Directv in Piscataway Township, New Jersey - Deceived after the fact

Being a customer for 7 years to have a $400 dollar early cancellation fee for a box I thought I bought, activated and then told about a contract I've just entered and a termination fee after the fact of activation. I explained the issue but they couldn't give a ***. I asked if he could look at the last person I spoke with regard this issue and said he does see who I spoke with. I asked if he could place HER on the phone only for him to say "It really doesn't matter what HE said, you still have to paid the fee". This shows me he didn't even look at the notes or even listen to me since that the person was a female. He didn't care about my issue. Being treated like a second class citizen, DTV should be thankful I had been a valued customer. As a service provide, you should be ashamed of yours. Very unprofessional.

Directv in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Direct TV PADS BILLS

Not one or two, or three, but four times I have arranged for Direct TV to send me boxes at my request to return their receivers. I have never received them and they are now billing me for them. They claim to have sent them all times by Fedex but can't supply tracking info. I got Direct TV and within a month asked to have it removed. It went out the first night and was out more than it was viewable. I have called for a supervisor and just get put on hold. I think it's on purpose.

You are right mine went out the first night and have called 5 times in the first month. Asked if i could just pay for the month of service and was told no that i would have to pay an early termination fee. At&t is a rip off witg direct tv.

DIRECTV - worst service i ever seen

After 7 years with Dish Network i moved to different city and I decided to move DirecTV, this is worst decision I ever made, DirecTV has the worst Customer Service, no respect at all for the consumer. I have contact the customer service to help on the problem on my service and they keep me sent to local rep and the local rep has no clue about the issue and I was told to contact DirecTV about the problem. My receiver is not working, I was informed that would take 3 days to get a new one but after 7 days I called then and I was told that the technician had not complete the order and they ask me if I still need a new one I had to request again. I DON’T recommend DirecTV, they have no respect for their Customer

DIRECT TV Customer Service is by far the worst experience I have been thru. As a mater of fact, their Customer Service is so bad it's almost surreal!!! I ordered Direct TV when I bought my TVat Circuit City. To start off, the Direct TV Rep. set me up with two different accounts, charged me twice and I was biller twice. I spent hours on the phone to get this resolved and I heard the most *** responses, like the order was pending or it had to be disconnected (some- thing that was never connected in the first place). Then they sent to Installers at the same time, they cancelled the wrong Account, which was the original one with International Chanel. I have spent, again, hours and hours on the phone with them and every time I call, Im put on hold for several minutes at a time, then I am transferred to somebody else, over and over again and every single time is like talking to a wall, I have to re-explain the whole situation, over and over again. They finally sent another Technician to my place and guess what, he had the wrong order and was not able to do anything, so he calls Direct TV and spends almost an hour on the phone. I talked to one of the Managers and she said someone as going to call me in 72hrs, NO ONE called, for the third time. I finally gave up! Today (07/10/08) I found out they sent a Technician here, guess what, I didn't set up this appt. neither NO ONE from Direct TV ever called me to advise I had an Installer coming. Above paragraph is only part of the nightmare I have been thru w/ DIRECT TV. I could go on and on... As of now, a month later I still dont have my Int. channel as request on the first day. Their Customer Service simply dont care, I am in Customer Service myself and I can not imagine treating one of my Customers like that, DIRECT TV's Customer Service is so BAD it is surreal! - it is almost unbelievable stuff like this happens. Im very mush pissed off!!!

want to charge me for 4 pay per view events from 2005 here it is 2008 i complained all they say is pay the bill they are a rip off company wha is a consumer to do i have been a customer for 10 years you would think that they would have some sort of feelings for the customer that are keeping their jobs going this event was suppose to have happened in 2005 now they want to charge me i spoke to a lady name karen at directtv she was no help at all very nasty al she keep saying was i should pay the bill

Directv in Charlotte, North Carolina - Direct TV is not customer service friendly

I don't think these complaints were written by a DishTV rep. I currently have two accounts with Direct TV. The first on is our primary home. We have had no problems. The second is a home we are only in for a few months a year we have had nothing but problems. They promised us 39.99/mth service, a $150 movers special, $50 referral special, $50 visa, and ATT 10/mth bundle discount. We never received any of that and our mthly fee has been anywhere from $175/mth to $90/mth. I have a 12" thick file on correspondence that has gotten me no where. The customer service reps are like a bunch of robots reading comments off of a card. I am so dissatisfied I am having it removed and cable installed. I have done everything they have asked and received nothing in return. DirectTV is a company that profits from deception and does not care about there customers.

Directv in Arab, Alabama - Direct tv it's OK to overbill as long as you don't get caught

I called Direct tv a year ago asked them to remove the XLB baseball package sorry I don’t watch baseball, and my son is off at college. Anyhow Direct TV says not to worry, I called them 6 months ago just to make sure they say no problem. Guess what I go on line to check out some new shows and bang there is a bill for MLB. I’m on auto bill where they hit my credit card AHHHH I called them and they said they would credit my account I asked the whole bill ??? nope just this month. Ok I’ll be out 100 bucks I could have used. I say lets email friends & family asking everyone to switch to paper billing and forward it to at least 10 others. A it will help cut down on their fraudulent billing which appears to be rampant. Eventually someone on the corporate side will have to wonder why they started hemorrhaging and maybe we’ll see some real leadership. Hey for every person who goes to paper it will cost them 3-5 bucks a month pulled from their ill got gains.

There are some *** crazy bastartds that are in the customer service of this *** direct tv! These guys are so *** rude and idiots that they did not even have my installation scheduled on the day they told me over phone. Such a BS *** piece of ***.I just wish my fav channel comes through a different satellite network that I could have gone with. These guys claim they have the highest customer satisfaction guarantee in the market. This tells me that nobody should beleive those JD power or whomever the certifier is in these kinds of ratings ...

Directv in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania - DishTV is certainly not the system that Dishnetwork is.

We have had DishTV for exactly one month and have experienced 6 "searching for satellite" blackouts. Every time there is the slightest hint of a rain storm, not even thunderstorm, we get no picture for an undetermined time. Additionally, we are being charged $25. more per month than we were led to believe on the phone sign-up. Another irritation is the requirement for two separate receivers which are only responsive to IR signals which requires one to be in the same room to change channels. The Dishnetwork unit was a dual system with one of the receivers UV signal responsive. They have us trapped in a situation that is entirely inescapable unless we are able to pay them a $200 per remaining month on the contract.

I apologize you are having so much trouble accuquiring sat signal, this is not standard. If you are still having trouble please let us know. I know this was posted awhile back but you should not lose signal that often and we can send a tech out to look at alignment to achieve you a better signal.

We make every effort to provide accurate and consistent information to our customers. There are some situations that may cause your bill to increase or change; expiration of promotions, price increases, additional receivers, additional features, additional programming. Each year we negotiate hundreds of contracts with the network providers to help keep our customers cost down and remain the lowest all digital pay TV provider. Although we are able to get fair deals on most of them we may have a slight price increase due to what we must pay these providers. Your promotional rate is our normal rate and then a promotional discount, so when our prices increase you will still receive your promotional discount it will just be off the new pricing. I apologize if this was not fully explained to you in detail.

Our goal is to provide customers satisfaction. Any time there is an issue that has the ability to be corrected if we are given the opportunity the cancel fee would be enforced if a customer declines and elects to cancel.
