Hello forum - My name is Andrew Byrd. I am the one in which the guy is referencing in the email.

I am the DIRECTV dealership in question. This guy is an ex disgruntled contractor and is making every effort to discredit me. He never showed on time for his jobs, he stole materials off the truck and was a very dishonest contractor. Customer complaints were numerous.

I had to stop using him to try and keep our good reputation alive. As you can see, he kept his word in one area - he said he was going to complain and make stuff up on every board he could find.

Feel free to email me or call me regarding this matter. Andrew Byrd cs@satelliteactivations.com 678-710-8330

Direct TV's advertising has in the FINE print on the BACK side of their flyers that the equipment lease term is for 2 years. However, they do not mention this to you on the phone AT ALL. I have a 1-year lease at my new house. I would never, never sign up for a...

Same here we moved to Alaska and our property owner would not let us install a satelite. I like the tv service itself and would of kept it.

They billed my cc without my knowledge or consent for 370.00 which caused me to have 6 overdraft fees from my bank.

Now they say I didnt mail them my receiver and remote and are charging me another 120.00. I mailed it two weeks ago.If you get direct tv do not pay with a credit/debt card.

Directv in Columbus, Ohio - I think they are crooks

i had direct over two years.about one and a half years i added a box.they said i started a new contract at that time.nobody said a word about a new contract. but after over two years i went with a local cable company. now they want to charge me a fee of 160.00 for breaking there so say contract. crooks crooks crooks. i thought if you were a honest company you would have these things up front and out in the open. not hide in small print on paper.which i am sure they have. good sign of what i call crooks.

I am VERY unhappy with the change in music channels on DirectTV from XM/Sirius to Sonic. The channels may still play the same genre of music but the selections suck. The Bridge and Watercolors were two of the best stations I'd ever heard and the replacements...

Directv in San Diego, California - Direct TV

I have been a suscriber since 2006. At first, I had no complaints. Now I have a million. The Quality of the customer service especially using overseas agents. They are no help. I had one rep proceeded to cuss me out literally. Then how they no longer handle issues, just pass the buck. Or demand money, that is it. We have issues when we moved the installer, was a complete *** our dish sits on center blocks where children or pets could come in contact with it. It took them months to never fix the issue. Just apologize. This is on going with then since 2008. Any issues other than money, Direct Tv wont handle it.

Directv in Longmont, Colorado - Direct TV Over Charges

I have finally run out of my contract with Direct TV. (47 more day) I moved and they did not set up the account and they were 7 days late in moving the service and then they charged me. Then I only needed some of the units and have tried to return on of them for three months and then they charge me for the receiver. Took them a month to correct that. Then they charged me for a sports program they have and I did not order. Be careful if you do business with them. Look at the other reviews. Comcast seems to be a better buy.

I took them up on the offer of 29.99 a month. Then was offered an additional 50 channels and 3 months of Starz free for 34.99 They advertised they would have it hooked up by the superbowl. They made an appointment for the following monday, between 8 and noon. He arrived right at noon, I got a call at the office from the insatller that things were not right. I was on the phone for 45 minutes with the home office. They had nothing ready at all.

Then I get the first bill for 51.99. They charged me for a partial month of the package aI was suppose to get at the discount.

1 month with Direct and I'm through with them.

Cancelled my Direct TV after 7 years of service. Tried to get HD service, but Direct TV couldn't provide anyone to install the antenna.

I have a high pitch roof, with a Dihnetwork antenna on it, and two contractor crews both refused to get on the roof. Dishnetwork came out the same day and installed their HD antenna, now a happy Dishnetwork customer.

Directv in Hollywood, Florida - Vacation stoppage

two opoeraors Adam and Leonardi that would not even have the respect to help in a riduculous charge of 5.79 that they would not credit I probably would have DISH and forfeit Direct TV The service is absolutely uncalled for and there are many open positions for the public to have a job and not be as rude I am seriously thinking of dropping them as a network Bad service Bad service bad service bad service bad bad bad bad bad unhappy unhappy unhappy dissatisfied unhapppy dissatisfied unhapppy and more and more and more and more and more - now does that add up to 100 words to post a complaint or do you want more

Directv in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Changed to a terrible music provider

the change in the music provider has left me very frustrated and discouraged. I'm a big blues fan but this provider caters to those people who are dead. there is very little variety itall sounds so much a like that it becomes boring and unenjoyable. why there can't be more than one blues channell so those of us who are still alive can have something to enjoy is the primary reason that I might have to switch to another provider if things stay the way they currently are. I listen alot to the blues channell here since this is the only place I was able to get a blues station. If this current type of programing remains the same I will be making a change after alot of years with direct tv good bye or maybe good riddens is the proper sentiment.

Directv in Durango, Colorado - Changes to the music channels plus the lack of local channels

Direct TV recently changes the music channels. My favorite "Escape" which was easy listening was removed. WHY????? Now there is not one channel which provides soft music like Escape. I suspect a lot of Seniors who have Diret TV are disappointed as well. Why can't Direct TV poll their customers or have a trial period to see if their customers like the proposed changes. I suspect that the people who make these changes have NO clue what the older generation likes. In our area (zip code 81507) Dish TV offers local channels but not Direct TV. I do not think Direct TV cares. roger raihala

Directv in Norfolk, Virginia - Sales people lie! I wrote everything they said and they are not agreeing to it!

Because I could no longer have rabbit ear antennas, I had to get cable! DirectTv looked like the best price, so I called to sign up. When the technician came out, he gave me an agreement form to sign. I read it and told him I can't do this because I signed up for a year. The technician ended up calling his work to confirm if I could sign up for a year. They approved of me signing for a year as long as I marked off the 18-24 months and put in a 12 with my initials. So...I called a year later to end my service. They said no you have to have it for 24 months or you'll be charged a $200 cancellation fee. If I didn't get the DVR it would be a 18 month contract...You learn new information when you cancel. I wrote everything down when I signed up. We even went over my total overall bill for one year. I explained to them that two of their employees ok'd it with me, otherwise I would have sent the tech out of my house. I told customer service that I only signed up for a year because I was moving out of country for missionary work and they still said, "sorry is there anything else I can help you with"? I have written two letters, made 5 phone calls and Im still stuck with $200 that I did not allow them to charge. I decided to look up some reviews and NOW i see that Im not the only one in this situation! Im not calling my lawyer and I have disputed my credit card. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SIGN UP! ABSOLUTELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER YOU SIGN UP!!! I even got an email stating "we can help you with that $200 by putting it towards another year contract"! I read another review that found their corporate phone # to a higher department 1-310-964-5000. She said she just hit a bunch a numbers and finally got someone if not she was gonna drive to the place. I want my $200 back.
