Directv in Danville, Indiana - They take your money out of your account with out your permission

I had my service shut off like 2 or 3 months ago since I could no longer pa it, being a single mom it was either food for my 4 kids or cable.... Easy choice for me. Well tonight I got paid my little pay check from working only 15 hrs and had sat own to make a grocery list for tomorrow's shopping trip. Well not even 10 minutes after my check hit my bank account direct tv took every single penny! When I called to get my money back like my bank told me to the lady very sweetly, in her southern bell accent, informed me it was not her fault and that I agreed to them taking the money when I paid my account with my bank card. She refused to give me my money back even after I inform her I need it for groceries for my kids. She told me I should of planned better and the only way I MIGHT get my money back is to file a dispute with my bank but she highly doubts even that would work.

Directv in Placerville, California - Bad Hardware and you will get charged for replacements

I had a DVR that had power problems and had it replaced for a $30.00 fee. They didn't send a remote with it. The remote is so worn out that you need to use a tool to manipulate the on button to get it started (we leave it on until it times out now) I called and asked why the new unit they send did not include a remote, they said it was another $15.00 for the remote (but they said they would pay the shipping) How Lame.... I tole them I would just Cancel my subscription after 10 years and hung up. I was to pissed off to do it at that time. I will cancel it and then have them reinstall it under another name and start with new equipment and make them do way more work and expense to get new equipment. I did this before when they were a new company, it works great. Their customer service is the absolute worse on the planet.

Direct TV will not care a bit about you once they got you in the system. As long as your payments are kept up. If you miss or are late they are right on top of it but if their equipment has a problem, they will run you around to everyone in India and then charge you for a replacement of their pore quality equipment.

If this happens to you, just cancel the account and get it reinstalled under someone else name.

Make them do all the work over and supply new equipment.

Real *** way to do business...

Supply long term customers replacement equipment when it wears out. Dont charge the customer that pays already a high price every month since you have been in business.

We moved to a new home and had our services transferred. What a mistake! Never had probs before but this tech was HORRIBLE!! He showed up as scheduled but would not get on room because it was cold and windy. Then decided to attach our satellite to a broken wooden pallet and leaned it against the back of our trailer but asked my husband to move everything because he had forgotten his gloves. Then left. Did not run cables our set up receivers or even adjust satellite to work because he was cold. After he left we promptly called Direct tv and was transferred several times before finally talking to a supervisor who told us another tech would call and be out within 30 minutes to an hour. Now days later Monday husband had to finish my he job because we never heard back from anyone and direct tv said we would still be liable for the $199 installation fee because once a tech shows up you are billed regardless if he does any work or not!!!!! Ridiculous!!! And the call was dropped after that. How convenient! Now I have to go through the system again and start the whole fight with customer service all over!!! I would never recommend them to anyone!!!!

Every month there is some increase. I discontinued a protection plan of eight dollars a month to save some money, and this months bill comes in higher than last. There is some increase every eight months. I've stripped down every thing possible every detail and the bill still comes higher. There is now a "Regional sports fee" , I don't watch sports and I'm not paying for someone else to watch

Directv in Brentwood, Tennessee - Message on screen/ blocking viewing time.

Message keeps coming on the screen about contacting them. Interupting program every few minutes. I have until the 12th to pay the bill. Is this not some form of harassment? Would they not need to make reimbursements for the time this message takes from my viewing time? Plan to write / file other complaints with other folks that can and will eventually do something. After all at&t felt too big to get spanked but what happened? Just like now it has to start somewhere. So when I pay the bill are they going to credit me for viewing time I did not get? This is payment for service not recieved isnt it?

Wanted service for a vacation home. Been with directv for 15 yrs. they said we had to give our ss# to do a credit check for another account#. So ***. Do our years mean nothing. I refused to do this. We shouldn't have to go through this. I told them I would use dish b4 I would do that. It's the principal of it. What should of been said was mr.dave Fennel we would be glad to do another account for u. So mad and irritated. Please someone look at our account and see why we should not go through all this.

Directv in Lady Lake, Florida - Raising prices, no tv due to weather

I have been with Directv for over 10 years now (not by choice). We have no tv for hours when it rains and it rains all summer long in Florida. No discounts for that either and since the starting date the rates have been doubled. Last month my bill was $84 for just regular tv.. no HBO no Sports channel packages added. Today I received the bill for this month $93 !! I called and asked what was going on. Well their contract negotiations resulted in an increase of their prices so they added only a small portion to their customers blah blah blah... So my reply was: "If your rent or insurance increases do you tell Directv to increase your wages by a certain amount per month to cover your extra expenses ? Needles to say the supervisors answer was no. She offered me a $15 discount for 12 months if I would sign up for 12 more months or a $5 discount if I would sign up for paperless/automatic bill payment... I don't think so... Well she continued we can change your package to a lower cost package... THAT IS NOT MY POINT... I am paying double price for the same package I started with. Of course there was no other offer to reduce my monthly price. I will cancel my service by next month. I'm done with them.

I've worked for Directv almost 3 years, the first year was a little hard. But since then it is pretty good job, decent pay for a callcenter job. Monthly bonuses of $150 to over $350 every month. Three pay raises in the first 2 1/2 year ( one of over $1.25 an hour) . Free Directv package with premium channels and a free DVR. Contests , prizes and more. I have won gifts about every 3 months. The training is top ranked , the supervisors are pretty good and excellent opportunity for promotion. I do think this is a good job for someone who does not have a college degree. Lots of room for advancement but lots of competition for the jobs.

I guess they have to pay the employees good in order for them to do such horrible things to the customers that are paying for all this. I know I could not in all sincerity be a part of lying and ripping off senior citizens and moms with small kids in order to help an evil company like DTV.

If you want to find out bad Directv is toward its customers just get in a bind with your funds and have a service interruption. They come after you with a vengeance. By the time you get it all cleared up and service is back on, you will despise directv. They are not human.

Directv in Boise, Idaho - GenieGo Does Not Work - Advise Against - Do Not Buy

Long story short, this product does not work. It is slow, grainy picture, streaming is hit and miss, drops connect, downloading shows is painfully slow. Great idea, bad product. Advise against buying, save your money and download content via other means. I bought this to save money rather than download from iTunes. However, for the price, I can download a lot of shows and iTunes just works. This, on the other hand, does not work. Frankly, it should not be on the market. The concept is a good idea, but the technology is just not there, at least with this product.

I have had my Geniego for several years and it works fine for downloading and viewing recorded programs on my PC / Tablet while I am traveling via airplane. This was why I purchased it and it is excellent at this.
