DirecTV Customer Service Reps are clueless
Over the last two days I have spent almost 3 hours on the phone with 5 different Customer Service reps trying to resolve a simple problem about automatic CC billing. They are unable to access my account to make changes, I am unable to access my DTV online account. No one at DTV knows why. They want me to cancel one account, open another and change all my passwords, CC billing info and all other associated information to see if that corrects the problem. I am seriouly considering going back to cable. DTV is fast becoming the new DMV. Whew.
I still do not have HD service, Customer Service is 0, you talk to 100 people you have to repeat your case, they have notes but nothing is being done. Thye say I owe them money because I cancelled. I only had service for 10 days; I did not cancel. They were not able to install my HD dish! First they said I owe them $980+ !!! Did not get any bill or bills in the mail. If you think I'm making this up, I don't blame you because it's unbelievable! Nightmare! What's next? I still don't have service, no one is listening! Run! they told me my bill would be about 53.00 per month basic pakage. when i got my first bill it was 78.00. they had charges for receivers and misc. bullcrap.i called and told them to disconnect because they lied about price then they offered to me at 38.00 per month. i told them i was not interested because i felt they were not giving the best price from the start. now they are saying i owe 450.00 for early cancellation because i had signed an agreement. i signed nothing when i had it hooked up and it will be a cold day in h### before they get a dime. We got Direct TV last year, they did not tell us it was for 2 years, I never signed anything, they did not tell us we would not get network channels, let alone local. They continually messed up the billing, finally in Sept 5 months later we cancelled, I went through a myriad of problems to cancel without a penalty, finally searched through website and found a person, they waived the cancellation fee. Now 9 months later we suddenly get a bill for movies we supposedly watched 11 and 13 months ago. Now again i'm being given the run around and customer Service (that is a joke) refuses to give me a phone number for corporate headquarters. I'm contacting the state Commonwealth Atty General's Office in Richmond, VA and filing a complaint.

direct tv is a national consumer rip off retailer. Directv in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - No Service
Saturday night and 12 Laps to go in the Nationwide Nascar series. The ESPN2 channel stops broadcasting and all I get is the Directtv Logo. 15 minutes later it comes on with car 88 in victory circle. He was in 3rd place with 12 laps to go. Directtv failed to provide me with the exciting racing that took place in those last 10 laps. Will they refund any portion of my monthly payment. No they will not! Just goes to show when you see their commercials, they are be deceitful! I needed more words it was either this or profanities

I regret the day I signed up with this service. I cannot order pay per view movies through my TV, and when I buy through the internet it tells me I have not purchased this movie and cannot watch it. Everytime I call their "Customer Service" (Which is in a whole different country) I repeat the same story five times and receive the same rehearsed answer. To them some how my pay per view just magically stopped working. I would much rather them tell me the truth, that they are clueless and their product sucks, or at least speak to someone who listens and understands my complaint. Fast fowarding and rewinding is a chore in itself, and the excitement of wondering whether my show will be recorded or not is always an adventrure. Needless to say I will be satisfied once I cancel my subscription and would not recommend using this company. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and no my problem has not been resolved Direct TV.
