Directv in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - No Service

Saturday night and 12 Laps to go in the Nationwide Nascar series. The ESPN2 channel stops broadcasting and all I get is the Directtv Logo. 15 minutes later it comes on with car 88 in victory circle. He was in 3rd place with 12 laps to go. Directtv failed to provide me with the exciting racing that took place in those last 10 laps. Will they refund any portion of my monthly payment. No they will not! Just goes to show when you see their commercials, they are be deceitful! I needed more words it was either this or profanities

Directv in Los Angeles, California - Direct tv Product

I regret the day I signed up with this service. I cannot order pay per view movies through my TV, and when I buy through the internet it tells me I have not purchased this movie and cannot watch it. Everytime I call their "Customer Service" (Which is in a whole different country) I repeat the same story five times and receive the same rehearsed answer. To them some how my pay per view just magically stopped working. I would much rather them tell me the truth, that they are clueless and their product sucks, or at least speak to someone who listens and understands my complaint. Fast fowarding and rewinding is a chore in itself, and the excitement of wondering whether my show will be recorded or not is always an adventrure. Needless to say I will be satisfied once I cancel my subscription and would not recommend using this company. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and no my problem has not been resolved Direct TV.

HI, my husband and I got direct tv. over a year ago.

Well our problems w/ direct tv started about 7 months ago when we moved into our new home, we were resigned up for a aditional 2 years w/o our concent, we didn't realize about it until our leased dvr messed up. we have been on and off the phone w/ direct tv no help, asking for a signed aggreement of us resigning another 2 years lease, they tried to get us to resign another contract when we had to get a new dvr, we said no, that we where still waiting on our contract that we invisabliy signed; all they told us was to contact the people that hooked up our servious..which is aggervating. on top of it all they where charging us for some magazine that we never even gotten and didn't want to pay us back. we also have a lease reseaver that they where suppose to send us a box for so we could send our old reseaver back.

i want out of our contract with direct tv.

i don't see how you can be under a contract you didn't resign..we are suppose to be out of the contract in 09 and now they are trying to make us stay till like 11, its *** crazy. someone if you have any words of wisdom please message me:) thanks

Directv in Roosevelt, New York - DirectTV unauthorized credit card charges

I entered into a two agreement with DirectTV ad after 20 months, the DVR became defective and needed to be replaced. DirectTV sent a replacement. After a total of 27 months I canceled my service and got charged over $204 for an early termination. DIrectTV automatically renewed my contract when they replaced the DVR previously. They never notified me of the extension or requested my approval. Maintenance service is not included in their contract commitment and must be purchased separately. Because of their inability to comply with their original contract term of two years, I was being charged a penalty. They also have an endless supply of "Supervisors" to read a script that this is their corporate policy. BUYER BEWARE. D|O NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DIRECT TV.

Even after 12 years, an additional

fee for early termination. Just try to return the inferior DVR they pass off

for TIVO.

Pay the $145. or go to collections.

Pittiful, and they still send promotional advertisements offering $50. for each new sucker you will betray.

Directv in Stone Mountain, Georgia - Direct tv charged me 347.28 for activation when i was only supposed to be charged 19.99

i had relocated to Ga and in the process i ordered direct tv . well i only authorized 19.99 to be charged to my debit card for shipping of the equipment they said we were approved and that is all we had to pay to get started. THAT WAS B.S. when i cancelled the service even before they were supposed to hook it up becuase they couldnt find a confirmation number. when i gave them what i was given i said cancel the order do not send me anything and do not charge my credit card the rep assured me they wouldnt the next day my debit card is charged 347.28 cents . WHICH I NEVER AGREED TO > they are scandalous it made my bank account negative ( we just moved ) and screwed me up thank god i had bank of america and disputed the charges and finally they gave the money back . horrible horrible horrible

Directv is money hungry

Directv Customer service and billing needs more customer skills. They do not contact you about your bill, instead they just shut your service off and then you have to pay a reconnect fee before they restore your services. If you have already paid the bill and they disconnect your services, they expect you to still have to pay a reconnect fee. They do not care about the customers and if it were not for the customers they would not continue to be in business. They do not try to work with their customers and the economy is in a slump. We need another satellite company to beat them out, then that is when Directv will act like they care. We need to do something about this company.

First your bill has to be past due for over 40 days to be disconnected...you do get a bill. If you did not it is your responsibity with any company to mind your own bills.

Seriously take responsibility for yourself. If you stopped getting statements about your mortgage would you not call them and ask why you did not get a bill...or even a loan statement if you have ever borrowed money. Tv is a luxury, yes the economy is what you call in a slump.

Although with all the crowded stores, new vehicles and packed restaurants i would not call it a slump. If you cannot pay for all your tv luxury cutback or go to a digital converter box and get free locals channels so you can get the news and some entertainment

Directv has stolen $491.00 out of my SW.S . I am homeless and I have never had an acct. with this co. I haven't owned a TV in 25 years. It seems nobody wants to help a homeless person. I have been told my Debit card # is on record. They have never received authorization to use my card. It was a tough time living in the woods of S. Florida with nothing to eat, I asked for the name of the person on the contract, but, was told none of my business. It's getting to the point of "Who's the worst? Obama or DirecTv."

Dipute the charges with your bank. If you have truly never had service with them and have never paid a bill for someone using that card the bank will reimburse you.

Hello Anyone, My name is Diem Nguyen, I has Directtv for 8 months and I though I will continue with them for fews year. Last weekend we have big storm pass by with hail big like golf ball side plus strong wind. I lost my signal all of TV. I call Directtv customer support, and get hold of technical support. I ran through troubleshooting with the tech and can not get signal back cause the dish has moved cause by strong wind. So I ask for Technician come to my house fix it. Guess what I have to pay $80.00 for tech come to my home or buy $5.95 montly protection plan. Why I have to pay for the technician come to my home and fix without replace any hardware or buy anthing. So I decide cancellation the service. Guess what I have to pay $12.95 for the month remain with 2 years service agreement and &400.00 if you don't return DVR box and $200.00 for Digital basic box. Holly cows that it for me. I agreed pay early termination fee to get rid of them and this is my lesson too. They don't tell very clear about cancellation policy on theri website. I will file complaint with the FCC event I will paid early termination fee. They are very tricky and customer rude. Here what I learn from them before you are sign up with them: You will lost signal if Heavy rain and snow Strong wind the disk will move and signal lost. You have call tech come to your home fix it. Pay $12.95/month for 24months if you are cancellation early. Pay 80 dollar for the tech come to your home no matter what. or pay $5.95 monthly protection plan. Directv in Denver, Colorado - Customer Service without a clue!

If I had been told up front about losing my local stations and that I can not get recovery kits until after the service is cancelled I would not have had to speak to 5 different people. I called to ask that my account be closed on June 20th. I'm moving out of state and not taking Directv Service with me. The account address was changed, I lost local channels, I called to find out why. I was told that my account must stay in my current address and that recovery kits must be sent to my new address and I have to move the receivers with me and ship from my new address. How *** is that? Now I must call in on the 19th give you my new address and cancel my account!! You are back asswards people!!!!! I wanted to have a planned cancellation date and send back the receivers the week we move! But you can't do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Directv in Portland, Oregon - DIRECT TV

Date: June 1, 2008 Direct TV customer 7 months. Cannot use hdmi cable as Direct Tv is still "working with" hdmi cable manufacturers so that they equipment with work with all cables. I was told this 5 months ago. Now ABC has always had periodic breakup at my home in Oregon. Last week, lost 5 min of the Indy 500 race. No picture at all. Today trying to watch another Indy Car race. Worst break up ever, constant. Call Cust svc: poor csr has to tell me all the BS she has been told to tell customers that, once again, DTV is "working on the problem with local channels." Right... BS! I have had breakup for 7 months! Never buy DTV, contracts not a good idea. I will go back to cable and buy fewer channels. I chose DTV because COMCAST was charging more and offering less. I may go back to a big *** house antenna and put up with less tv, save $ and drop all the satellite, cable BS. DONT BUY DIRECT TV!!!!!!!!!!!
