Now I locked into another year at a huge increased price with no way to get out. On top of tat, I was just charged $50 for someone to come reallign their faulty product that got screwed up in a windstorm. Speaking of windstorms, our tv has went out about 15 times in the last year b/c of weather. I was a happy directv owner until the new marriage bliss wore off. Stick with cable.

On August 1, 2010, I contacted DIRECTV for their special cable service, which was installed on August 1st. I was very disappointed in their service and asked for a cancellation two days later.

I was told that I was already in a 24-month contract and that I am going to incur cancellation fees in the amount of about $400. On August 17th, I received a bill for $417.43. I returned all their equipment. I was never told of the cancellation fee when I was ordering service or that I would be in a binding 24-month contract which I could not change without cancellation fees.

I need your help in this matter because this is going to ruin my credit - especially since I only had 2 days of service. Thank you.

Directv in Little Rock, Arkansas - My bills are outrageous

I would like copies of all my statements from January till now. i have been paying over 150.00 to 250.00 a month in the last 4 months how can my bill be so high. each time i pay i am told i need to pay full balance before i can be reconnected. so i due and yet you still have me down as past due. i feel you are ripping me off expectually when my original bills are supposed to be around 110.00 dollars my husband and i are furious and getting ready to go with someone else unless our bills be what they should be. also we are ready to call the attorney general

I have been on the phone with Direct Tv for 3 hours this morning after having my service cut off for not paying for a HD box I returned to them that didn't work. I tracked the box.

Fed Ex sent a fax to them saying it was delivered and signed for and I am still being billed. I am exhausted from automated to *** representatives I have spoken to. I do not know what to do. Did you contact the Attorney General?

What was your outcome? I plan to do the same ASAP.

Directv in Vivian, Louisiana - Direct TV = no customer service

After calling 5 1-800 #s, no one could help with DVR service request. Each referred me to an additional 1-800. 3 of the 1-800 numbers were automated, 1 rep transferred me to a person, who after 4 minutes, did not accept the call. The last call, in the middle of stating the problem... I heard a dial tone. Only one person apologized for my trouble, the one that hung-up on me. Internet site is helpful only if one is requesting NEW service. Have used Direct over 10 years and am looking for another provider. Direct TV has no customer service. These were 1-800 #s, but my time is very valuable. Bypass this provider!

PS -- I have JUST GOT to share THIS with all of you!!!! A few years back, there was a HUGE hurricane down South, and, WOULD YOU BELIEVE, Direct TV did a commercial!!!!

I laughed SO HARD, I PI$$ED my pants!!!! Here, amidst ALL the DEVASTATION, the people "reported" that EVEN THOUGH their POWER WAS OUT, they were STILL ABLE to get DIRECT TV!!!!!! DUH????? If the power was OUT -- HOW THE *** could your TV WORK?????

I emailed the company about that and -- guess what NEVER received a response !!!!! DUH, wonder WHY!!!!! THAT commercial for DIRECT TV DIDN'T last long!!! Guess they figured that people are TOTALLY *** AND GULLIBLE and WOULD BELIEVE their commercial that WITHOUT ELECTRICITY they could STILL get Direct TV Service on their TV -- BUT were SURPRISED that people DID pick up on THEIR TOTAL STUPIDITY!!!

Wonder if Direct TV sued the advertising company for that TV ad campaign????? UNFORTUNATELY, we'll NEVER know!!!!

Directv in Atlanta, Georgia - Will not fix equipment and charging debit card

Direct TV has not had good service since i got the system they have awful customer service and their equipment does not work if you try to change the charge you 400.00 for early cancellation fee. they make me pay them to fix their equipment. they are rude and i hate them... they will not fix any problems i have called them numerous times about the dvr and i wanted to upgrade to hdtv they want to charge me 500 dollars this is *** and i will never recommend this company to anyone. i reallly hate them and now i am stuck someone needs to handle them.

Yeah. Getting the error 771A.

Guess this has to do with the little converter box with the green light. It must be defective, but dirctv wants me to pay a monthly coverage fee or pay a one time fee to send a tech. I didn't break it........it's defective. You'd think that this equipment would be under warranty while I'm under contract.

Maybe I'm paying for second hand *** that was already used. That better not be the case. Why in the *** should I have to pay for faulty equipment while I'm under contract. That's like a land lord telling the renter to fix the *** furnace themselves.

That extra 5.99 that they are getting from me till August is going to cost them a lot more once I'm gone. Hope it's worth it!
