directv customer since PRIMESTAR, approx. 12 years. recent offer in an ad announced discounts and rebates. 12 month contract ended up being an 18 month contract. rebates never materialized. numerous calls, and "so called " RESOLUTION TEAM never produced my rebates. i stopped paying. received final bill for numerous charges, and finally they charged my credit card $626.85. they had my card number from an original shipping and handling fee for the receiver (they charged tax on this fee) underhanded way of getting card numbers. contacted visa to dipute not only the charges, but the unautherized charge to my card. will also contact BBB and IRS (tax on shipping and handling?)WWIII!

I used to be a customer of DirectTV, but when i moved they were to re-connect me they never showed up. They finally contacted me about my service and when i told them it had never been re-connected the lady re-scheduled an appointment for them to be there. And again they never showed up. So i called another company for cable. Now i am getting a letter saying i owe $1,210.40 (for 4 receivers that were shipped back months ago). We use to love Direct TV now I tell everyone I know , Call somebody else.

I'm a long time customer with Direct Tv till the date that I switched to HD everything was okay. A Month into this service things went so bad that I wanted to be disconnected from the service with Direct Tv, this would happen at 04-13-2009 bad I been disconnected at 04-01-2009. After several phone calls from at least 30 minutes over the last several day I had my final phone call today 04-04-2009 for more than 90 minutes with the runaround conversations and spook with six different persons with no ability to solve my connection problem. There comments where you have a disconnect running and we cannot give you a service visit to solve your problems. I told them that I will not pay the bill bud that will be bad for my credit report. I'm a disappointed ex Direct Tv customer with no respect for this company anymore R van Rosmalen
Directv in New York, New York - Reinstated Service 6 Months After I moved and charged to my credit card.
I canceled my service when I sold my home last May. They reinstated the service in October and billed my credit card for it. They claimed that I only had "suspended" the service for six months. Since I did not replace this residence, there would have been no reason to suspend, rather than cancel, the service. When I phoned customer service I was kept on hold for over an hour when I asked to speak to a supervisor. The customer service operator, Sheila, did not answer my questions about the length of the wait and simply stayed silently on the line for about a half hour before placing me on hold (with music). This has still not been resolved. I am writing this while on hold and it may never end.
Directv in Athens, Georgia - Direct tv has my bill so screwed up and still are trying to get me to pay it.
I had Direct Tv at one time. It was installed in Tn. and then I moved to Ia. They said it would be put on hold for the tn acct. Then I moved back to Tn and all of a sudden they want a converter box that I had purchased and was told by the installer that whatever I do not to send it back because I had bought it. Direct tv said they had to have it back and at that time my bill was $400 plus. I did not owe anything but somehow they got it so screwed up that the bills I receive now are even higher. IT is different every time. The last time I talked to them on the phone I told them to record the converstation. I told them that they had it so messed up there is no way of fixing it. I do not owe them. Anything. From a bill of $400 it has gone now up to $600 I want this acct cleared. I did not owe them anything. I told them that on the phone and told them i would see them in court before I pay a dime. If anything they probably owe me. It is so messed up. I have called and talked with them many times but I am done. I do not owe them and won't pay them.

We have had your service for over 2 years with no major problems other than the DVR installer did not know what he was doing. After getting a call from Dish 4 Less from Miami Florida we added my mother's Tv and paid an extra fee of course.All of the sudden after the first billing statement for my mother and us that we paid in full our service was terminated. We keep asking to talk to a manager and don't get one they keep talking about fraud and have asked us to send drivers license, ss#, proof of residence etc for my 84 year old mother. If there is any fraud is on their side. The BBB should investigate this people.

on the 27th of march you sent people to my house because my hd would not work riteit took all day to repair on sunday march29th at 830am i loose my singal it has been out for 27hours i call an you people set me you for wenesday the 1st of april i am pissed off because why should i wait till wenesday because of your tecs work i have had your tv system for a long time but i will tell you rite how i will not tell anyone to get your system its a shame you folks handle complaints the way you do i dont expect to hear form you people because all you are going to say is wenesday is are earlest day but you can bet i will be looking for other tv service that you.
