I called to have my service disconnected due to a short notice move to care for a very ill family member. Its bad enough they tell me I have to pay a $220 disconnect fee but instead of getting forwarding address the rep was too busy trying to get me to continue my services at my new location. I explained to him I was moving in with a terminally ill family member and wouldn't need to transfer my service and his response was "why dont you talk to them and see if they would be interested in switching to Direct TV and we could throw in the NFL ticket for free." Really? I'm sure my dying mother cares about the NFL ticket. Talk about great customer service! Can you just disconnect my service and send my final bill to my forwarding address please. But it gets worse...about an hour later another rep from the company calls me and asks why I am disconnecting my service. When I explain the situation again she says the same thing to me about transferring the serviceinus the NFL ticket. What part of this conversation are they not understanding? Im sure a dying person isnt concerned about switching cable providers. Direct TV just lost my business forever!

I had a billing dispute with Direct TV over a lousy $25 charge. They agreed to drop it -- but ended up still turning me over to a collection agency. I got hundreds of harassing phone calls from the first, then second, and even third agency. All for a lousy $25 charge. And all because of Direct TV. I will never be part of their services ever again! Direct TV did not care at all that I suffered hundreds of harassing phone calls due to them. All of this for such a small charge in dispute. It became a modern day version of Le Miserables and the loaf of bread was now the disputed $25. I have been a happy customer with Dishnet for 3 yrs now and advise all to consider switching to them if you have a lousy experience with Direct TV.

That is just straight up new jack horse *** they can see from the road that both black cables are reversed, there are 2 types of cables single wire and non single wire if backwards on a Single wire it would not work at all on non single wire it makes no difference say pay the $49 for a service call to fix it you cheap ***

I have been a DirecTV customer for 15 years. For no good reason, we agreed to upgrade to wireless...big mistake. The thing has not worked correctly, we had a tech back which did no good and, when we demanded that they restore our old system, they stated there would be a charge, even though they told us if we didn't like it we could have everything back...free. Absurd!

Directv - Phone-Internet-tv bundle for $79.95 RIP OFF

Original contract was for phone service,Internet & tv with direct tv. Verizon sent box for Internet service then claims the service is not available& threatens to fine me if I do not send the box back! Now my direct tv basic service with not much that interests me is $129.00 a month and my phone bill has gone from $79.00 a month to $150.00. I also had to get my internet from Hughes and it sucks at $59.00 a month. I will have to go back to rabbit ears, as my health insurance is soon going increase about 3 thousand times. Thanks for the combined screw job !!!

I moved and am not allowed to have directv service at my new address because of landlord They will not take this into consideration and just say I need to pay early termination fee or they will send to collection agency Just horrible after 6 years of service I told them this was a temporary move and once I got settled I would start new service but after this experience I would never allow thic company near me again Worst company Your box breaks and in order to get new one you are locked into another contract Stay away from this company Liars

Directv in Jacksonville, Florida - Worst Customer Service

After 8 hours of failed attempts to install service, tech drilled 4 unnecessary holes in the wall of my new house. Customer service refused to credit my account for this huge inconvenience, saying they will only pay up to $150 for the repair that I have to get estimates for and be home for the estimate and the work, missing multiple hours of work. The kicker is the previous owner of the house had directv without holes in his wall and this tech couldn't figure out how to do it after 8 hours and drilled extra holes in the wall before realizing they were in the wrong place.

You need to file a damage claim for that holes, this will be processed like an insurance claim( that's what it is) can you call your insurance company and tell them you hit a pole and that $500 should cover the cost? The answer is no they will say bring it to a shop for an estimate would you consider that an "inconvenience" why should DirecTV pay for your "inconvenience" you could of scheduled for a time that would be better you choose your install date now choose your estimate date if it is going to cause you more "inconvenience" then suck it up and drop it but in this case "no credit for you"

A FAMILY MEMBER HAD HIS BANK ACCOUNT CLEANED OUT BY DIRECT TV .....poor guy was a little down on his luck...lost his job and had to cancel direct tv....he even mailed back his box...but direct tv says Waite a minute you owe us money for past service....so direct tv went into his bank account and took every penny ....that money was his unemployment check....the banks say it's perfectly legal....because he used his debit card to pay past bills....that was his food money....now he is broke for the next two weeks...thanks direct tv

Well congratulations, you the first one of these reviews that doesn't refer to this money as a theft and say they are going to sue and they don't have the right yadda yadda yadda yes this is legal and if he would of called them and made prior arrangements that could of been 35 a month or so. We do that all of the time. So once again thank you for not referring to this as theft like we put a gun to someone's heart to sign up
