I'm extremely dissapointed in Direct Tv. I will not recommend you to anyone. Worst customer service I have ever received. Our service was shut off today. Bill was due today who does that?! I called to make payment arrangements to directly take this out of my account next week and they refused to turn it back on. Worst cable company ever! We will be pursuing other company's what a joke!

Direct TV forcing me to cable

We have been customers of Direct TV and AT&T wireless for over twenty years. With the merger existing customers get not much loyalty rewards while new customers get all the "deals" with a 2 yr contract. Direct TV is quietly eliminating non HD channels which does 2 things. Forces customers into HD receivers for all TVs thus increasing revenues. We live in an area that loses HD signals faster when it rains than non HD channels making our viewing experience worse. With Dish introducing their "skinny bundle" they will be switching to ala carte packages....something that has merit because I pay for a lot of channels I never watch. Yep Direct TV is on the way out!

Customer Service Review

Well, AT&T is now making DirecTV as bad as they are! This company is getting so big, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! Ridiculous!! If AT&T merges with Time Warner...we're all in trouble.

Angry directv ex-customer

They're telling me I owe 390.00 and I must pay if I want to be a customer again. No thank you, after they made a big hole on the outside and we got in trouble from the association in our community. Plus they put up the dish to where our neighbors tree is blocking the signal and they never came back out to move it. Maybe if they would cut my bill in half. Maybe that would be a great big help for me. Especially now that I'm unemployed. My husband is the only one that's employed. Thank you, but no thank you.

AT&T Direct TV Wireless Installation Cost Suprise

Paid $275.39 initially for direct tv installation at att store -- thought it included wireless as our new location was a rental. Moved two hours away to new location. Installer wanted an additional $99. which we refused to pay, thinking that we already paid $275.39 for wireless. Now the fee is showing up on bill. Customer service rep and supervisors have been very nasty and kept repeating that the $99. is "a valid charge." Am sure it is valid if explained initially and properly. Customer service reps and supervisors were not helpful and did not listen. They kept saying that were sorry, but would not waive the fee or compromise. Very frustrating. Will never recommend direct tv or your customer service.

This would be great if it worked. The 1st weekend of Sunday Ticket was very unpredictable. The week after that in that remote actions were delayed or nonexistent. Tonight the picture simply freezes for long periods of time. And, Direct TV will not even answer the phone.

I called to verify a credit on my account and to get info re a bundle deal. The DirectTV representatives (including a supervisor) were completely lacking knowledge, spoke disrespectfully & very unprofession. The first person was so very rude and disturbingly lacking professionalism. I asked for the supervisor and he lied saying there were no supervisors, only to have the supervisor come on 5 mins later. Unfortunately, he too was rude and unprofessional. I ended up asking for the retention department to see what it would cost to cacel my account. He transferred me to the retention department, but befote it was transferred, I was immediately hung up on. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Don't make the switch from UVERSE to DIRECTV yet. Maybe it's OK in some markets but the switch is not ready for prime time in the metro Atlanta market. I'm a long-time ATT customer who in July switched from UVerse to DirectTV. It has been a total mess. I was promised I would save approximately $100 a month plus a Visa gift card. I am paying more plus no gift card. Installation was a huge problem. The first DIRECTV person told me he wasn't sure I could get a signal but would come back with his manager. That was the last I ever heard from him or his manager. I lost both TV service and Internet for a week. One mixup after another. I called DIRECTV customer service and got non-English speakers who struggled and twice just disconnected me. (ATT customer service is much better but they don't seem to be able to access DIRECTV records). I was promised $100 off my first bill for my loss of service. Hasn't happened. Was promised a Visa gift card. Haven't received it. Have gone to the local ATT store. They are really helpful but haven't been able to resolve all issues. It's not a people problem. It's systemic. The people are always pleasant and try to help but they aren't empowered to cut across rigid organizational boundaries and solve problems.

i bought a battery jump start < the ones about the size of a phone> i tried it out and it didn't work on my bike so i returned it and the shop keeper said come back the next day , she rung me up saying she took the item home to test as her husband had a flat battery< how lucky was that, maybe a pork pie i think so> any way i said it didnt work on my bike and i want a refund so she replied with its store policy that no refunds are given , i purchased this with the intention to use on my bike and it did not work so i want a refund , i spoke to fair trade and their reply is that the store policy has no bearing on consumer law and they must return refund if it didnt do as advertised How many other people are getting rip off by this company

After canceling my Directv account because I was moving, I paid my final bill. I mailed in my discs as they requested. After 2 months I was sent another bill for $5.39 finance charge. I paid it. Then after 4 months I was sent another bill for (4) movies ordered it said via remote control in 2012. Mind you it is now 2016. What bogus charges. Anyone can tell you that you have to pay your bill in full each month and that includes any movies ordered. It's my conclusion that Directv is stealing money left and right from hard working Americans.
