Directv in Olive Branch, Mississippi - No service

Direct TV adveryises 99.9 reception, however I must be living in th,01 of the population that cannot receive a signal. Direct TV is quick to disconnect if you haven't paid your bill, but I never see a refund for those days when they cannot provide a signal. Let's see if more people can jump on this bandwagon and force Direct TV to start mending their fences. It's time for consumers to receive what they are paying for and not the marketing percentages they place in their advertising. Direct Tv pay up or change your marketing numbers.

Going on thrity days of no service to my HD dish. They told me I had to reposition the dish and it is on top of a 30 foot roof, it is winter in Minnesota.

I am not going up there. They also told me it may be weather related, um, we have 4 more months of this weather!I Also told for $50.00 a tech would come out or I could add a $5.oo a month service plan and that would be covered. What a crock of ***.

Thank God for DVD's and all that Direct TV service for a $100.00 a month? lol really!

I had the same thing happen to me. I called to talk to a "specialist" (I use the term loosely) I explained what was going on and was told there was nothing they could do and I would need a service call.

Great, until I found out I would be charged $50.00 for this service call. I was very confused as to why I would have to pay a dime since I was not my fault the dish couldnt pick up a signal. I was told the only way the service call would be covered is if I bought the insurance for $5.00 a month. I agreed.

She then checked when the next appt was... the next appt was available 3 days later! I then demanded that I be credited for the days that I would not have service.

They did give me a credit but only after I asked for it, she did not offer and was quite rude throughout the whole conversation. Once I hung up my husband adjusted the dish (took him about 20 mins to get it to pick up a signal)I called the next day and cancelled the service call but I kept the credit to my account.

Directv in Lafayette, Louisiana - Received free offer for Movie Credits

In celebration of our anniversary as "loyal" customers, You offered us 3 Cinema Movie Credits...thanks a lot! We have no land line phone at our residence where the dish is so can not take advantage of the offer. Why not give us "free Showtime" for a few months? Believe me, when cable is available in our area it will be "bye-bye" DirectTV. It's annoying enough not to have any reception in bad weather...searching for satellite....... Pissed is hardly the word for it!!!!!! Doubt we'll get a response from you...that would be to much to ask.

I do not know what the problem was for the posters here but I got my card delivered by Fed-ex just 17 days after my direct tv was installed. I could not believe it was here already especially after reading the comments posted here just days before it came.My installer was very polite and ready to answer all my questions.

Directv in Cooperstown, New York - Failed to show up for instalation on 3 occasions.

This company has the worst customer service and the one thing that is constant with them are the lies. They have made 3 arrangements to install cable and have failed to show up for 3 of them.I would not recommend this company to anyone.I have tried to talk to anyone who could help and the only thing that is available to me is an address. I cannot believe that this is acceptable to anyone. If this company cared at all by the third time of not showing up it seems that one person would care...If anyone can help with m situation please respond.

When you call their number and you get the recording then dial 0 and you can talk to someone. But I must warn you, it will do no

good.

They are a horrible company. If you can run away from them now.

Directv in Portland, Oregon - Direct TV lied about VERSUS deal

When I first signed on to Direct tv they had VERSUS then after a month they dropped it Turns out Direct tv has been propagating lies abut why they dropped VERSUS from their schedule. The fact is, Direct tv wanted to add an additional charge to watch VERSUS (like Showtime or HBO) and VERSUS would not allow it. The price to Direct tv is the same as another other service, not a penny more. I dumped Direct tv today and went back to Comcast so I can watch the Tour de France this year. I told them they can follow me to the ends of the earth but they will never get their $20/mo. cancellation fee since they did not live up to their end of the deal. Directv - Hd Box Review from Rockford, Illinois

i had a hd box replaced,for 4 months no hd and was charge for,and no creadit to my account.this is a bad company to do any type of contracts,false information.we need to orginize a large group for a fcc law suit.. customers should form a group for a class law suit against dirct tv and file with the fcc. i think the fcc would love to hear from 1000s of people to deal with companys like direct tv.. o iam at 84 words i need 100 words to put this up for people to read iam sure this will never make this page .. duffy

I am now on my at least 15th call with Direct TV. They can not resolve any problems.

They just credit your credit card over and over. Now I am ready to cancel my credit card and see how they like that!

I too am a victom of Directv's contract scam. I have been a customer with directv for five years.I called to cancel reciently because of the cost of service for a additional room. I was told that because i've been suce a long and loyal customer they would give me a reciever and instalation for free.Only after installation, when I was presented with a new contract, did I discover the catch! I refused the new contract, so they fired off a email stating that i'm under contract with them anyway!Really?, So I called to dispute, and was told, too bad,the 24 month agreement you signed five years ago states that if you recieve new equiment you will be under contact again.And that if i cancel the service i will be charged a heafty penality to my credit card. This is obvisally a scam.If your thinking about Directv dont! Thier scame artists. Beware

Directv in Bend, Oregon - What a rip off

I have had direct tv for about a year and paying over 70.00 a month. Now all I get to watch is reruns, reruns, reruns. They want me to pay over $200.00 again a rip off. when my contract is done so is Direct TV. You cant just complain, you have to write an book to let them know that their programming SUCKS. I thought cable tv was bad, but Direct TV has tought me a valuable lesson on programming. Remember reruns, reruns, reruns, reruns at a large price and god help you if you want to cancell.
