Directv in Bradenton, Florida - Upset with direct tv

ordered direct tv, could'nt speak with sales person face to face.rep.lied over and over.tech. showed up two hrs.late.could'nt read contract until after install. lost signal 3 times first week. cancelled after 2 weeks contract says 24 hrs.to cancel charged $460.00 cancellation fee. don't give rep. credit card no. spoke with customer service after lenghty wait was told i had to return equipment within 14 days or i would be charged for the equipment also. said they would send boxes with shipping labels for return. that was 16 days ago still no return boxes worst experience i've ever had. there should be a law

DirectTV is a disgrace and borders immoral and illegal business practices. I've been a DirectTV customer for 15yrs. First incident was in 2012, they charged me for an NFL pass when I never ordered it. After multiple conversations and disputes, they only agreed to give me half off the total charges. Second incident was when I renewed my contract for one year on March 2015 and was told I was getting all premium channels for 6mths, that never happened. Then I called on 9/24/15 to set up a move appt. And asked if I can add a fourth receiver. Customer service says if I add a receiver, I need a new 24 mth commitment. For an extra receiver?!?! This isn't an IPhone launch! I said forget it and just set up the mover appt, he says if you move, it's a 1 year commitment. What?!?! To move? What does my move have to do with wanting your service for another year?!? I said come March 2016, you've lost a long time customer due to your shady business tactics and strong arm policies. I don't need them, they need me. Clearly, people are falling for these traps. By the way, neither Verizon or Time Warner conducts these disgusting tactics. They're clearly learning a thing or two from AT&T. On 9/29, I decided to call and cancel them and pay the early cance fee. This is a tedious process because they put me on hold 5x, made vague threats, and continued to hold me hostage when I made clear I just wanted to cancel. They are unprofessional and shady like a electronics store in Midtown, NY. On top of that, I've started getting texts from strange phone numbers regarding new cable services and deal packages, so I'm almost certain they are selling/distributing consumer information. I've kept recordings and screen shots of everything in case I want to escalate further. They are disgusting and I'm glad and relieved to bring my loyal business to Verizon.

Called a week ago tomorrow because our equipment just stopped working..was told no problem we will send u replacements right out. Recieved small genie on tuesday but not larger reciever..so i called just to make sure no errors were made. Was told if i had not recieved by thursday to call and they would send another out. Surprise surprise i didnt get it. Called back talked to someone else...oh im sorry that was never ordered!!! We will get it right out! Well guess what tomorrow makes a full 7 days!! I have called to follow up and still get a run around! Will be disconnecting and getting dish!!!

first off. you are waited on the phone for a long time. When you did get someone. They keep telling you different things. Each rep you talk to say different price. If I was such a valued customer since 2008. Why can they not do anything for me then. The you get the *** attitude rep. Very unprofessional for a big business. Get your *** together at directv. Because I had a waving discount. I can not cancel my discount just so I can up grade to a dvr system. One tells me I have to pay full price which is over $600. Really in this economy. One lady tells me she was trying to get a free upgrade. one lady told me half price. one lady tells, the snotty one told me the other lady can not give me free upgrade. Again get your *** together directv. Such attitudes from most of the reps. I was on the phone for along time with them.

I spoke with smaller and Rebecca and Katy pooooooooooooor customer service.. I want your equipment off of my property... I want to be contacted about this matter.. I'm not happy with your business.. Installment !!! Will for one I ask for a 4-8 frame since work and the tech called me at 3 asking if I was home didn't answer due to being at work so he texted I told him the time frame i asked for he replied at 4:22 pm and asked if was home and i said yes!!!! I didn't respond till 5ish so called him to see where he was at no luck till he called back and he to go the next appt I do understand there's other customers but he lied and told me he'll be on his way once he was done I kept calling no answer all I had things to do waited till 7 ish to call him one more time he kept forwarding my calls!!! i don't appreciate this behavior at all its so *** rude!!! SO now i have wait till the Company calls and reschedules

Direct TV is a compete sham. They connected an existing dish on a house that I had a short term lease on, without my knowledge, and when I moved for work 6 months later I was charged 270 early termination fee. I made a BOB complaint which they blamed me. After I told them I still was not going to pay they sent me to collections. I was able to settle for 40% less than $270 they originally charged. Stay away from this company.

Direct TV is a joke - stay away from this company! The could not send a list of TV shows my father had service with - he is 80 years old and does not know how to use GUIDE - but NOOO they would no help - but they collect his money for service - stay away !! No help from there customer service ......go with anyone else but them! No help at all with customer service! and a supervisor! they SUCK! DO NOT GO WITH DIRECT TV!!! Their customer service is awful!!~! They refused to help even for my 80 year old father! What the ***!

Did you come across the realization, that if the SUPERVISOR couldn't do it, maybe they literally can not do it?

Or maybe they just did it to spite an 80 year old man?

They're people, with consciences, too

also, they can't do it, do to contractual obligations, with the engineers that program the guide, the broadcasters, themselves

try calling any television provider, and asking for that ^~^

Why don't you go online and do it for him, DirecTV reps are not personal care for the elderly, they can send a list of channels but I personally wouldn't search for individual TV shows that's not the job maybe your father needs in home care and a nurse to help
