Directv in Elizabethtown, Kentucky - Overcharged for something we don't even want....

I have auto pay with direct tv. I have been charged double and have added a sports package and I hate sports. It is nothing more than a crooked skeme to take money from people. They have taken 212.87 for my bill this month said I didn't pay last months bill *** it is auto pay and it was taken out. I don't have the time to sit on a phone for hours waiting for one of their non english speaking customer service people. I Dont like crooks and this is just another way for the sorry people of this place to get money never will understand way that has happened to any thing in this country....

so you first fight the charge with your CC or bank, if they won't help you, you close your account due to direct tv's inability to help you faster than you'd like.

you do realize that many many major companies outsource their customer service for the bottom line of pleasing shareholders and/or filling their own pockets with $$$ saved right?

i had a similar issue with AT&T years ago with their phone service that i was getting charged for features i never wanted and kept getting transferred and transferred.

45min later i hear "sir are you still there?"

"yeah sorry i fell asleep while on hold"

"sorry about that, it shows here that blah blah blah feature has been getting charged for xxx months correct?" "yeah i never knew it was on there and if they check they can see i never accessed nor attempted to access it , but didn't notice the item till i went overdue on a bill and went through it line by line checking things" long story short, another 15minutes later the problem was corrected and i was actually credited back the $$$ they had charged me over the past many months. while i doubt you'll get the same from direct tv it just goes to show sometimes you do have to be patient to get what you want, many of those customer service people are reading from a script and that's all many are paid to do.

So the moral of the story is you took the time to call and the problem is solved you say to call your card company/bank and dispute the charge well when you fill out the forms it ask you did you try and work the issue out with the merchant you can say no I didn't want to call because it takes too long, outcome dispute denied failure to contact merchant or option 2 is lie say you did try and they told you to goto *** you signed that law that includes perjury language and when the investigation is complete outcome claim denied false information provided so be lazy loose the money or call DirecTV and correct the problem it's your choice but you only have 60 days to dispute billing errors before it becomes your issue and no refund is required

The average person who works, takes care of their family, and takes care of their comes doesn't have time to wait HOURS on the phone for Direct TV to transfer them from one department to the next while waiting on hold for 15 minutes each time only to explain the whole issue again to the next agent, who speaks less English then the previous one. Then after you explain it and they ask the same question 10 times, placing you on hold for 10 min to look up and read your file "notes" they inform they can't help you and have to transfer you, AGAIN!

So since this seems to happen to millions of people, not just me and the reviewer abover, I do have to state that you're a lucky person to have the free time to sit on the phone for hours with a company that refuses to own up to their mistakes and enjoys giving you the run around. I wish I had hours to sit on the phone, must be nice.

I see all these people complaints about hold time I have found that a 15-20 minute phone call is worth the effort so how much is your time worth if this customer is willing to give up they money so not to have to make that 20 minutes call then I say again yes they deserve to loose the money

horse and women. Please this is something that is about a photo shopped women hupping a beach, a horse who obviously has little talent exact rubbing a horse! All time low! this has nothing to do with satellite TV. This takes little talent that 90 percent of women can do at anytime. Really, this is nothing but thinking about sex. shame on you and the model who thinks this is something new, sorry no it is so silly most men do not even give a second look and by the way women are not even interesting in this as they have as much or more ,only then men. You missed the mark again, must of had men decide this one.

Directv - Service Transfer Review from Paramount, California

7/26/15 I contacted DIRECT TV on June 5th to cancel NFL Sunday Ticket got an overdraft alert from my bank for the month of July I was still being charged for Sunday ticket Called DIRECT TV talked to some amazing customer service people on 7/26/15 who informed me there was nothing they could do to refund my money back to my card today and they would have to send it to their finance department and I probably won't be reimbursed for the next 5 to 10 days So I ask to speak to someone else and they referred me to the supervisor "SANDY " she said when I called to cancel on June 5th the person put it in the notes but was suppose to transfer me to another department so it could be removed So I asked to speak to her boss because of their error and she said there's no one over her So I said everybody has a boss because I know she is not the CEO of DIRECT TV It's called Direct tv not "Sandy tv " and mind you she proceed to keep apologizing but not one time did she even make the attempt to compensate me because of their error until I mentioned it She is not a person that needs to be referred to in hopes of trying to defuse the situation because she didn't do anything but make matters worst

All I wanted was to find out what service would cost for the whole two years as I was going to pay in advance, but they were too busy refusing to give me that information unless I gave a phone number and name for an account FIRST. I do not fill out the paperwork to buy a car before I get answers and test drive it...duh! Why would I give that before I get infomation from a tv service?

Directv in Penn Yan, New York - New Contract with faulty equipment replacement

I called to stop the auto renewal (which I told them not to sign me up for and they ignored) on my account. The cost goes up automatically oddly enough. I renewed my contract 2 years ago, but a receiver went bad and had to be replaced last year. I am told that I am automatically renewed for 2 years when they replace defective equipment!! They forgot to tell me that when they replaced the junk receiver I guess. They now want to charge me $240 to stop my service! I have heard about some of their "tricks" before and cancelled them years ago for similar reasons. Shame on me for getting sucked back in. BEWARE, they will trap you if possible!

DIRECtv does not want me as a costumer

I used to have direcTV, Then I got shut off for not paying a bill since I had to leave because my mother had a heart attack. I found out that they shut my service off and charged me 500 bucks and I was no longer a costumer with them.. So I switched to cable. I actually tried to become a costumer again and they would not give me the new costumer specials because I had DirecTV in the last 24 months! So then I tried to put it in my OWN name (it was in wifes) and they said my credit was bad and wanted 400 bucks up front plus they would not give me the same deals as "new costumers"!!! I'm NOT paying 400 upfront and I want the same deals as everyone else including Sunday Ticket for free like you offer!!! 400 upfront!!! When I went to cable, I had no problems with credit check, they just wanted me as a costumer. DirecTV shame on you.. I They knew exactly what went on my wife called them crying. DirecTV went ahead and took money out of my bank account when they shut us off. So we actually paid the bill but they still kicked us out anyways. I didn't care since I had other things more important going on. Over the last week I've tried my best for them to accept me as a costumer ( I was a costumer for years) countless phone calls and NONE of them would give me service without paying 400 bucks and not getting and of the new costumer specials.. Horrible people over there. My last time talking to a rep they told me to write a letter to Wisconsin I believe.. Write a letter? really? I should not have to go through hoops for you to want costumers! Comcast BEGS people, Charter actually gave me cable, and not only did I not have to pay anything upfront they gave me the first 2 months FREE AND I GOT FREE ROUTER!!!! I PAID NOTHING!!!!! WOW what a difference! DirecTV I really liked your service but I guess you don't want anymore costumers..

TV went out tonight. Called customer service and was told the box needed to be replaced. I wanted a service truck out to replace the box but was told service trucks only carry boxes for new customers not existing customers. Supervisor could not have cared any less about the inconvenience caused for not getting a service to me that I'm paying for upfront every month because they debit my bank account in advance. Let me tell you AT&T must already own them because this is typical AT&T customer service. Go elsewhere for your entertainment needs.

So they wanted to send you a replacement but you wanted a tech bet you would of really thrown a fit if they gave you the service call at a cost of $49/also ask them about time w/o service credit they will prorate the days not working for the $6.50 a month for the other receivers

I canceled direct tv, they sent me a box with a return label and 3 weeks later they stated they haven't received them and have since charged me. I have filed a dispute with my bank in hopes of recouping my 241.00 Direct tv sucks. I guess since they are being bought out by ATT they don't give a rats *** about the consumer. As far as our local PO is concerned, does it surprise anyone that they can scan the package in but have no way of giving you any info regarding when they scanned the item in.. Leave it to our wonderful corrupt gov't to be in bed with them. Direct tv can kiss my hairy ***.
