Horrible customer service. Was a customer for over 3 years and was charged a termination fee because I moved. Customer service had me on & off of hold for 45 mins and a supervisor ended up doing nothing for me. No incentive to ever be a direct tv customer again.

Their terms are only 24 months agreements the only way you would have ever been charged an ETF is if you requested a discount which renewed your contract because Direct TV is offered just about anywhere you go. you are required to retain your contract if their available where ur moving.

Direct tv called today and thanked me for being a customer. Said they were giving us showtime at no cost. They've added charges to my acct. Contacting CFPB tomorrow and cancelling dtv service. Don't take their calls. Slamming is illegal.

Worst customer service ever! On hold or speaking to a rep for over 1 hour and 35 minutes. Spoke to 3 different customer service reps, 1 wouldn't respond when asked any question, 1 hung up on me and the last one final answered the simple question I called about. Then finally got a supervisor on the phone at 1 hour and 20 minutes into 3 calls and they wouldn't even offer any sort of rectification only to apologize and say they will make sure it is addressed. Then told I had to call another number and when I did they were closed because I had been on the phone so long. Just completely UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE!!

I would to say that directv does not go the extra mile for their customers. They preach about being all for the customers and helping them in need , well good luck with that!!! Everytime I have had a problem whether it be billing service or other problems they always seem to say there is no way that they can help you. Even when you talk to a manager. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them for the time being!!

There are thousands of trees in my neighborhood, when it was windy, the reception was often disturbed. We settled for this poor performance until we realized that the service was worse than what we had ever experienced with our previous providers. When it rained, we often lost reception and weren’t able to record programs and/or view the ones that were recorded. To stop a recording prematurely (before it finally stopped on its own), you have to click seven different options. Again, we had become “settlers” and that was just too much. I also had difficulty operating the remotes to my DVRs once Direct TV was installed. On one of the DVRs, before we could watch a DVD, we had to disconnect one cable and reconnect the one for the television. (That’s meant going behind the television to do so.) After having DirectTV for four months, I discontinued the service. I had to pay $400 for the early termination fee, which I didn’t feel was fair after receiving poor reception. I was told if I had complained several times that might have been take into consideration (but again I had become a “settler”). I was told that I owned the Dish and the wires and that I would have to be responsible for removing them. The dish was mounted on my garage and they told me not to remove the base, because there would be *** in the roof of the garage. The only thing I liked about DirectTV is that they list the cast, often displayed a picture of the individual.

Wow not sure where to even start. First off ordered direct tv. Took three frickin hours to set up my service.now with my order got offered a tablet i accepted but then found out they never ordered it. Next.... installer came out and decided that there was a tree in the way(not big deal, was.getting trimmed next month) rescheduled only to find out internet would not rescedule. Had to cancel whole order, called back same day to reorder and now they wanted 30.00 to deliver recievers to installer. Never actually had them but will never deal with them again. Totally worst experience ive ever had with a provider.

Directv in Chicago, Illinois - Don't believe in REFUNDS from Direct TV...

Well, I have finally heard it all. I discontinued my services with Direct TV, a called regarding mailing my equipment back and I was asked to return to Direct. Well, I was given an offer that I did not refuse. I was to that after looking at my account, I would be given a credit of $472.78. and that the credit would be in my account in 48 hours. After a week or so of not receiving my credit, I received a bill showing a credit of $422.78. Then, I viewed my account on-line and saw a credit of $342.78. I called and spoke with a representative that informed me that Direct TV reduced the credit for unknown reasons and that the current credit would be released soon. After speaking with a supervisor to understand why my credits are continuously be decreased, I was then informed that I will not be receiving any credits and that all of the credits on my account will wash off in 5 days. There is no one higher at DirectTv other than Raymond and if I want to speak will someone over him, I would need to send an email to the office in CO. Direct TV is truly lost my respect for them and I will never want anyone that I know to be a customer of such a company that does honor its own policies and procedures.

Ive been very happy with direct tv until today when i called to replace a 6 yr old remote. Several of the buttons dont work any more. I was told i dont have the right pkg to get a free one. I have to pay $16. Ridiculous! I couldve paid for several remotes to have to get that upgrade. I know Comcast will replace them for free which I think in all fairness your company should do too. The remote was not tossed around or abused by children. It is used by my 92 yr old father. Very poor business practice on your part. I will be letting all my friends and family of your faulty business practices instead of prioritizing your customers concerns and needs
