Directv - Satellite Service Review from Mountain Green, Utah

Wow, I have never in my life had to deal with such rude people. I was a customer for 17 years. I moved tried to bundle. Then got 2 account numbers. I paid mine but still got disconnected. Spent hours on the phone each billing cycle and finally "fired" them. I am the customer and I can do that. It cost me money but now I smile when I see the Dish Satalite in my house. The Dish is not as good but their customer service is great. Well worth the headaches I had with DRV. Never again. I would rather step on a cat turd barefooted.

I have been on the phone with this company 4 times this week for *** *** and they just can't get it done, never sent a bill now they want 282.00. I've been a customer for over 10 yrs and real close to calling it quits.

No...I am on Genie 2 and it is the same sad, sad, story for over a year and a half now. 8 hours on the phone with tech support so far. Shows won't play in their entirety (even though it says all the program time is there...5 minuets before end it stops). And yes...they refuse to let you save the series manager recording list or allow you to copy the shows to the endless swap out units that I have had to go through trying to correct the problem. I am done with them. Just say no to Directv!

I enjoy DirectTV services, no interruptions or cuts. I guess for some it works for others it doesn't. For the ones having issues try calling them constantly so they understand you have a real problem and you will not stop calling until the problem is fixed. Basic but works. :) I know it can be frustrating at times but service companies that have a large client base needs to be called up often. The more you call the more time they have to spend on your account. So if they just try their best to fix it chances are you won't be calling and taking their time. Try it!

I have over 8 hours of phone time and my issues are still not resolved

Great TV....worst company to deal with on the entire planet. They've charged me thousands for services & equipment I've canceled or no longer have...some of which I'm not even sure if I've ever had!

All kinds of "Other Charges"....you better be looking at your bill every month! Good luck when you see the issues

I had direct tv for 2 years and in that time had to pay for tv that I couldn't watch every time it rained the receiver would lose signal and no tv payed for about 120 hours of tv that I couldn't watch. Then started having problems with my bill going up and up come to find out there were credit's attached to my account that they weren't giving me billed reached at high as 170.00 a month after the credits dropped to around 100.00 a month they say they have 93 percent customer satisfaction I don't know how with there poor service

Same issue every time it rains no signal ! Better than cable my butt !

Had bright house for years never an issue except when hurricanes came through ! I hate this *** but I'm stuck until 2016 !

I signed up for a bundle with internet, they put me with a satellite company and I reached my max data cap in 4 days. The satellite company let me out of my contract with them and said they have this issue all the time with Direct TV customers because Direct TV will just lock anyone in with them even if it will not meet the person's needs. Now Direct TV will not let me out of my contract. I asked them to bundle me with another internet company then and guess what... They have none in my area and still will not let me out of my contract. I'm still fighting this.

Fight all you want, The directv service is working ok, you got a problem with the internet part and that is a different company, the DTV contact does not guarantee access to a bundled provider just that your DIRECTV will work you signed the agreement, last time I checked the reps are not holding guns to anybody's head

Directv in Waukon, Iowa - Direct TV dropped my local NBC channel

I am so tired of these *** arguments that Direct TV is having with our local channels. First it was KCRG, which was off the air for months - so that I ended up having to get the national network channel and pay an extra 2.50 a month for it. Now we just got KCRG back and now KWWL is off the air, with NO WARNING what so ever. This is ridiculous. To top it off, Direct Tv raises the rates every year - for less and less service. I had to wait a month to get the ABC national affiliate. But I have relied on KWWL for my weather information and the national affiliate won't cut it. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! I am way more than tired of this entire deal. I live too far from these stations to get a decent signal off antenna unless I put a huge one on my roof, and that is not possible. Cable or satellite are my only options.

You should take it up with the local provider, dtv does not tell them they will not broadcast the local channel, the local provider tells dtv you are NOT ALLOWED to broadcast our signal, the provider has the master off and on switch not DTV

Directv in Manchester, Iowa - Not getting what was promised

I began with Direct TV with the understanding that I would have all the local stations not the agreement that you can delete stations when you see fit. Today I excpect to watch the news and weather on our local station (KWWL) but to my amazement, without any notice, the station is dark! The weather channel won't cut it.I would like to know how Direct TV would like the tables turned. Shall I adjust my monthly payment or shall I retain a payment when I see fit without notice!This company is beginning to be more like the competitive company which I have down graded for at least 20 years. PLEASE look at your image as well as your profits!

You're welcome to withhold payment, but there are consequences for doing so, as long as you're ready for late fees and early cancelation fees. You should consider calling the local channel provider they are the one that pulled the channel not DirecTV or call DirecTV and ask for a "AM21" off air receiver

Been with directv since 2002 Sevierville was 69.00 now 268.00 goes up every few months and they say we sent you letter. Well I told them to take they service stick it up there ***. I went with comcast Internet home phone security system for home 240 channels all prime channels HBO stars encode showtime Cinemax 5 t.v's all for 166.88 a month locked in for 2 yrs directv is my *** you never will get that 268.00......?
