Directv in Indian Valley, Virginia - I was billed for sports package after i said NO

I have two major complaints...My bill was turned over to collections after telling me that they would give me another week for me to pay my bill..Now i have to pay in full...(on disability)..The bill in full that has been put in collections has sports package on it that i had asked to be deleted back in january,as we do not use the sports channel anymore....they stated they would still bill me and try to work with me on getting it straighten out later...PLEASE DO NOT GET DIRECT TV,YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Directv in Lakewood, California - Direct TV is ***!

I have thoughts of going Postal at their EL SEGUNDO offices.I have nonthing to loose with my heart cond! WATCH OUT DIRECT! They opperate a *** service with my TV blurting out loud noises with Pic loss at the same time. When I complained about it they informed me they were aware of the problems since Jan of 08 and they are working on it! YEAH RIGHT NOW IM STUCK with a contract$$ They threaten me with large dollar amounts if I cancel my agreement also I have to pay for all of the equipment such as the DVR and the Satellite Hi Def receiver!

Direct TV lied,they promised,("You get $50.They get $50.") they lied ! Instead they wanted to credit my account and my friends account, my friend doesn't have Direct so they told me I would get both $50. amounts .My bill would be $19.99 for 10 months $29.99 for 2 months and then $46.99 for 6 months, my first bill was instead of 19.99 was 46.99 we called and found that we were not getting the extra 50 credit so we canceled the service and changed our credit card account before they charged the account

Direct Tv keeps cancelling my install for HD DVR they promised me an HD DVR for 99.00 but when they cancelled they went back on their word and now trying to charge me 199 they cancelled 4 installs without notifying me two of the installs i was just sitting at home customer service is horrible they lie about not having ID when i asked they put me on hold and transffered me to the spanish line I even tape recorded the agent stating 99.00 and they still wont honor im in the process of sueing now im tired

This is the worst thing i have done for TV. We have had direct for 2 months, lost all HD channels, had everything replaced and now nothing works, The Commercials about direct tv are true...if it is windy..or snowing or raining you are out of luck,I *** hate this ***, i am going back to cable.

Though I can empathize with your situation, you are essentially wasting your time. Legally speaking (I am a lawyer), all that matters it the agreement that was signed (either in person or electronically in good faith) between your father and DirecTV.

This is a legally binding document and the termination fees would have been clearly stated in it. Cable companies, internet providers, and cell phone carriers are very clear to point out cancellation fees since it is often the most disputed type of charge.

If this would be brought up in a small claims or lawsuit situation, the case would be quickly dismissed in favor of the defendant, DirecTV. Sorry, but you are SOL.

I moved from Phoenix to Santa Fe. I called them and told them I was moving.

They disconnected my service for only 3 months in phoenix reconnected it and started charging my card for over a year!!!!!! They now have stolen over 700 dollars from me!!!

Directv in Santa Rosa, California - DIRECT TV "Choice" Package lists DIY but they don't provide it.

Direct TV web site: Packages tab "Choice" lists DIY under the "Family" section of channels provided. The implication is that all channels provided in Family plus additional "Choice" channels are available for that subscription. DIY has a small † next to it in grey. At the bottom of the page, that † says: "†Channel not available with the CHOICE base package", written in small grey letters. This is MISLEADING ADVERTISING! If they don't intend to provide a channel, it should not be listed under the Package tab. I was mislead, and so must many other customers! A written complaint to the company yielded only the bald response that DIY was not part of the CHOICE package.

Also beware of this one. If you do buy a package they will automatically bill you the next season without your consent.

They did it to me and claimed they sent a flier out telling me I was going to be billed automatically. Then of course said they couldn't remove it once I pointed out their error.

Threatened to leave and they did adjust some things, but at this point thinking about trying the other satellite provider.

Nothing but problems and terrible service with this company.

I purchased DIRECTV services that listed "SPORTS SOUTH" as one of the channels provided in the CHOICE 200 PLUS package. The day of inswtallation (04/24/2008) I was informed nI would have to buy an additional sports package to receive channel 631.

BAIT & SWITCH tactics and misleading. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE.

DirecTV stole money from me.

On 03/12/08 I returned 5 receiver boxes to DirecTV after I moved and canceled service with the company. Two weeks later (03/28/08) I was billed for these receiver boxes erroneously ($272.22). I immediately called to figure the situation out, and was told by the first representative that I would be credited within 24-48 hours for my unnecessary charges. I asked this representative how their company could still bill me after I clearly returned the items, and the woman said, "Well, the departments are in different areas, and don't communicate." ?????? Ridiculous. I then waited 48 hours and called back when no refund was posted. The next representative I spoke with told me that it would in fact take 10-14 business days, clearly a different timeframe, was very rude, and no matter how much I asked to speak with the "finance dept." I could not speak with them, and even the management would not let me speak with them, nothing was changing. I asked how I was supposed to believe that this was a true timeframe, since the first was different. They assured me everything would be fine. This morning makes 14 days. Surprise, no money refunded. I called only to be told ONCE AGAIN by representatives that the time frame is actually 6-8 weeks, although my charges were made by mistake!!!! I immediately requested the management, I spoke with Yesenia, who has now assured me that she is working to make this refund happen within eight business days from today. ??? I don't know what to believe or who to turn to. I feel as though this is illegal since I have returned the items they charged me for, and they have admitted fault.

Directv in Englewood, Colorado - Directtv stole money out of my account

I had Direct TV for 2 years and not once did I get what I paid for. I cancelled the service because I started receiving no service at all. After spending HOURS on the phone with Directtv after cancelling because I was not able to watch TV. Direct TV used a debit card(they stored card holder data)that I took off the account and stole $490.00 out of my account. DirectTV has said I do not owe this money but refuses to put back in my account. Every time I call it is always a differnt time span that they are going to but it back I have heard everything from 3 days to 8 weeks. the Money was taken out of my account in Jan 08, it is now April 08. ALSO, since cancelling directtv has called and asked what they could do to get our business back. ALL we orginally wanted was to watch the TV Service that we were paying for. We were laughed at and hung up on prior to cancelling because we had no receiption. WE NOW HAVE DISH AND SERVICE IS MUCH BETTER
