Directv - Equipment left after discontinued service

A renter had direct tv installed at a residence & when renter left & service disconnected, the ugly dish that they installed in the middle of the back yard remained. Since I have never used cable or satellite service, the policy is unclear that this gaudy dish is property of the customer. When trying to get this ugly piece of equipment removed, I was told to contact a recycling website that has no sources in our area. This incident is another reason I have not & will not ever have satellite services and will always discourage my family & friends from using their service. I will also make sure any one I know that has rental property is aware of this policy so they are not stuck with such a gaudy piece of equipment & do not allow their renters to have satellite installed, especially direct tv.

Welcome to being a landlord, you better talk to your attorney though renters have rights also they can not drill your property but can put it in an area that is being rented(back yard for example) the dish becomes the customers property when installed, if one is installed and not removed that's what security deposit is for this is not a DirecTV issue it is a rental/landlord issue

May 7, 15 Jerry McKenney Tech#39654 refused to reinstall a pole for the dish. Discussed with his supervisor Chris Flood Tech#39654 and said he would not allow his technicians to reinstall due to height of fence 48" since it would not allow 3' in the ground. I recommended to place 2 bag 80lbs concrete to the 3' depth. I have concrete on hand. Chris refused and said that none of his technicians would install pole unless it was 3' in ground regardless of the concrete. The previous installation was completed three years ago at 2' with 40lbs of concrete. I contacted Case Management, John in Southern Organ. He agreed that the concrete should be more than sufficient. I also talked with Amanda, Florida #100191306 and Dillon #417745. An appointment was setup for 12-4 today. Received a call from the local office, the person would not identify himself or his number, and said that they would not be coming out unless the pole had been installed. The call was logged as a hangup. Dillon said that the appointment was still valid and he resent a message to the local company. Since this appears to be a "*** contest with myself and Chris Flood, I request a technician from Long View be sent to re-evaluate this problem. James E. Directv - Installation Review from Chicago, Illinois

I called to reschedule my installation appointment and had a question about the initial bundl. The man who took my call, Justin or Jeff, when i asked him a second time for it he was not very clear about it. It seemed he was just so annoyed answering my questions. He also did not paused when i had something to say. He kept talking so i raised my voice at him. His attitude was unnecessary. After i told asked him i need to speak with someone else, and he said i simply had tp call back. I told him i was not going to waste my time with him, he hung up on me. I am a customer and this service rep lacks rofessionalism. An email was submitted to a supervisor by a much helpful and polite rep. I dont ever want and need to have to deal with this kind of person.

It is not that reps job to transfer you to someone you like and sometimes there is a delay on the phones as well in short if you don't like the rep call back I would tell you to pound sand as well as far as hanging up by that time you probably already demonstrated that call was going to be unproductive so why waste their time for nothing

DO NOT GET DIRECTV

I called Directv in early April to get the date my account was paid through and was told April 29th, on April 28th I called Directv to cancel service after eight years of ever increasing costs with diminishing service and was told I had an early termination fee for a DVR that was added one year prior. After explaining that a DVR was not added it was a replacement DVR that was sent under the insurance I pay each month (after a thirty minute call) they stated the fee would be removed. low and behold I receive a bill for $484.60 including early termination fees and service fees. I called again after explaining the situation to two employees (each of which stated the comments in the computer showed the fee was to be removed) and again I was told that the fee would be removed, then after inquiring as to the service fees was told that the are service fees for March 29 to April 29th. I stated again that I was told by a Directv employee that my account was paid through April 29th, and was told the last payment the received was in March (for the April service) again I stated "Don't you bill in advance?" and was told yes then I said you are billing me twice for the same period. This went on to no resolve so it looks like I will end up paying $128.00 for a disconnect fee/double billing/unused service whatever you want to call it. I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, they operate under devious business practices to defraud subscribers.

Drivers were speeding and tailgating me. The first van #575WH tried to get the phone number. The van behind him sped up so i didnt get a good look at the phone number. The second van had his information hidden.

Directv in Duluth, Minnesota - Shame shame on this company always charging more n more for channels

I am a homebound senior citizen . had to give up movie channels n other channels I enjoyed as the cost kept going up. will we are on fixed incomes.i am home all days n nights. due to your charges I have a few channels one being movie channels that are way out of my price range, have many channels like skin secrets,Qyz, all channels wanting me to buy something????? and a lot of the other channels are repeats. my husband has to call every 2 months as they are charging more for this ***. I called today to see about some kind of promo or senior discounts was transferred 5 times. nothing solved, very very disappointed what can you do for me, to go to another service is a total hassel, but yous do not care about your customers , so what am I to do?????????

Directv in La Puente, California - Bad customer service. Issue not resolved.

I ordered the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight 3 days prior to the fight. I had to re-order it on the same day because the channel wouldn't let me watch. I called customer service numerous times. The line was either busy or the recording said I would have to pay $5 to speak to a live person. Everytime I was on hold to speak to a live person the line would go to a busy signal and then hang up. I finally ordered the fight again and starting watching it after it began with a house full of guests. I called the next day they said the records didn't show I called numerous times, I wasn't charged twice and to bad you were able to watch the fight after it started. I told them I have phone records to prove it. They said it won't help

I don't see a problem, you got you ppv and didn't pay the $5 fee what do you want?.. Wait I know you want them to waive the cost of the fight for your "inconvenience" well let me tell you as a supervisor that's not going to happen I had 17 people calling me yesterday making up anything they can for to get us to remove the $99 charge I and can say that not one person got the charge removed, that is policy and I love it when people go off because I'll put myself on mute drink my coffee let them yell laugh at you and tell the same think NO REFUNDS

Directv in Englewood, Colorado - Worthless

Dish to receiver signal has died for second time in 3 weeks. Did everything they said to do. Now, I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks to have a 'technician' visit. I live in Steamboat Springs CO. They had no issue finding someone to install it when I moved here; but now, no one seems to work for DirecTV here I suppose. No way. On hold now, telling a supervisor's supervisor to come get their stuff and never come back. What a pitiful joke. Maybe this is why they're cheaper than Comcast -- nothing actually works. It will be interesting to see how they handle this. Like having a new car (I've had this 4 months now) but you don't have the keys. Yet the payments are still due. Not for me!

Awe you poor thing, you have to wait in line for service let me ask you did they tell you that they would try to contact the local office to try and get you another date, I am a tech supervisor I KNOW that they (dtv term that they use is FSR field service request) did but you being the child you are couldn't accept anything less the. Someone in 24 hours or less so yes cancel your service but expect a fee another term your gonna learn is ECF ( early cancelation fees) and you can cry and throw all the fits you want it will not be waived and probably laughed at while they have you on mute if you don't pay they will get their money one way or another so in short suck it up ***

Yes I was traveling on the Indiana Illinois state line a direct tv van came right up on me I was hauling something and mind you going down a gravel road he passes me run me off road and threw gravel all over me and my daughter it was totally uncalled for he was going two seconds around the curve were I was going and then he cussed me out I will never be a customer on this company it was right out of st Bernice Indiana and chrisman il at 4:00 in 3il and I called police made report hopefully this guy was fired he was crazy driving and had no concern for other people
