Directv in Springfield, Massachusetts - Direct Tv is a joke worst company Ever !!!
First of all I would like to say Direct tv is a joke...the cust service is a mess...It took the tech nine hours to complete a 3tv install...and I already had cable in the house...the the tech that came out hasd only been working for them for 3 days...omg...then when I went to look for my video on demand I could not find it...called come to find out the send me a reciever that does not have that option on it...then I asked about my HD and c/s says to me, you dont have that equipment either !!! OMG now instead of sending me the correct equipment they want me to pay 290.00 for it...ok and I am a new cust...And they want me to pay for thier mistake no way they can take there 200 bucks and put it where the sun dont shine...I am going back to U-Verse...I will see them in court !!!

I have talked to 2 direct TV customer service reps they can't understand that I have not renewed my contract all the help they gave me was to put me on hold forever!!! Do not use these people if you do and you buy anthing from them after your initial contract they extend your contract. But I didn't buy anything they'er junkie equipment failed and so it was replaced. I'm pissed for sure and tired of Direct TV. Wanted to save money but I will end up paying Directv more when the 6 months is over. Plus I'm stuck into a 2 year contract again. When I called no one said anything about the dvr charge. I did not need this as I have a recorder. No one said it was for only 6...
Directv in Kerrville, Texas - Insist on copy of S.S. card & D.L. to make pmt.
I cosigned for my daughter for direct tv. They have had financial issues S due to the economy has not had much work. My son-in-law has made 3 pmts on the account and the last one was returned, so the tv was disconnected until they could get the money together, then they tried to call in a debit card pmt. and Direct TV would not accept it and they now needed permission from me to accept their pmt. I called to give permission and they insist that I fax my ss card and D.L. to them, not happy about faxing ss card but did so, they then said they did not receive it so I tried faxing 11 more times with a no answer from their fax machine. I tried to pay myself but not until they receive fax. Still no answer and they will not accept pmt. I called CEO and secretary refused to help me, even after conference call to customer service. and repeating faxing over and over. Daughter has no TV and they have no money -Do you understand? I am to keep faxing and have spent 3 hours trying to fax from 2 different fax machines-no answer.

My experience with direct tv was not only bad, it was horrible. At first I thought i was getting a great deal, but I was quick to realize I was just getting ripped off. My box would cut out monthly, so I got to spend tons of time on the phone with customer service trying ot figure out the problem, only to have a tech. come to my apt. EVERY month to replace my box.(they claim only about 1 in 100 boxes are bad). When I went to cancel my service because I was fed up, they said it would cost me $180 to break my contract( a contract that i was completely unaware of). Also, they said they were going to ship me a box to send the dvr box back in so that I wouldnt be charged $200,but go figure I never recieved the box and they took the liberty to debit my back account the money. So after realizing i was out the money i called, and they are so disorganized they said that a check had been cut because they had recieved the box(that I had not actually returned because I didn't recieve the box they were supposed to ship me) but it would take at least 8 weeks to recieve....ahhh!! Needless to say, Direct tv sucks, do not use them, they will take advantage of you every wasy possible.
I had Direct TV service for about 11/2 to 2 years. I paid my bill all the time, only occasionally being even a little late. I had some pay per view services I chose. Each time I did a pay per view it gave me a notice on the tv itself that it was billing my account....
