My son worked for this company out of the Columbus, Ohio warehouse, installing Directv. He left because they wanted him to do someone elses trouble call at no charge. He uses his own gas and tools so he said not unless he got paid for it. It wasn't his install....

Yes, they held a1000$ retainer out of my check when we parted ways. They have hit me chargebacks every week.

The retainer is almost gone. What they do is criminal, , they know that we technicians don't have the means to fight back (legally ), so inmy experience they basically steal, Using the charge back as a tool to keep our money.

Basically the company gets paid twice. First for the initial work order 2nd from not paying technicians

DIRECTV overcharged account

Cancelled DirecTv due to poor customer service, poor quality, and poor buisness parctices EVEN THOUGH I knew the cancellation fee would be THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS PLUS. Making monthly payments on the cancellation fee, I called and authorized DirecTv to charge 40 dollars to my debit card. The following morning I had a charge for 180 dollars to my account. When I called DirecTV to to complain, the first call I was hung up on, the second call I was told a supervisor was unavailable and there was nothing they could do as I had authorized the payment, when I asked for copies of the recorded phone conversation they said they had none, the third call said it would take between 8-16 business days to refund the 140.00. DirecTv is essentially stealing, as they were only authorized 40 dollars. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

Directv in Plano, Texas - What a bunch of losers

I am so dissatisfied with AT&T and Direct TV, they have proven themselves to be a bunch of liars. I was called by a rep of AT&T to come with them to save money which did not happen. I was told I would get a rebate int he mail in two weeks, that was a month and a half ago. I was also told after I signed the "contract" that I would not be getting internet because i am to far out. Hello idiots I live in the city. My first bill was 303.00 I don't understand how it can be that much for one month. I still have no rebate no internet and they will not talk to me on the phone just switch me form loser to loser. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone that actually wants to get what they really want.

Directv in Memphis, Tennessee - Direct tv has sent via email my informantion to someone else

Direct TV has sent my account information, name and other offers to another individual. I met this individual and he forwarded the Direct TV emails to me. Direct TV has essentially given out my private information to at least one other person. This is my private information and privacy laws have been violated. When I pay my bill Direct TV sends an email thanking me for paying but they send it to someone elses email address. I need compensation and Direct TV needs to be fined. If this other individual has my account number and my name he can access my social security number, address and other things that Direct TV has on file.

with the lost of verses to comcast we have lost PBR bull riding coverage. Direct TV has discontinued showing this channel due to a cost increase from comcast. i do not get it? Direct tv promotes advertising for their competitors as i see the commercials all the time. Yet you all can not suck up an increase in channel airing costs! what is wrong with you all? My husband & myself have been a customer for years with direct TV, included with my account package was the verses channel. We never received notice that this channel was being dropped, a channel that we watch all of the time. If you can not resolved your differences with Comcast and get our channel back then you need to replace the channel with something else of equal value or you all need to lower our monthly bill. Think about it, if you lowered our bill $1.00 per month for a lost of channel usage, which is what you should do (i'm sure you would loose in court if you were taken to court), you could add up all of the $1.00 per month and use it to pay the costs of the channel with funds left over. 1. On virtually everything DIRECTV publishes or prints they clearly state they have the right to change programming and pricing at any time without notice. Read the fine print people. So no breach of contract.

2. I don't know what program package you have, but I can almost guarantee you pay less than $1 for every channel, so expecting that a company would reduce your monthly charge by that amount for a single channel is dillusional.

3. DIRECTV almost always resolves these types of conflicts and have added more channels than they've ever lost.

4. A company the size of DIRECTV has huge call centers and it is impossible to reach the same person you might have spoken with another time...and many people have different levels of knowledge and training. If you want a guarantee of what you've been told GET IT IN WRITING.

We switched from Dish because we wanted to watch the PBR. Now it is taken away again. If you don't resolve the problem with verses, we will switch back to Dish.

WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR DIRECT TV THEY ASSURED ME TO HAVE VERSUS. WE WATCHED

THIS CHANNEL 90% OF THE TIME. SO WHY COULDN'T WE DROP OUR CONTRACT WITH DIRECT TV.

I also would like the verses channel back for Hockey! -- My bill is no cheaper than Comcast -- my contract is up with Direct TV -- I will probably go back to cable.

Direct tv is refussing to give me credit for money they took out of my bank account. Even after I have faxed them the second proof of my bank paper where it was taken out. I have talked to nouberous superivser, which as done nothing to help me out. I have asked for address and other phone numbers they refuse to give to me. Bottom line I will never give any of my friends or relatives DirecT tv good service. Please Post this so others may see how terrible this company is with thier customers. Thank You A Very Pissed off customer

Direct tv are a whole punch of liars, when they said money back warranties, they mean that they will take your money and never back, and the most important thing is the customer service people they apologize for you a thousand time, but at the end no money back warranties. Direct TV is the worst ever experience I had, I think we people should do something.

If you have not done so call your bank and tell them that this was a disputed amount tell them Not to accept any more charges from Direct TV and if your bank will not do this I'd change banks. and please if you have a credit card on file with Direct TV call your credit card co. and tell them NOT to accept ANY charges from Direct TV and they will put a flag on your account.

The hubby and I are in the same boat as some of you. We upgraded our equipment and even asked the representative on the phone SEVERAL times to make sure we wouldn't be in contract before doing this.

They kept telling us their is no contract for upgrading our equipment. Later to find out that it did lock us into a 2 year contract. We fought with several people over the phone and was told we would get charged for canceling the contract. So we are stuck with DTV until October.

We was getting tired of losing our signal every time it rains.

They should not be allowed to trick their customers this way!! :(

Directv in Phoenix, Arizona - Ripped me off now I am stuck in contract

I ordered Direct Tv becuase they were having promotional offers for 1st time customers a 200.00 gift card just having service for one month to qualify its been over 6month now and no gift card false advertisment/bad customer service now i am stuck in contract for 2years. I have called and called they said my application was sent to management and they deined my gift card because i order service before the offer was posted, so untrue customer service even said I would receive it but I guess they like to lie for that commission money they try to lure us in for the big catch.

I too have been a victim of Direct TV for 5 months and my bill has never been what it is supposed to be Yes, they lie!If you have a problem send them an Email from their site this gives you a record

If you have a credit card on file with Direct TV or bank account.Call both and tell them NOT to accept ANY charges from Direct TV! They will find a reason to put charges on your account without your consent.

It isn't a matter of if..

it is just a matter of time till they do charge your account. It is better to be safe than lose hundreds of dollars to Direct TV even if you have to change banks.Read the horror stories of others that have lost hundreds even thousands of dollars to Direct TV..click on Categories(on the right of screen) and then click consumer and then entertainment

Direct TV told us that we could receive local chanels. When their tech.

installed the service he advised that local chanels are not available in our area. They called daily for payment which we had already submitted and discontinued our service. After service was restored they charged us an additional $224.00 for service which we were told would cost $113.00. kThe additional charge, we were told, was a reconnection fee for service which should never been discontinued since the agreed upon payment had already been received.

Direct TV trains their personnel to make promises that they have no intention of keeping, and they charge for services that were not ordered or received. NEVER give Direct TV personnel a credit card or debit card number.

They'll steal your money and lie about having done so. They're common criminals and their executives should be prosecuted

Directv in Albion, Pennsylvania - Direct TV lies, verbally waives disconnect fee and takes the money out of your bank account anyway!

Due to moving, I called Direct TV and asked if they would waive the disconnect fee because we will still be customers under my daughters account. They stated "Due to all the problems I have had in the past with the equipment, they would waive the fee and not because we were still Direct TV customers". OK, I didn't care what the reason was, just that they waived the fee. They proceeded to take out of my bank account (without my knowledge) $294.00. Thanks to Direct TV, I now have bounce check fees. When I called them, the new representative proceeded to tell me there is no record of my call and it was not documented the fee would be waived. HOW CONVENIENT! She also informed me the reason the gentleman gave me for waiving the fee would not happen. So I asked her if she was telling me I was lied to? No answer, just a P.O. Box to complain to! They do not care about their customers! DO NOT GIVE A DEBIT CARD NUMBER TO THEM - YOU WILL BE SORRY! If you do, change it immediately. Direct TV cannot be trusted with your money.

You may be able to tell your bank that this is a disputed amount and may get your money back remember I said may no guarantee but worth a chance.If you have not done so and they have your credit card or bank account numbers on file call and tell the bank and credit card NOT to accept Charges from Direct TV! they will put a note on your account and you will not be responsible for future charges and yes there will be future charges if Direct TV can find a way.

Any correspondence should be done by Email this gives you a record These are some ruthless people we are dealing with and they have the law on their side. Be wise stay one step ahead of them and don't become their victim again.
