I have been with Direct TV 30 yr & since AT&T took over, it's been a constant nightmare. I called 3 times last week about compensation for missing NBC, CBS channels that total 5 channels that I pay for monthly.

The customer service reps lie & promise other channels that are never turned on. When you question them about getting money back if you cancel they promise re-payment for any days not used & then they keep your money. When you disconnect service they want you to agree that they are allowed to keep your money saying in your paperwork they keep all money from the month you turn the service off.

They make the consumer be responsible for returning the equipment via mail but promise to charge you if it's not returned to them timely (but they don't send you the box needed to return it so they can lean your credit for failure to return their equipment). This organization is about taking everyone's money, hurting their credit after charging for programing you don't get.
