Directv in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania - Misled - misinformed

I had dtv installed may of 08, under the impression that local channels would be available to me. Yes, locals are available, but not out of my home state. I live in western pa, expecting pittsburgh locals, i got youngstown oh. locals. needless to say i'm a huge steelers fan, i'll get the browns as my local. They have set me up, now i'll have to purchase sunday ticket, that's bull. i've inquired about there neiboring locals, that seems to be false advertisement!!!, customer service has been a nightmare. I don't reccomend dtv to anyone. Further more, billing, they use funny math, on your promotions, even thought they give you credits, they tax the whole amount, money in their pockets.

DirecTV charged for service not provided.

DirecTV called and said exchange of dishes was necessary. Technician came to exchange, said I didn't have an HD receiver, and would return on Monday. How could I not have an HD receiver? I've been paying for HDTV for the last year! DirecTV service representative verified that I had been paying for what I had not recieved, offered $5 credit for 12 months, Showtime for 3. Bull! I wanted refund. Her supervisor said take the deal or be given nothing. DirecTV is a thief. They steal, the customer pays, and nothing can be done. Cancelling service costs extra.

Directv in Locust Dale, Virginia - Direct TV Upgrade Victim!!!!!

So much for being a long time valued customer of Direct TV. I upgraded our system to accomodate our new HD TV. I called "customer service" back in February and paid well over 400 dollars for two new boxes. There was NO mention of LEASING at all. I would like to add that for well over 5 years we have continuously complained that we do not recieve a paper bill. They continually say they mail it. We finally recieved one this month and what do I find? I find a lease charge on my two new boxes. I say this must be a mistake and I call them. They tell me no one can purchase this equipment since they changed it back in 2006. Needless to say I was furious. I went through a few people and finally ended up in the "resolution dept" The woman was rude. I said I would have NEVER EVER paid you this much money to BORROW your equipment. I told her I wanted a refund and she said it was NON REFUNDABLE. This is FRAUD! No one informed me of ANY of this!!!!!! I want to be added to the lawsuit

Im sure youve received bills. So convenient that the one bill you get is the one your griping about.

Im sure you "never receive" your credit card bills either. Typical consumer in debt.

Good to know. Now we know all pros and cons of the form.

I mostly use >W9 2015 pdf to edit my PDFs. I think it also allows you to to create fillable pdfs and esign them.

direct tv did me the same way. they put holes in my vinyl siding and are not returning any of my phone calls. they are pieces of ***.they also charges me a cancellation fee.

Directv in Altamonte Springs, Florida - Direct TV HD DVR's

I am still fighting with direct tv High Def service. we have direct tv for 8 years HD service for 1 1/2 years. There DVR HR 20 and HR 21 we have been through 6 receivers. This past week starting July 8 have had service out July 11, July 22, July 23 and they are trying to schedule another appt for Friday July 25... To this date between billing issues and fixing their inferior quality equipment 182 hours invested and they have the nerve to say if I want to cancel they want to charge me. They forced me for the Plan Protection WHAT A JOKE. The service has been awful there have been some nice people. They have turned us over to Case Management... thats a joke. Does anyone know who to file the claim with for small claims court??? ALSO IF YOU HAVE HD DVR DO YOU GET THE GRAY BARS ON THE SIDE WHEN WATCHING A PROGRAM WITHOUT DISTORTING THE PIC???? on the box you have the option to change the colors Ours will not.... Please let me know.... Thank You

The bar color will not change, there are options for lots of things that won;t work because it's future options not current options. The bars are there so the picture is the same size as the film is was created in so it doesn't get distorted. Go to a Best Buy and look at the model, we show customers what they do because they buy them and complain to us first and usually it's just something that isn't set right or isn't understood.

Directv in Bronx, New York - Remote Control Rip-offs

Since when did these satellite companies become so consumer unfriendly... Did you know if your remote control becomes disabled after the 90 day warranty they don't inform you of... they charge you $15. dollars to replace them. After approx. 2 years of Direct TV service the buttons of the remote have become iffy... They no longer respond when pressed. When I called customer service to ask about replacements I was told I had to pay $15. per remote control. I was astonished to say the least. When told about the 90 day warranty, I stated I was never informed at the time of purchase about any warranty. It was also told to me, that I could buy into a service plan at $5. per month, but it wouldn't be in effect for 30 days. Talk about your rip-offs... Isn't it enough we pay extremely high-cost for the service provided, though in inclement weather the service doesn't even work... and the taxes that are changed, increased or different on every bill... since when does the consumer have to pay for the poor judgement of a company who chooses inadequate equipment... oh my mistake that would be when direct tv became established.

My receiver crashed and they wanted to charge me for a new one. I said no let me cancel my service since my contract had expired. The customer retention person told me that she could send me a receiver with out charge and no new agreement. She also said I could bundle with Embarq. When I called later to bundle they said they don't do it with embarq so i said cancel my service. They then told me i will have to pay an early termination fee. I said for what. They said my extended agreement when I got the replacement box. They are the best cons in the satellite business. The reps are super rude. They are excellent in the business of being rude to customers and not giving you vital info and lying about everything.

In a Nut shell It happen to me to. Customer of 4 years had a broken receiver was issued a new receiver all I had to pay for was shipping and handling, I was told.

Sent me out another broken receiver. 4 days into this and I had it. I canceled my services, took a look at my account and they took $338.32 out. Oh My GOD..

I called them spoke to three different people. Nothing... Any Lawyers out there who want to take this on please help us. I have contacted 5 on your side in my town, BBB, And THE FTC.

Get this the woman at the FTC( Federal Trade Commission)say she has been hearing this alot about direct tv. very important that you file a claim with them. phone number is 877-382-4357. Also your local BBB.

also Consumer Protection, in your area, the FTC can give you the number. Direct TV will be giving me my money back, how about you.

Call your Attorney General. If you are interested contact me remember there is strength in numbers.

DirecTv moving chaos

I've moved and wanted to take my DirecTv disc with me and upgrade to HD at the same time. BIG MISTAKE. You can't do both online at the same time so I made an online upgrade and called in to change my address. I called back twice before the first installation to verify that the address change came through. During the next 4 weeks I had made 4 additional phone calls. 4 different installers came by. Two went to my old address while I was waiting for them at my new place! Two came to the correct new address with a small ladder packed in the back of their minivan/suv. Not big enough to reach the roof of my two-story house! The last installer did at least put the cable through the wall and did come back the next Monday with a big ladder. All in all very unprofessional. DirecTv wouldn't send me the receiver and let me call my own installer which I suggested to them after 2 tries. And the DirecTv service kept insuring me that the installer had the correct address but they clearly have no clue!! They make me wait during a 4 hour window for the installer, that then doesn't show up . And in the end they also didn't do the upgrade that I had requested. DirecTv had me contact the 'REGIONAL Installer' to correct the address. That 'regional' company was located 1000 miles away in California (I'm in Seattle) !!!! They clearly have no influence on what's going on so far away. A few weeks later I contacted a normal installer for an additional disc. He laughed at the suggestion to take a large ladder. Two story houses are common in Seattle!

You should have done the move first and then ask for the upgrade.

doing it the other way meant that your upgrade went to your old address. so really them going to your old address is really your own fault. but the other bits I can understand your pain.

By what you said you ordered online for an upgrade, which means you ordered it to be set up at your old address. Then you called to change it to your new address but you didn;t set up a mover install. If you had called and told them you were moving first then the upgrade could have been done on the same order.

We have a directV remote that has worked beautifully for several years. Now, we have four buttons that aren't functional and also the Previous button doesn't work. We DO NOT want the universal remote as a replacement, which Radio Shack has tried to sell us. Can you get us a new Directv remote that works? the present one has been a delight for a number of years. We'd be happy to pay - and would be extremely happy to have it. With Brewer games and Packer games in the near future, we really need a remote that works. Thanks for your help.
