Switched from over priced Spectrum who I left over ever increasing price strategy! They do not seem to care about loyal customers anymore! Our installer did a great job and Glen # 63396 knew his stuff. His supervisor Marcos Causey also helped me with a re boot and was very helpful. So far 5 stars for their service! I also like the programming better than Spectrum! I have two relatives who recommended that we switch to Direct TV. We also have been long time ATT Wireless customers. I also have had NO issues with clouds or storms causing satellite interruptions. I would defintiely recommend Direct TV.

Sort recordings by season

Clearly the past guide sorted recordings by season and number. And you used to be able to click on title and see upcoming airings of that show, not just that episode! So why did you change it? Better yet change it back. It can be done. Unsatisfied customer.

My husband and I were perfectly happy with our Direct TV screen. Now, it's so hard to read, not all of the words for our stations appear, and we can't even read the entire phone number for our Caller ID. We can't read descriptions of shows, dates originally shown, etc. It's terrible! Even the color is gone. Before, it was bright and there was contrast. Now, it's gray and white. I don't remember ever being asked about this or warned that everything would be looking different. I hope this is a trial and that our issues will be addressed. I'm glad to read that others are just as frustrated as we are. Oh, and we have an older TV that doesn't have High Definition. You have to have that to increase the size of the letters and numbers. Please return things to the way they were!!!

Pissed at Directv Format Change

Status quo of format presenting content was fine. New format of 5-17-2018 is the work of of some goosifer that needs to be fired. A fake cure for no known disease is sabotage upon the corporation and the customer- unintended or deliberate. I have no plans to assimilate, and can 'gair-on-tee' that, unrestored, I will abandon Directv by necessity and see to this with DISH. This is not whipped cream on a hot dog; not a walrus moustache under my nose; it is an annoying disaster that makes no rational sense. We observe much of deep kimchi employees get their companies into. Superiors should have prevented this; now they must exercise damage control. Grab the stun gun; you have a clear shot from right where you stand. You would also qualify for a Nobel Peace Prize, as Obama did when he broke up the *** fight with a garden hose.

Your new screen information lay out and type size are terrible. I can not read from a chair. Please fix thisWtfWtf Further I do. Not understand the instructions. You must realize this a terrible change, could push me to Dish. You have made watching Directv you must at the least give us the ability to select our own type size. I find it unreal that you would spring this on us. People over fifty have problems seeing distances. What wacko in your organization install this. Fire them You also should fire the person asking for 100 words. Better to get to the point

I Love DirecTV, but....

Been with them forever, AT&T merge changes are negative. This new format is IMPOSSIBLE. WHY do we need so much clear bkack space? I have a 55" TV and I can barely read any if the text. They need to make the font LARGER. There was nothing wrong with previous format. Hate Dish & cable, but might have to give up TV alk together. Would love to know what in the world they were thinking! I'm thinking apparently they were not thinjing at all.....at least not about the viewers.

Directv 's new menu format is HORRIBLE....it is more difficult to read...you can not scroll through your playlist as easily. It is frustrating to use. CHANGE IT BACK! As much as I pay for this service it should be quick and easy to use, which it is not now. Directv should have let consumers know about the issue before changing it and let us vote on it instead of forcing it on us. I hope they reconsider this change...improvements are supposed to make the service easier to use this definitely does not. We want the old format back asap. For the elderly and those with vision problems, this will be almost impossible to use.

Not user friendly at all. Too much distracting txt in the screen.

Not streamlined at all. I saw another comment about the monthly charge going up.

I certainly hope not as these changes have actually made it LESS user friendly. Please bring back the old interface- or at least an option to do so.

please go back to the old menu, or at least give an option to do so! It’s hard to see anything on the guide, the coloring doesn’t make sense and is too dark with light . It doesn’t make sense. It’s almost like a fade. I want to see I don’t care about “decoration”, “format” . I want to be able to read it. Don’t get me started on the size of the font! It’s extremely small. You can’t tell what you are clicking on in the list. It jumps to a huge box. It’s confusing. Please give me an option to go back to the old version!!!

Friday evening and time to catch up on my recorded shows from the week, and, did I press the wrong key,? or my glasses not strong enough,? what just happened? Not much thought was behind this change unless Direct has decided to make our entertainment harder to achieve. Did they hire the person that pressed the wrong button in Hawaii, or has Dish hacked into thier system to make a change more appealing. Whatever it was ,I'm not happy, and totally disappointed with Direct. This has to be a hundred words, or I can't go any further. Seriously, do I need to use a hundred words to express how I feel or it goes nowhere? I really need to be pissed to write a hundred words, and I wasn't all that pissed until I saw that I had to write a hundred words.

4/27/18 turned on the TV, clicked on my Genie to watch something I recorded and all of a sudden my screen was all filled up with crap I have never seen before. Big screen in the center that gave me two choices, “Delete or Cancel Future Recordings”. How STUPID is this!!!! I am 72 years old and don’t need something great destroyed by your employees wanting to “make life easier” for all the DirecTV subscribers. Get your new CRAP off my screen so I can get back to enjoying a great TV experience.

This redefined plan was obviously done by folks who are not senior citizens. I have to get right up next to the TV to be able to read this new guide.

It's difficult to see the difference in the vague tint to determine if the channel is even on my package plan. And, it is virtually impossible for me to read the numerals for each of the channels. This is NOT an improvement. Even if I were younger, I can't imagine I would find this change to be an improvement.

I'm not sure why you even considered changing something that was working perfectly fine. As soon as my contract runs out, I plan to go back to Comcast.

New guide a disaster

The new guide takes a simple form of listing shows, and especially the simple management of recorded shows, and creates a hard to read and hard to manage system. The " recorded show" system is full of extra steps, and it is all counterintuitive. For example, tou cannot delete a watched show from your list of shows. You cannot delete a watched show by simply pressing a button. You get icons of the most recently watched programs, which is not helpful. I don't want icons. I can read. I want a written list. An icon may not be recognizable to a user. If you have not watched a show previously, how do you know what characters or hosts look like. AAcross the room you might not be ble to read the tiny print on the icon.This was not change for the better! There should be an "opt out" or a return to the old version. I hate this new idea. It is the typical "new" for the reason of being something new. There are NO advantages.
