Directv in Englewood, Colorado - Directtv stole money out of my account
I had Direct TV for 2 years and not once did I get what I paid for. I cancelled the service because I started receiving no service at all. After spending HOURS on the phone with Directtv after cancelling because I was not able to watch TV. Direct TV used a debit card(they stored card holder data)that I took off the account and stole $490.00 out of my account. DirectTV has said I do not owe this money but refuses to put back in my account. Every time I call it is always a differnt time span that they are going to but it back I have heard everything from 3 days to 8 weeks. the Money was taken out of my account in Jan 08, it is now April 08. ALSO, since cancelling directtv has called and asked what they could do to get our business back. ALL we orginally wanted was to watch the TV Service that we were paying for. We were laughed at and hung up on prior to cancelling because we had no receiption. WE NOW HAVE DISH AND SERVICE IS MUCH BETTER
Directv in San Diego, California - Direct TV and their fraudulant charges.
I purchased MLB ticket in 07', but didn't want it in 08'. Direct TV decided to charge me regardless on me not ordering the service. I called customer service and was placed on hold for about 25 minutes. The manager said her supervisor would call me within the next 2 business days regarding the situation. It has been two weeks now and still haven't received all call back/no messages. Horrible Customer Service Direct TV is also a rip off. They charge to much for services. Never, ever sign a contract with them. Big mistake on my part.
Directv in Santa Rosa, California - DirectTv customer service sucks!
DirecTV gave made a clerical error and automatically withdrew $215 from my checking account. I spent an hour and a half being bounced from customer service clerk to customer service clerk. Each telling me they would be able to fix the problem. No one could refund the money. Long story short 3 1/2 weeks later, I still have no refund and no compensation for the time I spent dealing with them or the incompetency of their staff. They all just brush me off and say "so sorry".They continue to push me off on another "resolution specialist". And it is more expensive for me to get out of my contract and find alt. TV service than to stay. And they know that.
Directv in Chicago, Illinois - Direct tv sucks, old recievers that dont work
Horrible customer service.2 of my 4 receivers dont work, they were used when i got them.now they tell me I have to pay 79.99 for a tech to come out.Told them do just cancel my service.said I have a contract for another year, and i will be charged 20.00 for each receiver.. each month.if i dont pay they have a copy of my credit card and they will put it on that.thats fraud and an unauthorized transaction.have had them for 7 years and pay 100.00 per month for *** cable.and horrible cutomer service if i can even get thru on the line.
Basically the same thing happened to me. I had a two-year contract. Reception on my new plasma TV was always marginal at best with Direct TV service. I now have cable service and it is fine. After 13 months of complaining and many wasted hours of written and phone...
Directv is a joke. I have been with Directv since January of 2008 and we have had nothing but bad reception the whole time. My son's box in his room causing problems for his tv and so I called for a tec to come out. When the tech called they wanted to try and have...
DirecTV has changed their policy regarding equipment that a customer purchases from a retailer - DirecTV now considers all equipment, no matter how acquired, to be "leased" equipment. I found this out when I replaced a receiver that I purchased from Best Buy one year ago with a new HD DVR that I purchased from another retailer. DirecTV insisted that I send the replaced receiver to them as it was leased equipment and not owned by me or they would charge me up to $470 for the receiver, that the purchase price I paid was in effect a "lease fee". No one at Best Buy or the other retailer informed me of this when I purchased either of the receivers; neither did DirectTV when I connected the receivers. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and am now waiting for the results of their investigation. Stay away from DirecTV - they are now in business to rip off consumers.
On 4/7/08, I called DIRECTV to cancel my account and much to my surprise, I was told that I was still under contract. The rep stated that if I cancelled my account, a cancellation fee would apply. I was told that my contract was extended for 18 months, starting last...
I ordered a bundle package from Verizon, which included cable service from DTV. A technician came to my home and installed the cable (DTV) service. I have chosen to cancel my Verizon services, which unfortunately includes the DTV service (because to date Verizon has...
Directv in New Orleans, Louisiana - Direct TV Billing Errors
If the average citizen did what Direct TV does monthly, they would be facing 5-15 years in jail for theft. Direct TV billed me for a non-existant account. I moved, and someone in billing made an error in switching the account. They added an account instead of transferring. This resulted in my being double billled for services. After months of trying to get it straight, not receiving the $161.00 credit that was due me, and being turned over to collections for "non-payment", I had enough. I cancelled my service. Thereafter, I was assessed a cancellation fee. Talk about insult to injury!
