Your font size is absurdly small.

Considering the majority of the people who buy your service are older, do you not understand that eyesight weakens on reading small writing as we age??!! I can't even see what time it is anymore when I hit more information, much less the description of the program. You made the color bars gigantically big and the typing incredibly small, what an absolute waste of space. Fix it! We're about to unplug now and move to Firestick by Amazon because of frustration with the new format.

Hate upgrade

The new upgrade made by Directv spring 2018 is awful. The menue screens are slow, hard to read and difficult to use. I don't know what directv is thinking?! You can't see right away the date a show was 1st aired. Once watching you have to hit info 2 times to delete a show. Upgrades should improve a system everything should be easier to use and you shouldn't be left feeling frustrated and annoyed. I think there has to be a way to make it simple and clear so even my 75 year old father can run it without getting ticked off. There was no warning of the changes and no way to revert to previous look. Please fix.

It Used To Be So Great...

Before we moved to NYS we had DirecTV in Florida. Loved it and made sure we had it for our new home. Hubs could not live without Sunday Ticket. We used Magic Jack and our cells for phone service. Jump ahead a few years. We both telecommute. Magic Jack was unreliable. Along came Time Warner(now Spectrum) with a great deal. Phone/Internet/Cable so we went with it and were happy with it, although no Sunday Ticket. Over time however the price just kept creeping up and DirecTV was begging us to come back...free this, free that, free Sunday Ticket . ...so we went with Ooma for phone, Spectrum for Internet and DirecTV for the obvious. Less than a month in and I hate it! What the heck happened? You have to click numerous times to move around menu and often it just doesn't respond. It drops the internet connection daily requiring a trip upstairs to reset the connection. On Demand on Spectrum was great - all the thumbnails helped clue you into new programming to check out. DirecTV What's New has FIVE thumbnails - whoopee. The sheer number of assine infomercial channels to *** out of your favorites is staggering. Some channels appear to be only On Demand - better be prepared to endlessly hunt for an old favorite or a new show you heard about. Pull up a show On Demand and as soon as it ends it's asking you if you want to save or delete, the four seconds later it's starting the next episode - annoying. Set a show to record, and it may skip episodes or record out of sequence. Got to say my fav new glitch is watching a show on On Demand and the next day wanting to watch the next episode and getting the "program not available"...but being able to get it on another TV in the house or via accessing and undeleted episode. Two year contract - ugh. Maybe we can convert one tv back to Spectrum. DirecTV BAD!

The worst

Cannot read the small print on guide. We are in our 40’s but feel blind. Also love that one channel that offer 4 k viewing, and will not let you change the channel! Must turn off TV to exit. It’s is so bad! We really hate you DIRECT TV SUCKS.

Been a customer since 2004. Absolutely despise new guide format.

Font too small to read. Finding recordings is ridiculous. And no ones mentioned the new vertical line to show the time of day and line goes right through the letters.

Amatuer hour and I just got Comcast today for $69.99. It has all the chanells I watch now plus $4.99 for Sports package and includes Red Zone!

Don’t care. Agent said maybe next month. Whatever! They have your money and you get what they think is good .

At least I will get new boxes on upgrade but it will do no good. Maybe if all customers asked for a big reduction in our bill they would think twice.

Switched from over priced Spectrum who I left over ever increasing price strategy! They do not seem to care about loyal customers anymore! Our installer did a great job and Glen # 63396 knew his stuff. His supervisor Marcos Causey also helped me with a re boot and was very helpful. So far 5 stars for their service! I also like the programming better than Spectrum! I have two relatives who recommended that we switch to Direct TV. We also have been long time ATT Wireless customers. I also have had NO issues with clouds or storms causing satellite interruptions. I would defintiely recommend Direct TV.

I had directv installed last Friday. The installer handed me the remote and said "this is on and off. This is volume and this changes channels" and he left I got no instruction manual. In trying to figure it out on my own, I found out that I cannot record programs and to do so would cost me (a retiree) $250 more. I have never head of getting cable in this day and age and not being able to record. I thought it was part of the charm of cable. I AM FURIOUS. I want to find a group who is challenging this monopoly and join in the fight to get rid of their stranglehold.

Why did you not check to see if the system provided everything you want before signing up ? You are old enough to know what happens when you don't do your homework.

Why did direct change their program guideh. The lettetsc ate to.

Small and cannot read them the channel list is not readable. Hsve to sit up close to tv to read the small print. When tecooefong shows, that too has change. Black and white small print is like the tvs in 1960.

Plus the plaulist is on top og the recording list which is too small to read. I love Direct TV. Put please put the programing the eay it was. This strain my eues and not enjoyable to read on my large tvs.

Please put it back the way it was.

Deceptive information

March 21,2018 I was called by a salesman and was told about a special he wanted to offer me. A $300.00 gift card and a 2 year contract for cable tv. I told him I would only take the service if I could get Destination America in the lineup. He told me I would have to get MOVIES EXTRA PACK for an extra fee of $4.99. So I agreed to it. He also told me I would get a $300.00 gift card. It was a special Directv was running for that day. So I agreed to it. I was not able to watch Destination America that evening so call customer service and was able to fix it. Everything was going fine until my daughter tried to claim $300.00 reward card and would only pay $200.00. Before I was able to call about the problem I received a bill for $158.27 which was $102.57 over the agreed price of $57.00. I called yesterday about both problems and Amy could not help me. I asked to speak with someone else. Mike got on the line and was very rude, told me with the Select package I would not have DA in the lineup. I explained about the MOVIE EXTRA PACK. Mike informed me that DA was not included. Mike would not hear me out and never let me speak, very rude person. When I looked at my order confirmation I saw were it read 1 instant rebate &300.00. With that said I agreed to a two year agreement with the offer that was made on March 21, 2018. I don’t know what’s going on with customer service but I know what was offered to me or I would have never agreed to the service. Thanks

I had to wait for over four months to be able to have On Demand capabilities on all of my TV's. I have four TVs of which two are 4K TVs and each of them has a DIRECT TV 4K mini receiver; however, when WiFi was connected the 4K TV's would not function; and when not connected On Demand would not function on any of the TV's in the house.Called to claim my rewards in December and was informed I had to wait the 120 days before could do so, but was informed at that time the reward would be sent to me in January without me calling back. No card received, so called in Early Feb and the customer service individual took information and I was once again told that the card would be sent. No card received and called again in April and was informed this time that I was to late and the promotion was no longer available, and that I should have a nice day.Additional note: When I called and was informed I was not elgible for the reward any longer I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was then put back into the call cycle and after 20 minutes decided I would be there forever for no one wanted to deal with an unhappy customer. I then went to the Live Chat option and was informed of the same information and when I was responding to that information was cut off by the Live Chat individual before I could send my addtional comment.I do not recommend Direct TV, and believe AT&T requires you to call for your reward for they count on many individuals forgetting to do so, and thus puts that allocated money back into their income. In my case they refused sending it to me claiming that I hadn't called within the required time frame, even when I had. They evidently don't keep a log on your account when you call so they could go back and check or they just don't want to take the time. They just use the old you didn't call in the allotted time BS, so they can to get away without sending your the $100 or $200 VISA Card.

When I first got direct tv and internet it costs me $125.00 mo. They said if I moved I could take it with me. What a lie. They made me renew my contract said my bill would be about $73 a mo.because they couldn't provide me with internet in my area. Well my bill is $125 a mo. Can't wait for April of 2019. Will drop them. The representative I spoke to actually told me they lie about this so people will buy their service. Said when my contact is up then they will offer me a good deal. Why wouldn't you offer it now. What a sorry company Direct TV and AT&T are. Wish this was published where everyone could see it.

SERIOUSLY??? I go away for a few days and come back to a firmware "upgrade".

What kind of company forces an upgrade on you that makes the guide look like something from back in the 80s??? The font is ridiculously small, and all of the menus (guide, recordings, etc.) are useless because of the small fonts and incredibly long lag times....the DVR list of shows is terrible now...doesn't show what day the show was recorded on, and no more folders for multiples of a series????.....what the *** DIRECTV????

CHANGE IT BACK OR MAKE IT BETTER!!!! AAAH AAH AAHH AAAHH AAHH AAAHH AAHHH THANKS FOR MAKING ME HATE DIRECTV

Directv's new guide is an absolute joke. To "improve" the guide by cramming the screen full of small, unreadable font is so blatantly stupid. Most of their customer base are older people with some loss of vision and are now not able to see the guide without getting up and moving closer to the screen. And the font size cannot be enlarged. AT&T once again shows there total disregard for their customer base. I have never had a good experience with their customer service. They have taken a great product "DirectV" and turned it into an irritating piece of crap. I can't wait to dump them and start streaming. I am sure I will not be alone..

Searched upcoming showings not complete

Trying to find upcoming showings of a series or other showing times and it says non found but if you scroll channel ahead a few days it will be there. This is not efficient
