I have been a loyal customer for 17yrs.I am retired and on a fixed income.About 2yrs ago I talked to customer service about my bill it was suppose to be 65 dollars a month,it was that for one month,then they went back to their unprofessional,rude,nasty ways!! U can't get a straight answer from customer service.I was told to call Direct TV about me canceling my service with them-they wanted to resolve my complaint so I can stay with them.If u are looking for respect,and people that will bend overbackward to resolve the promblem-forget it.With so many complaints about this company everybody can't be wrong. My issue was I needed a few extra days to pay my account!! I was denied after being a loyal customer-and getting 21 people to join due to my recommention I'm sure if my bill was'nt paided in 17 yrs,I wouldn't still be with! I really hope that this email goes to Mike White I would like to inform everyone to type or write him a letter at Direct TV Post office box 6550,Greenwood,Col-80155-6500. I'm sure the head people are leaving it up to customer service to resolve these promblems but they made it worst! I stayed on the phone with them for close to five hours,I was transferred to Miami,Tenn,New York,India. One service advisior to me I would end up owning nothing,only thing that had to reset my service,then he found out they had blackballed me and they can only give me 20 dollars toward my bill of 198.I was told several different stories from all of them.This is a nice way to treat your loyal,devoted customer. A DOG IS treated much better.Thanks for nothing.Dorothy M.

Directv in Galloway, Ohio - False advertising and too long contract and 24 hr service cancellation.

I switched from u-verse and thought I was getting a deal at 39.99 cable TV and Internet for 74.99 plus tax. What really happened was they don't have Internet they said I could keep AT&T Internet and it would be a bundle. The bundle is to put both services on one bill but you still pay extra for Internet. That would be another 74.00 for Internet and phone! The cable TV service is not just 39.99, it does not include equipment rental for 29.99! When I tried to cancel, they only have 24 hr cancellation.

They took $438.98 out of my account. I did not complete the 2 year contract, but did return their equipment. My gripe is...when I contacted them they would refund $280 if I resigned with them. That seems like blackmail...you stick with us and we'll give you back money..you don't then you will pay. I wouldn't ever have them again...and when I googled it they do this all the time, saying its in the contract. Well how would you know, its done electronically and you don't get a copy.

If your so good using Google why don't you look up the agreement yourself? I will however give you a hint once you do find the contact read section 5 that will explain to you that no money was taken but authorized by you to take

Directv - Nothing is more infuriating than Direct TV customer service!!

We have been with Direct TV for 4-years and stayed with them after our move just for the "free" Sunday Ticket promise. Well of course, despite spending an hour and a half on the phone reviewing our movers order and being suckered into another 2-year contract, we have been billed for Sunday Ticket. When we call they never know what the *** we are talking about. How is the billing department oblivious to what was ordered? They must type the orders in so how in the *** do they not know that we ordered 4 boxes and yet billed us for 5 and were given the Sunday Ticket promotion as part of our movers deal and yet we were billed for the service. What the *** is going on??!? This happened to us 2 years ago when we moved and had to make repeated phone calls to have the charges removed. How do you not know what the movers deal is?!?

every time it rains a little I have to either switch to sd channels or I loss of t v all together after many calls to them till no results. They should look at there commercials where they say there service is so good. Look at there commercials get rid of the of the over paid relative horse and the goat put money into you company and fix your the problems. All I get every time I call is it is out of there control and they don`t give credits. But there charging for a full service but you only get half. Had cable before them and I never had a problem. I am going to try DISH next.

Have you asked for a tech to come out, let me guess you demanded one till you found out its 49.95 then declined to pay it and demand credits for something you refuse to get fixed

I called direct tv over a dispute in my bill I have two accounts aand the one I no longer neeed so I wanted to cancle it but they wouldn't cancle it they want me to pay the wole bill witch I cant at the time bc of money situations and they told me they would not work with me on payment arrangements either pay the bill or be sent to collections I have been a customer of direct tv for over 10 Years now and I am very dissatisfied with how they treated me I will be canclaling my other account with theme as soon as it is up

Directv in Belen, New Mexico - Poor customer service and deceptive claim regarding channel in package

First let me say I have had Direct TV service for almost 10 years. I recently went online to compare packages and found that the directory for my package shows a PBS station that I cannot access. I called customer service where they tried to connect this channel without success. They told me that someone from technical support would be in contact within 48 hours. Sometime during the second day after the call I received an email that said Direct TV was happy to resolve my problem... They blew me off, they resolved nothing. I really wish they would stop blowing smoke about their customer service. I get aggravated every time I see the add about how they are some much more responsive than Dish. It just ain't so.

If you're referring to channel 389, that's a PBS station available ONLY for people who don't have a local PBS. I Googled your town and see that you do have a local station, KMNE, channel 5. Since you have a local, the PBS station for people without locals is not active for you.
