I canceled direct tv, they sent me a box with a return label and 3 weeks later they stated they haven't received them and have since charged me. I have filed a dispute with my bank in hopes of recouping my 241.00 Direct tv sucks. I guess since they are being bought out by ATT they don't give a rats *** about the consumer. As far as our local PO is concerned, does it surprise anyone that they can scan the package in but have no way of giving you any info regarding when they scanned the item in.. Leave it to our wonderful corrupt gov't to be in bed with them. Direct tv can kiss my hairy ***.

Directv in Miami, Florida - Technician Refused to do service Installation

We placed a call on Mon. July 20th, 2015 and spoke with a DIRECTV movers rep (Tracy) she was very nice and very knowledgeable and helped us to easily place our move order TV service installation appointment for Thurs. July 23rd, 2015. The service technician was to arrive somewhere between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. We had informed Tracy that we were keeping all of our receivers on our account but that currently only 2-5 would be able to be installed that day. As since we are still in the process of moving not all of our TV's would be up in time for the installation. Tracy said that this was no problem as long as an adult (18+) is home who is authorized to sign installation documents, and the TV's we want setup with our DIRECTV equipment ready to be installed at our new home. Have our phone line or Internet connected before installation so that we can take full advantage of our DIRECTV service. And to set aside time to be home for the entire installation, which can take 3-5 hours once the technician arrives. Great, we were ready for our installation. On the day of installation Thurs. July 23rd, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. we get a call from Mr. Savage the Supervisor for the Service Technician, letting us know that our service tech will be arriving at 10:00 a.m. for the TV service installation. Okay again we are ready. 10:30 a.m. rolls on by and still no service tech, we then receive 2 back to back automated calls stating that DIRECTV has not forgotten about us and will be arriving between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. then asked if this was still okay. Sure the service tech still had an hour to show up. Then at 11:30 a.m. I get a call from the service tech saying he will be here in 15 minutes. 12:30 p.m. comes and goes still no service tech, finally at 1:30 p.m. I get a call from the service tech saying he has arrived. Okay that is fine, but as we show our service tech the 2 TV's we currently have with 2 receivers, he proceeds to ask where all of the other receivers are, we inform him that since we are still moving we do not have all of our TV's setup yet. He then proceeds to claim that due to not all of our receivers being there at the house he cannot perform any service installation. I didn't understand why the service tech would not at least install/setup the 2 TV's we currently had ready. We were not asking for more receivers or new ones. Mind you we have been a customer with DIRECTV since 2004, and have moved with them several times since. We have never had this issue. The service tech then proceeded to leave. Meanwhile I am on the phone with DIRECTV trying to understand why and how the service tech is refusing to just install the 2 TV we have ready? I was told that since they have had a lot of fraudulent issues that all of our receivers need to be ready for the service tech to perform the service installation. That he cannot install only 2 receivers in case of liability. I then asked to speak with a supervisor (Joanna) who had me explain everything to her, she didn't understand why the service tech was refusing to install the 2 receivers either, but would help us reschedule an installation appointment for tomorrow. At this point we were done and just asked to cancel the move service installation order. Luckily, (Joanna) was able to at least get us our money back for the installation fee. We have gone with another TV service provider in the meantime. We will be looking into cancelling our service with DIRECTV indefinitely.

Hi I had DirecTV for quite a long time in 2013 I went to sell my property so I put them on hold and they said no problem then when I wanted to reconnect in a new location they wanted to charge me $500 to install I said it was too much and another couple of months I have six hundred and thirty dollars in 17 cents taken out of my account this is how they treat their customers. They took the money out of my account without my knowledge. The fact was I wanted service but then when they said 500 dollars to reconnect and he could make a deal and bring it down it put a red flag for me, what's going on here I said no I can't afford it so they screwed me either way that I cancel it or didn't cancel it they had all these fees coming out left and right so do this present time they automatically took my money at 630 dollars in 17 cents this is my complaint I would not go back to the company again even though I was with them for quite a long time this is how they treat people when you move and I sold my place that's what they did nice people !

So they offered to give you a lower install price but your spidy sense went off and you decided to walk away then when they took the money they where allowed to see section 5 of your agreement you come on here and whine about it

2 years ago i helped a friend/neighbor who was having some financial trouble by paying her directv bill so she wouldnt lose service and have those extra fees. She was with me when i called the payment in. They wouldnt give either of us the confirmation number for the payment but would email it. She doesnt have email so we gave them my email address. Ive been getting emails about her account ever since despite request to stop and explaining to them that this is not their email address. Ive hit unsubscibe and still get emails. I spoke with 1 representative who said she was going to take care of it and now i cant access MY directv account but i still get emails for my neighbors account on a regular basis. Ive talked to several reps in a few different departments but i still cant access my acount online.

Direct has no remote control features! I use to have Century Link where I could surf between 4 channels. That was nice I could make a line up so when commercials would come on I could watch a different show I was interested in. Now I can only pick recall its hard to remember what number channel your other show was on much less what else was on. With Century Link I could rewind tv in ase I missed something, not anymore. I also hate it when then storm front moves in and the Direct moves out, sometimes you have to wait 30min for the satellite to reboot, even then not all the channels come back for hours. Another complaint is the payment date we just needed them to move it up a couple days because on a 5week month we didn't get paid in time and they would shut our dish off for 3days or so until we got paid. They could care less even after being with them for over 2 years. I won't miss you a bit Direct! Sianara Direct Att Uverse is finally in town! We're setting up 5tv's and 6×faster internet for with a 150$ prepaid visa card and 5dvr's for less than what it cost to run our 4 tv's with no dvr or internet! See ya! Ps come get your *** satellite receiver out of my yard, what an eye soar.

Charging an 80 year old woman on a fixed income an early termination fee based on a contract clause that states if you upgrade your equipment, you automatically renew your 2 year contract. (Changed out a digital box for HD.) This happened more than two years after her original contract had expired. Billed by Century Link, who assured us the contract was expired and no fees were due, she switched to Time Warner to save over $90 per month. Then DirecTV steps in and says she has to pay $200? WTF? If they are going to have other people bill on their behalf, they need to do a better job of communicating with them. The DirecTV flunky on the phone said there was nobody else I could talk to, refused to transfer me to someone else and said if it is not paid promptly they would take it from her bank account she used to sign up. Who cares if she won't be able to pay her other bills. They will do whatever it takes to get theirs. I tried to arrange something that would not have a severe impact on her. No payment plan, no discussion, no compassion. Don't use DirecTV! Love them or hate them, TWC is more responsive, has no contracts and does not take advantage of those who don't understand.
