I been trying to get my Direct TV resoled since Dec. 17th 2016 due to over charges and every time i get on the phone its a 2 hour conversation and you think you got it resolved only to find out it was not and so back on the phone again and another 2 hour call and think its resolved and its not so you call again and this time they resolved it and get all the over charges taking off and even take your credit card over the phone and now you think all is going right to find out it never happened and your Direct TV gets turned off for not paying so back on the phone again to be on hold for a hour and no one is answering you but you have all the calls you made to them and how long they were and still no on can help you. I was having problems with getting a signal for a lot of my channels on direct. Called direct ,they scheduled an appointment for a tech to come out. He came out told me that my dish needed to be repointed because of trees since I had it installed ten years ago. But because they had installed it on a Duke energy power pole he could not do anything about it. First of all the people who came out an installed my dish where the ones who did this. He told me I would have to get a private contractor to come out and repoint my dish at my expense .I understood when I got direct they would make sure my equipment worked and I paid my bill. due to this I am cancelling my account with them. I am planning to get dish network they are not as expensive as diret is!!!!!!

Had the service for 2 weeks,didnt work,so i returned the equipment as they told me,they charged me for the 2 weeks and said that was all they ware going to charge,and they took $394.00 from my bank account this month when i dont owe them a penny.They rob me,they empty my bank account and i still have to pay a charge to the bank.crooks

I cancelled Directv last year when I moved back home with my parents (whom have directv). I have gotten around 10 calls from C.S. asking me why i have cancelled. 2 calls within a week.... They say that my account has no information of people calling me or the reason why i cancelled.... Lies. The woman who called 5 days ago said she would make sure my info was updated and that I would no longer receive anymore calls... wrong. I just received yet another call asking why I cancelled. Seriously... my family is still giving you business and I still frequently use Directv. I could not be more clear as to why I cancelled. I moved to a place that already has the service. Now leave me the *** alone.

Totally Done with this nonsense

I had a salesperson come up to me & my husband in a local store. I was not there to do that type of business. The salesperson made everything sounds so good. So we let them run my credit & i got the package I wanted. They took out the amount of money for shipping & handling which we knew about. The appointment got set-up on a Friday of that same week, I called on that Friday before the technician was suppose to come between 8am-12pm, to make sure the technician was going to call before he shows up. I was told yes he should call between 30-45 mins before he comes. Well it didn't happen that way. The technician never showed up. In fact he called the office & told them that he knocked on my door for 20 mins and no one answered the door. Well that was a lie due to I was outside of my house doing holiday decorations. No call to say he was at my house or that he was on his way. Next hick-up my husband & myself both missed work that day so one of us would be home, so of course we lost money for that as well. Then we had to call customer service & the sales department over 10 times to find out what was going on, Only to be told that the technician typed in the notes he came & oh well that's on you as the consumer to be home. Wait what. Then I get another appointment only to be told because I live in an apartment that I would either need to have a wireless box which will cost $99 (which NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT), and the salesperson knew we lived in an apartment. Then I call the salesperson to see about directv waiving the fee due to me not knowing about the fee, but the salesperson said " You can get your shipping & handling refunded, I got other customers to sale to what are you whining about). R U SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! Consumers of the world DO NOT< DO NOT< get service with directv. I have never been through so much drama and stress when it comes to my money and you wanting my business EVER. This is not a game this really did happen to me.

Misreprenstation

I have been a loyal customer for several years until recently, last October, 2016 I decided to move to St. George, Utah being that I had retired. I called DirectTV to get a quote, I was told at first that all calls were recorded, I asked the agent that we wanted cable and internet service and asked him for a bundle price, also told him that we wanted the PAC 12 channel, GOLF channel, and the ROOT channel for the JAZZ games. He said no problem and proceeded to give us what we wanted. We agreed to a price and decided to have DirectTV install our service. The first billing arrived and it was $90 a lot less than we agreed on, I thought well maybe they gave us a better deal because we have been a regular customer. The following week we got a bill from Century Link for $60, I called Century Link and told them that DirectTV was supposed to of had a bundle with them, they checked and said DirectTV had not contacted them and told me to contact DirectTV. I called DirectTV and explained to them about the bundle transaction, they said they did not have a bundle with us. I requested for them to listen to our first recording, they said it would take several weeks to do that, I said fine I will wait, I have waited several months and had not heard from them. I received a bill from DirectTV last week for $147 and asked why the increase, they said that we had a trial for movies for three months, again I asked them to listen to our first recording, the ladie I talked to was no help, so I canceled our service. We have been lied, taken advantage and misreprestated. Now they want $400 for cancellation fee.

Direct t v and at&t is a bait and switch company...trying to charge me for early diconnect...totally not the case...had diect tv for 1 yr. And paid 67.00 per mo. And after 1 year the monthly fee doubled to 134.00 per mo. and no one from company could tell me why my bill doubled,, this is unacceptable .......senior and cant pay this.....and dont owe it.......My advise just dont go with *** company....i went with dish network and am very happy,,,just sorry i didnt find them sooner...

Can't believe the horrible service I just recieved... had an appointment today to upgrade all equipment in entire house, 6 tvs, between 8 and noon. I waited til 1 to call and find out where the technician was. They claim bad weather, which is 100 percent bull. It is cold. No travel advisories are out in entire state. I can see for miles. Didn't recieve any notification they were not coming. And told me to reschedule after waiting weeks already. Hence I lost hundreds of dollars in wages today. And will on the new installation date. Not pleased at all. Last time I checked money don't grow on trees. I will be terminating servce immediately once my contract has been satisfied.

This is absolutely ridiculous! I had a scheduled technican appointment window from 12-4PM. I had not received ANY calls from Uverse, and after MULTIPLE attempts to speak to a manager that had authority on my account not one person could help tell me where or when the technician was coming.

It is now 8;00PM and I am still on hold waiting to speak to a Manager who can help! DIRECT TV has TERRIBLE customer service and I am extremely disappointed.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been transferred from representative to representative. ANd now I am being Charged for the additional days for my cable when it was DIRECT TV that DID NOT SHOW UP TO THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT

I've had only the BEST customer svc from Direct TV UNTIL THEYMOVED SERVICE TO INDIA!! It is beyond frustrating. I've had two recent problems and ended up having to just hang up. I know they are TRAINED but they just do NOT understand what you're saying. Everything is repeated back to you - everything you say, repeated back as if you're a first grader! FRUSTRATING!! HATE IT, HATE IT

I agree whole hardheartedly it is disgraceful the greed of these corporation.

I've asked for an address for payment it took approximately twenty minutes to get, I finally called the lady *** and finally got an address. she claimed I cursed her while asking for a manager.

It is disgraceful how many american do nothave jobs and willing to start out at the bottom to help their education and families. Direct TV/AT&T Greed

Taken advantage of

It was a DirecTV customer for many years. The last year or so so I may become disenchanted because of DirecTV is poor customer service. My old box went on the fritz and I needed to replace it. I received a new one that didn't work; couldn't go online at all and use the features. DirecTV decided that was a new contract and so when I tried to stop service I was charged. DirecTV's channel selection continues to decrease. I quit DirecTV because I got no basketball, no college sports and no baseball. What a worthless company! Seems to me the further along DirecTV goes the less they have to offer. I seriously think this is a business plan designed to manipulate customers and ensure their bottom line is they look to re-channel their business model. I have nothing good to say about them at all after 10 years.

Every time I call DTV support I get a vastly different answer to the same questions... I've heard- No you can't do that then the next person says--Oh sure you can--Who told you that you can't? What you need is another visit from a technician to install another device and you will be fine---the onsite technician will and has said of course...Who told you to do that? What you need is a blah-blah or you can't do what you need to do--Oh sure it will do that--at end of tech visit when it doesn't work they say (more that twice) to call tech support and they will walk you through the set-up and it will do exactly what you need...then of course tech support says either "You can't do that," or hold on and let me talk to someone about that--5 minutes later---"try this!" which of course doesn't work. Then they ask basic questions about equipment I have in service which never matches their records--change that and "of course" that was the problem Just wait 30 minutes sir for for the computer to catch up and it will work." Nope..doesn't work...I kept asking if they could elevate my problem to another level of tech support like DTV had before AT&T and they say their is no higher level-- they are it. I finally said they had 10 minutes to come up with an answer or they could cancel my account---then I got to talk to a customer retention specialist who did a therapy session with me that felt like I was being treated for PTSD (no insult to my brothers and sisters in the military intended here. Just that I have had training on how to work with Vets with PTSD and I recognized some of the techniques). So, I felt a little better about DTV and my life in general when that was over but of course my DTV still won't do what it is supposed to do....I tried another time and finally got someone who said that they could forward my case to 'engineering' and they would be able to figure it out in 4 or 5 business days..Sounded to me like I had finally made it to the promised land of engineering who could finally help me.....Kept trying my system and things didn't work. After 5 business days called back and guess what? Who told you there is an engineering level to escalate problems to?? Now I'm doing breathing exercises to maintain my cool....and really, really this is the best yet... Sir, whoever told you that, does not know what they are talking about..What is really going on is a system wide problem with the new software that replaced GenieGo and no one can do what you are trying to do right now....Of course I say,"How long ?" The answer is chilling---"No one knows." Are you freekin kidding me! A month and at least 30 hours of my time wasted just listening to a bunch of people who can fabricate stories and just plan lie to get you to go away. Its the old story-- if they spent time training them to do tech support rather than get a bunch of people in call centers all over the planet and don't give a flying F about whether you get your problem solved it might turn into a real tech support. Sounds like an OK job if you don't have a soul. They fill out their forms so the company won't fire them that day and turf you to the next poor *** who has to deal with you. I do see their point- if they solve problems then there a less problems to go around and they might just close a call center and yours might be it. The trick is to not solve your problem and not *** you off at the same time--which takes some talent I must admit. Anyway, I used to like DTV but not now, since AT&T they have in my opinion become a bunch of disorganized profiteering (sp?) maggots...I look forward to how much worse it will get when they add Time Warner to the mix...It will be like dealing with the old Soviet Union... Guess I will try my luck with Comcast...

Direct TV owes me $200

same as other complaints, DirectTV said if I chose them they will give $200 reward card. So I switched from Century Link to Direct TV. But they never sent me the card. I called them many times and they said the rep would call me in a few days. The fact is, nobody called me from Direct TV.
