Directv in Washington, District Of Columbia - Promised 2 be here @1:30 came at10:30a
my hd box is wired wrong per DirectPlus and I was to have it replaced this afternoon. He showed up @ 10:30 am refused the maintenance man tolet him in. Supposed to have been here at 1:30-5:00. called said he was out of town now he will be here at 8 a.m. tomorrow. I called Direct TV and told them the problem, and they said service calls are to go thru them. Not what dplus said. I am so angry with them I could chew nails and spit out tacks. they better be here at 8 a.m.
Directv in Dallas, Texas - Direct TV ...out the door
Direct TV is a rip. I can't get the service I not only paid...getting some help with my concerns is a maze of numbers which lead to nowhere!!! Now their recorded machines are set to ask HOW your going to pay each month...NOT why you have to pay this amount...my question!!! I want them out of my life...off my deck...get the dish and stick it where the sun doesn't shine!! Their approach has threatened my credit rating if I don't "buy into" my current charges...which I question..their guarantees for ONE year are bunk!...they jack the rate when your not looking out of "auto pay" from your hard earned money...you have to have a computer to get any rebates..not as a paying customer who deserves the breaks with or without computer. If you do, you have to give them information that is private and none of their business which is probably sold to some other company to load your e-mail with junk. I want out...I want good service...I want to depend on what was agreed. I did not ask for a rollercoaster scam of suddenly in their system ....my problem...which I didn't ask to have. I am a customer...I will be treated as such....out Direct TV...(as soon as I can find the f......ing correct number to do so. Judy Wilson

Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket will cost you $300. That's $75.00 each month for 4 months. No, it is NOT a free trial. No, you can NOT cancel it during the 4 months. No, you can NOT get a refund. During your initial, hour long, phone conversation to set up your Qwest telephone and internet and Direct TV account did the saleman mention the cost? No, you do NOT remember. And you did NOT record the conversation, so yes, you are screwed. Call them to try to sort this out and you may reset your 24 month contract. Good luck.
Directv in Stone Mountain, Georgia - Did not provide service requested
Direct TV informed us we could get HD channels with the package we ordered. After installations we could not get all the sports channels or the HD channels. Direct TV informed us that to get the HD channels we had to pay an additional monthly fee, but that is not what the installer told us. Also the installer was not very professional, talked too much and was trying to get all in our business while he was here. I don't recommend Direct TV to anybody. I had to call them back to install all the boxes I asked for. I will pay the cancellation fee just to get rid of them.
Directv turned off my service to get more money
Directv turned off my service and said I had to buy insurance from them to get it turned back on. I had paid for the service that they turned off. They told me I had to either pay $79 extra or have it put on my next bill to have it turned back on. They turned it off durning the Olympics. They also tried to charge me for three units when I had only two. Now one of their employees got a hold of my card information and took $1,228 out of my bank with out authorization! Their rude.

directtv has interupted my services on serveral occassions when i have asked for an extension to pay my bill no more than a couple of days and when i call and ask why there is always the famous line no were in the notes does say i talk someone about an extension or needing more time to pay my bill. when i request to speak to a supervisor i'm always told that ther are no supervisors avaliable and they will call you back in 24 hours. they can'y never admit that an error was made on their end and i'm always having to get someone who has a credit card to turn the service back on
Directv in Dallas, Texas - Direct TV Customer Service is the worst!
Was an ike victim and they don't have the technology to let me pay ONLY my past due amount.I felt like i was talking to a collection agency and they would not let me talk to a supervisor. It is now 11 hours and i still have not recieved a call from a supervisor. They know they have the customers they need to stay in buisness but i assure you that when i get done with their contract i will go to one of their competiors. I paid and 2 hours later, still no service. I wish i could speak to the person in charge of Direct TV.
Directv in Spring, Texas - Direct TV Sucks
I had equipment failure and was told a 4 week wait was required for replacement. No service for 4 weeks. Now Hurricane Ike comes in and they have canceled my service call and delivery so they can help another customer hurt by the Hurricane. OK, so I don't have Directv and I just survived the hurricane also. Exactly why am I being bumped for the other folks - I don't have service and they don't have service. I asked to speak with someone in charge and was told that due to the hurricane and the number of calls they were getting they shutdown the local phone. Oh, and bye the way sir we will not compensate you for taking off work so we could be there between 8 and 12 and we cannot guarantee you that we will even show up on October 11th. Oh and sir you are still under contract until next year - I might be under contract but I'm not *** - that will be a unfulfilled contract.
Directv in Jackson, Mississippi - Installer stole laptop- - and did not complete installation
Signed up with direct tv. Installer came out in old truck full of junk in the bac. no uniform no id. did not complete the installation, and suddenly left. I did not sign any installation documents - - he said i did not need to and after he left i noticed my laptop was gone with him. no help from direct tv said they were not responsible and the police cannot do anything because i did not see him take the laptop. Said i could file on homeowners insurance but they could not even list him as a suspect. go figure. buyers beware!!! upset in mississippi
Directv in Marble Falls, Texas - Direct TV has the worst service and makes unauthorize charges to your credit card
The "installation specialist" came to install our new HD DVR service with Direct TV. We were so excited. The "specialist" took about 3 hours to install our satellite on the roof and the receivers. When he finished, he informed us that he didn't have any HD DVR receivers and that he installed a regular HD receiver until next week when someone would come switch them out. That is when the nightmare began. The following week a different "specialist" came to finish up the job. When asked if he had our new HD DVR receiver, he said that we would have to purchase the one that had been installed last week before he could switch it out with the DVR. As he observed the work that had been done the previous week, he asked if Direct TV had done the work and just shook his head. He said the wrong wiring had been used and nothing had been grounded. During that week, our brand new $3000 TV had developed a small green dot on the screen. Put the two together?? After exhausted and numerous attempts to rectify the situation with Direct TV, we cancelled our service. Two months later, our credit card was billed $1283 from Direct TV. I called the credit card company and told them an unauthorized charge was made to my account. They told me to call Direct TV first. Of course I dreaded this conversation because I knew what a horrible company I was dealing with. Long story, short, they charged me a cancellation fee because we cancelled our contract before two years. It didn't matter that we never received our HD DVR or for the service that they had been charging us for a DVR. I am still in dispute with Direct TV but I advice against using them when there are so many other good providers.
