My son worked for this company out of the Columbus, Ohio warehouse, installing Directv. He left because they wanted him to do someone elses trouble call at no charge. He uses his own gas and tools so he said not unless he got paid for it. It wasn't his install....
DIRECTV overcharged account
Cancelled DirecTv due to poor customer service, poor quality, and poor buisness parctices EVEN THOUGH I knew the cancellation fee would be THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS PLUS. Making monthly payments on the cancellation fee, I called and authorized DirecTv to charge 40 dollars to my debit card. The following morning I had a charge for 180 dollars to my account. When I called DirecTV to to complain, the first call I was hung up on, the second call I was told a supervisor was unavailable and there was nothing they could do as I had authorized the payment, when I asked for copies of the recorded phone conversation they said they had none, the third call said it would take between 8-16 business days to refund the 140.00. DirecTv is essentially stealing, as they were only authorized 40 dollars. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
Directv in Plano, Texas - What a bunch of losers
I am so dissatisfied with AT&T and Direct TV, they have proven themselves to be a bunch of liars. I was called by a rep of AT&T to come with them to save money which did not happen. I was told I would get a rebate int he mail in two weeks, that was a month and a half ago. I was also told after I signed the "contract" that I would not be getting internet because i am to far out. Hello idiots I live in the city. My first bill was 303.00 I don't understand how it can be that much for one month. I still have no rebate no internet and they will not talk to me on the phone just switch me form loser to loser. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone that actually wants to get what they really want.
Directv in Memphis, Tennessee - Direct tv has sent via email my informantion to someone else
Direct TV has sent my account information, name and other offers to another individual. I met this individual and he forwarded the Direct TV emails to me. Direct TV has essentially given out my private information to at least one other person. This is my private information and privacy laws have been violated. When I pay my bill Direct TV sends an email thanking me for paying but they send it to someone elses email address. I need compensation and Direct TV needs to be fined. If this other individual has my account number and my name he can access my social security number, address and other things that Direct TV has on file.
Directv in Livingston, New Jersey - Loss verses channel
with the lost of verses to comcast we have lost PBR bull riding coverage. Direct TV has discontinued showing this channel due to a cost increase from comcast. i do not get it? Direct tv promotes advertising for their competitors as i see the commercials all the time. Yet you all can not suck up an increase in channel airing costs! what is wrong with you all? My husband & myself have been a customer for years with direct TV, included with my account package was the verses channel. We never received notice that this channel was being dropped, a channel that we watch all of the time. If you can not resolved your differences with Comcast and get our channel back then you need to replace the channel with something else of equal value or you all need to lower our monthly bill. Think about it, if you lowered our bill $1.00 per month for a lost of channel usage, which is what you should do (i'm sure you would loose in court if you were taken to court), you could add up all of the $1.00 per month and use it to pay the costs of the channel with funds left over. Direct tv is refussing to give me credit for money they took out of my bank account. Even after I have faxed them the second proof of my bank paper where it was taken out. I have talked to nouberous superivser, which as done nothing to help me out. I have asked for address and other phone numbers they refuse to give to me. Bottom line I will never give any of my friends or relatives DirecT tv good service. Please Post this so others may see how terrible this company is with thier customers. Directv in Phoenix, Arizona - Ripped me off now I am stuck in contract
I ordered Direct Tv becuase they were having promotional offers for 1st time customers a 200.00 gift card just having service for one month to qualify its been over 6month now and no gift card false advertisment/bad customer service now i am stuck in contract for 2years. I have called and called they said my application was sent to management and they deined my gift card because i order service before the offer was posted, so untrue customer service even said I would receive it but I guess they like to lie for that commission money they try to lure us in for the big catch.

Directv in Albion, Pennsylvania - Direct TV lies, verbally waives disconnect fee and takes the money out of your bank account anyway!
Due to moving, I called Direct TV and asked if they would waive the disconnect fee because we will still be customers under my daughters account. They stated "Due to all the problems I have had in the past with the equipment, they would waive the fee and not because we were still Direct TV customers". OK, I didn't care what the reason was, just that they waived the fee. They proceeded to take out of my bank account (without my knowledge) $294.00. Thanks to Direct TV, I now have bounce check fees. When I called them, the new representative proceeded to tell me there is no record of my call and it was not documented the fee would be waived. HOW CONVENIENT! She also informed me the reason the gentleman gave me for waiving the fee would not happen. So I asked her if she was telling me I was lied to? No answer, just a P.O. Box to complain to! They do not care about their customers! DO NOT GIVE A DEBIT CARD NUMBER TO THEM - YOU WILL BE SORRY! If you do, change it immediately. Direct TV cannot be trusted with your money.
